Such a beautiful, quality dress! But ran smaller and shorter than expected. Even though I looked at all the other reviews and ordered based on similar body shapes, it still was very tight on top. I wondered if RTR sent the wrong size, but couldn’t find a tag anywhere. 

Fit made the black slip stick out if not adjusted inside and outside and the bust was made for more fill but had quite a bit of padding. This was a very modest and elegant dress, many women complimented. Not quite the quality of material I was expecting but only the person wearing it would know. Thought about buying it!

This dress felt so perfect for the fancy formal wedding, I was worried it might be scratchy but it fit perfectly and was very comfortable! 

The dress came with the inner layer longer than the outer layer - flawed. Beyond that the fit was not good anyways for my body type.

Fit well, a little tight around the booty. Didn't wear this for my event but was nice otherwise, besides the slip being longer than the outer layer. That might be an issue just with this dress. 

I usually wear a 6 or 8 and in this case only 8 was available. It fit well, and needed no additional undergarments since the lining and built in bra are enough. I thought the style and coverage made it work for any age wearer. Ultimately I didn't wear this for my event but will remember it for future. 

Pre-COVID I reliably wore a size 0P in all dresses, but with some COVID weight gain, I wasn't 100% sure what size gown I now wore (I went from 101 lbs to 116 lbs). With that in mind, I rented a 0 with a 2 as a backup. The 2 was only available in a long, which was unfortunate since I'm just a hair under 5 ft tall. As I thought might be the case, the 0 was too small in my hips (I am pear shaped) but fit everywhere else. The 2 fit wonderfully however, and was incredibly flattering! This is definitely a figure-hugging dress with no room to hide. The "long" was unsurprisingly way too long, which fixed by taping up the black underlayer. The gold lace overlayer was a bit long too (only by about an inch) but it didn't get in my way in the front and in the back just functioned like a train so I did not need to tape that part up (see the photo for how the "long" fit with no alterations to the gold overlayer part). I wore 4" heels in this size long, making me about 5'4", so I wonder whether even in the long fit this dress would be too short if you are really tall. This dress has a built-in bra which is nice since the back is somewhat low, but I ended up wearing a padded bra anyways because I'm only a 32A and I couldn't fill out the built-in bra otherwise. Overall, I absolutely loved this dress. I felt really glamorous and received compliments all night long. I highly recommend it!

This dress was my back-up option. It wasn't available in my normal size 8, so I went with a 10R. The 10R fit perfectly and was absolutely stunning. The dress was extremely comfortable with some give to it. I loved it.

Fit was ok. I probably needed the 4, but it was not available. I rented for a portrait picture and it was the perfect dress. I made the 2 work and I actually liked the longer length for the picture, but might have been hard to walk around a lot in. 

I don't dress up often, but got so many compliments on this dress. It fit perfectly, though when I first put it on I felt it was a little short in front. By the end of the night I was glad it wasn't longer. The lace is gorgeous and adds stunning detail to this classic dress. I didn't need a bra because of the structure of the bodice, which was good because the back of my strapless was higher than the dress. 

This was a dress back up choice for me. What a gorgeous dress! Fit was true to size and the bustier made it so I didn't need a bra. Felt elegant and beautiful all night. Definitely a must rent!
Also, RTR was great. First time renting here and when the first two choices didn't work, the second ones came so quickly it was perfect. Super easy process and all the gowns were just stunning in person. Thank you, RTR! I'll be back!

Just the look I was going for at the annual work Gala! Loved the glam factor on this dress! Form fitting yet comfortable and I loved that there was a built in bra!! Received lots of compliments all evening 

Great dress-- the built in corset plus spanx worked well together! I did have to watch the short train while walking through crowds.

Had a gala for my city's academy of music.  Ball gowns were required.   This dress was perfect.  It fit like a glove and didn't even need to be hemmed.  I got the size 16R and Im usually a size 12/14.  The bust already has supports and I didnt need to hemtape it at all when wearing 3 inch heels. (Total height 5'6")

The process for the rental was very easy. The length of the gown was perfect and the fit of the dress was great. I received many compliments. I appreciated the built in bustier. 

I wasn't as excited about this dress as I wanted to be at the beginning of the night, but it grew on me as the hours went by. Built in bra has clasps in the back, which I didn't understand from other reviews. It was a bit hard to hook, but I've had experience getting a wetsuit on, so I employed similar tactics and got it done. The bra was a little uncomfortable, at first, but became more comfortable as the night went on. I am very small chested and added some "cutlets" to fill things out. Unfortunately, I didn't secure them with fashion tape and they migrated to the center several times. I'm sure no-one else noticed them through the lace of the bodice, but I did. Had to go to the ladies room and readjust several times. Not the fault of the dress, though. I am just under 5'7" and ended up wearing the 0L with 3" heels and the length was great. I loved the train.  The dress was perfect for a formal military function and I got plenty of compliments. I would definitely rent this dress again. 

I loved this dress! I ordered my normal size and it fit like a glove. It was a little difficult to move around because it was still tight past my knees but overall it was also comfortable

This was such a fun dress to wear for New Years! 

Fit decently well, didn't have to wear a bra as it has inner lining bralette as part of dress. It was a little loose up top though I am 34DD bra and slightly too long (I'm 5'7" and wore 2" heels.) It's very beautiful and I received many compliments! Also easy to move and dance in. Fun!!

I chose a different dress but this was a close runner up. Really beautiful scoop in the back and the gold is really pretty. I had to rent in a long because the regular was taken, it was definitely long but with heel would have just been dragging the floor a bit. 

This didn't have the wow I was looking for so I went with my other choice. The front of the dress is a little shorter than the back. I assumed that the back was supposed to drag a little but it came way too short on me.

I have people coming up and complimenting me all night!  Multiple colleagues told me I was the best dressed at our black tie holiday party in this dress.  I came out of the bedroom and my 4 year old son said "Mommy, you look like Elsa!".  It is very elegant and classy and fun, with just enough sparkle.  I'm 5'6" and the 2L was the perfect length with a 2.5 inch heel.  Built in corset thingy meant I didn't need a bra. 

I loved this dress but the larger size was still too small. I am about a size 10 these days but it didn't completely close in the back. But I did love the dress and maybe next time I have a formal event I'll try again!

An absolutely stunning dress which I wore to a black tie Christmas gala.  I highly recommend this dress!

I rented this dress for a Gala, with the theme of 'Putting on the Ritz' This dress couldn't have been more perfect. It fit great, even the length. I'm 5'4, 150lb and I went with the size 8r. I was so comfortable all night. I loved the high neck line and the detail in the dress. 

Great dress for a black tie wedding! I run between a 4 and 6 and thought the 6 was perfect with room to dance. It did run a bit long in the back. I am 5'6" and wore 2 1/2 inch heels which were generally okay but would sometimes catch on the overlay. I ended up pinning the overlay up towards the end of the night to avoid this. Also, there's a corset under the overlay so you don't necessarily need a bra (though the corset in my dress tended to bunch awkwardly). 

Wore to a formal wedding. Beautiful dress, a lot of compliments.

I am 5'3" and need to wear 3" heels and it was still a little bit long. Over fit wonderful. 

I'm usually a size 6 but this dress was too snug. The 8 petite was a perfect fit. Gorgeous dress. I received so many compliments. 

Pros: This was actually the back up dress RTR sent me and I'm so happy they did I loved the style and fit of this one A LOT better than the one I originally picked for myself, I got tons of compliments all night I loved it so much I wore it to dinner after the recital too!  Cons: if you have an hourglass or pear shape I would get a size up I normally wear a size 2 or 4 and my hips measure 38in and it was a little snug aroun the hips and thighs but nothing that was unbareable just something to know when purchasing this dress 

I normally wear a size 8, and I needed to wear the size 10.  If you are 5'7" or taller, I would absolutely recommend ordering the long.  Beautiful dress!

I rented this dress for a black-tie gala and originally rented the four and six regular length. While both fit me, the regular length ran short on me. I'm 5'6" and thankfully when I called about the length RTR was able to quick ship the 6 long which was perfect with 2-3 inch heels. This dress garnered tons of compliments all night long and is both unique and elegant. My favorite part was the slight mermaid silhouette and the plunging back. Added bonus was that I didn't need a bra with the awesome built in bustier! An excellent option for a black-tie event. You won't regret it!

This was sent to me as a backup. I didn't like it at first, honestly, I thought it looked a bit Mother of the Bride" to me. BUT I ended up having to wear it last minute and it grew on me. Very pretty in person and got a TON of compliments. Very comfortable. I wear a 12 usually but the 16 fit me like a glove. 

I loved this dress, I felt very comfortable in it all night. I got many compliments!  I have a bigger chest and usually my boobs are spilling out of dresses, but this kept it very modest which made me very comfortable.  It was a little tight, but overall, not so much that i couldn't wear it.  

I loved this dress!  Very well made and elegant.  I received compliments all night long.  The 10L seemed a bit short for me, but I wore kitten heels and was thankful for the extra comfort.   

Dress is gorgeous in person, the gold overlay is stunning, and I got lots of complements - even best dressed!
It's a bit on the shorter side. I'm 5'6 and had to wear kitten heels with size 2R, and the dress was just the right length. If you're above 5'5 and want to wear taller heels definitely go with a long. 2L wasn't available on my dates, but 2R worked out.
I'm usually a size 2, occasionally 0, but definitely not in this dress! 2 fit like a glove with no additional breathing room, and the 4 would have probably been great. If you're between 2 sizes, go with the higher one.

Have loved the look of this dress forever, and rented it for a black-tie wedding. I typically wear a size 10, sometimes a 12 if a dress was too tight in the bust. The 12 in this dress was SO tight in the cap sleeve (which also weirdly cut in too far at the armpit). RTR was out of a 14 so they sent me a 16 to try. It worked, but was baggy in the front and STILL the sleeve cut in too far. It was also close to being too short (I'm 5'7" and wore 2.5 inch heels). Long story short, size up at least one or two sizes, and be prepared to be annoyed by the cap sleeve.
