Fit was ok. I probably needed the 4, but it was not available. I rented for a portrait picture and it was the perfect dress. I made the 2 work and I actually liked the longer length for the picture, but might have been hard to walk around a lot in.

This was a dress back up choice for me. What a gorgeous dress! Fit was true to size and the bustier made it so I didn't need a bra. Felt elegant and beautiful all night. Definitely a must rent! Also, RTR was great. First time renting here and when the first two choices didn't work, the second ones came so quickly it was perfect. Super easy process and all the gowns were just stunning in person. Thank you, RTR! I'll be back!

Perfect length with a 2 inch heel. No need for a bra. It is very tight on the upper rib cage and I am small in the bust and fit in that area.

This was my first RTR and I wanted something that would make me feel like a princess for this white tie event. I was obsessed with this dress from the first time I browsed for it. I am 5'6" and from the other reviews was a bit nervous about the length. I had 3" inch heels and it it was slightly long (there were a lot of people, so I ended up picking up the dress so it wouldn't drag), but I'd rather have that then too short. I would also recommend trying on the dress the day it arrives. When I tried it on initially, there was a hole in the sleeve. I was able to get in touch and a new one was overnighted - but it could have been a disaster. But overall, this dress was a HUGE hit - LOVE LOVE LOVE!

At 5'8" I definitely needed the long and it was the perfect length with my 3 inch heels. The best thing about this dress for me was the built-in corset bra! It really supports and kept "the girls" in place all night. The dress overall is very slenderizing and is great for an hourglass figure. The short train on the bottom really adds an elegant touch!

I loved this dress. It made feel sexy yet sophisticated. The affair was very formal but I didn’t feel constricted by my dress which is a hard balance. If you are above 5’5’’ 2R is comfortable but any shorter I would go with less length. I wore pretty high heels and it was just right at 5’7’’. Vintage gold accessories were the way to go for me!

After reading the reviews, I got the 14L as my backup size (I normally wear 10-12) and was glad I did. It was a bit long but fit beautifully and elegantly otherwise! It had significant give compared to how it may appear, which made it very comfortable. Highly recommended. However, there was definitely less gold lace on the 12L than on the 14L, probably due to how the 12L was fixed post-wear & tear. Either would have been beautiful, but I ended up glad that the dress ran small so I could wear the newer-looking version.

The fit was amazing! The 12r was a perfect fit. The fit showed all of my curves without being to clingy in the right places. The dress was a little on the shorter side but works for me since I'm short.

I wore this dress as a bridesmaid in a black tie wedding. The gold overlay is gorgeous and has a little stretch to it. It has a little train (just of the gold lace), which made it even more elegant. I did have to be careful walking and recommend holding the train up/down stairs because you can snag a heel in the lace. It has a built in small corset (just two latches) which really helped the shape of the dress (i felt that my waist was a little lost otherwise) and made me feel comfortable without a bra. I felt supported all day/night. My only issue with the dress was the length. I'm 5'8" and ordered the 8L--it just grazed my bare feet. I wore 2 inch heels nonetheless, I didn't think it looked too bad to see my shoes clearly but would have preferred it otherwise. The train helped give the illusion it was a little longer than it was. I wish I had a picture of the back- but the scoop back is lovely and the dress hugs one's backside just enough to make it a little sexier but not inappropriate. The detail of the gold lace overlay is even more striking in person! Its a gorgeous dress for special occasion!

So many compliments on this dress - especially great from the bride whose wedding I was officiating! It was honestly one of the classiest dresses I've worn. I am 6' tall and even with 3 inch heels, I was stepping on the back of it - the long size in this dress is super long! Loved the fit and cut. So flattering for a tall size 14 like me. And the detail!!! I was swooning all night.

Fit made the black slip stick out if not adjusted inside and outside and the bust was made for more fill but had quite a bit of padding. This was a very modest and elegant dress, many women complimented. Not quite the quality of material I was expecting but only the person wearing it would know. Thought about buying it!

This dress felt so perfect for the fancy formal wedding, I was worried it might be scratchy but it fit perfectly and was very comfortable!

I usually wear a 6 or 8 and in this case only 8 was available. It fit well, and needed no additional undergarments since the lining and built in bra are enough. I thought the style and coverage made it work for any age wearer. Ultimately I didn't wear this for my event but will remember it for future.

Pre-COVID I reliably wore a size 0P in all dresses, but with some COVID weight gain, I wasn't 100% sure what size gown I now wore (I went from 101 lbs to 116 lbs). With that in mind, I rented a 0 with a 2 as a backup. The 2 was only available in a long, which was unfortunate since I'm just a hair under 5 ft tall. As I thought might be the case, the 0 was too small in my hips (I am pear shaped) but fit everywhere else. The 2 fit wonderfully however, and was incredibly flattering! This is definitely a figure-hugging dress with no room to hide. The "long" was unsurprisingly way too long, which fixed by taping up the black underlayer. The gold lace overlayer was a bit long too (only by about an inch) but it didn't get in my way in the front and in the back just functioned like a train so I did not need to tape that part up (see the photo for how the "long" fit with no alterations to the gold overlayer part). I wore 4" heels in this size long, making me about 5'4", so I wonder whether even in the long fit this dress would be too short if you are really tall. This dress has a built-in bra which is nice since the back is somewhat low, but I ended up wearing a padded bra anyways because I'm only a 32A and I couldn't fill out the built-in bra otherwise. Overall, I absolutely loved this dress. I felt really glamorous and received compliments all night long. I highly recommend it!

This dress was my back-up option. It wasn't available in my normal size 8, so I went with a 10R. The 10R fit perfectly and was absolutely stunning. The dress was extremely comfortable with some give to it. I loved it.

I don't dress up often, but got so many compliments on this dress. It fit perfectly, though when I first put it on I felt it was a little short in front. By the end of the night I was glad it wasn't longer. The lace is gorgeous and adds stunning detail to this classic dress. I didn't need a bra because of the structure of the bodice, which was good because the back of my strapless was higher than the dress.

I wore this dress to a charity black-tie event and it was the perfect dress for me! It does run small - I originally had the 10L (my normal dress size is between an 8 and 10) which was really tight. I called and they didn't have the 12L, but they did have the 14L. First - the 10L was barely long enough wearing flats (I'm 5'7"). The 14L was a little loose, but overall, it fit better and I was comfortable and didn't need any shape wear. I was able to wear heels (about 3.75") and it was just the right length. The built in bra was fantastic. It is fitted through the hip, which was great for me. I loved the small train on it too, but I imagine some might find it irritating. I would definitely rent this dress again! Sorry about the blurry/dark pictures - no one there that night could figure out how to take a decent picture...

I rented this for my prom and so many people told me I looked like either a billionaire or a bond girl. It's so beautiful and flattering. I'll never regret renting this dress. It was the best decision I made for prom.

This dress was completely stunning. The original dress I selected wasn't available so RTR randomly selected this one and sent it to me. Considering this was my first rental, I was super mad at first. But, turns out they have awesome taste. The dress fit perfectly, hugged every curve, and was extraordinarily flattering (albeit a little hard to breathe...). I was overwhelmed with compliments and felt gorgeous the whole evening. It was pretty long, I'm 5'8" and never wear heels so I could have definitely gotten the 0R. The little train did get stepped on all evening. Also doesn't require a bra because it has bone in it and was really supportive. The metallic lace overlay was stunning. I've never worn a prettier dress.

I ordered this as my backup dress. I had wanted to wear the Carmen Marc Valvo Golden Leaf gown but the one I was sent was damaged. But this dress was equally lovely! The back is really gorgeous - I recommend an updo to show it off. It has a built-in bustier top but I also wore a strapless Spanx-like slip for extra support and smoothness. It fits true to size, but size up if you have a bigger bust because the bustier was tight. The lining showed a bit in the front but it wasn't that noticeable. Also, it runs pretty short - it only hit my ankles without shoes on so make sure you have a pedicure!

Perfect for a black tie event I want to try to blue version next time!

I usually wear a size 8, but the 8 was too small, but luckily I got a 10 also and it fit wonderfully. It was a regular length and that was maybe a little long but I wore flats. The built in bra is a nice feature.

A little itchy under the arms, but overall very comfortable. Does run short but overall very beautiful and would definitely recommend it

Ordered 6L because 6R wasn't available. It was too long for my 5'4" stature, but with my heels i was able to deal with it. Size 6 was perfect for me (135lbs) and if 8 was only available, that would have worked and maybe given me some extra room. The attached corset is amazing! I was complimented over and over and it was the perfect dress. well made, high quality!

I LOVED this dress! I wore it to a formal event with my company. It was very comfortable and made me feel great. There was a built in corset bra which was great (didn't need to wear a normal bra) and I chose not to wear the belt with it. The lower cut back is extremely flattering and I got complements all night. Would definitely recommend!!

I wore this to a formal affair, where I was in charge of ensuring the evening ran smoothly. I was looking for something elegant but not too flashy and this dress fit the bill perfectly. It was beautiful and so easy and comfortable to wear. It really was perfect. Please note this dress does run small. I NEVER wear a 10 (I usually wear a 6 or 8 ) and the 10 fit perfectly. Anything smaller would have been unbearable. Definitely worth renting!

This dress fit and looked exactly how I hoped it would. I had the hardest time sending it back because I loved it so much. I wish that I would have had a photo taken of the back of the dress because that was my favorite part. The dress is classy, elegant, sophisticated and conservatively sexy. I received numerous compliments throughout the evening, which made it incredibly difficult to take off at the end of the night. It was also incredibly comfortable. I am 5'2.5" so was worried that it would be too long for me (I don't tend to wear long dresses or skirts b/c they are typically too long) but with a 4" heel, the 6R length was almost perfect. I stepped on the bottom of the gown a couple of times while dancing so a slightly taller heel may be best for some.

I ordered this dress in a 2 with my backup size 0. I ended up wearing the backup size as I felt the 2 was a bit big on my waist and also, too long even with high heels. The dress didn't come in a "short" version but it was no problem even for me (I'm 5 feet tall) I'm also glad the 0 fit because it looked less "worn" than the 2, which had a few small tears in the lace. I got a million compliments at the ball and still to this day from people who saw the picture online on social media. I felt like a million bucks and highly recommend this dress..

The fit was snug, but absolutely perfect overall. The length was perfect for me, as well. I didn't wear heals and it sat right on top of the floor. The built in bustier was exactly what I needed in a dress! The open back gives it a sexy edge, while the black and gold give it an elegant look. Overall, I definitely recommend this dress. I really don't want to send it back, but I know I must. I can't wait to rent from RTR again!

I ordered a size 8 and 10 pretty much knowing the 10 would fit with my current weight. And it did, perfectly! I had a concern that the built in bra might not have enough support, but the support was there and o felt comfortable through out the night including on the dance floor.... I received many compliments and shared Rent the Runway with many women! I will definitely use your services again... Thank you!

I wore this dress to prom with a great gatsby theme, and I must say I felt amazing the whole night! The dress has a built in bra which made it so comfortable! End everybody kept asking me if it was itchy because it looked like it and it wasn't at all! Only problem I had was finding shoes to go but that's because I have a limited shoe closet! The fabric wasn't stretchy hardly at all, which I think someone else mentioned on here, but it wasn't a problem at all when siting or moving. I have nothing bad to say, rent the runway made 2015 prom amazing!!

This dress is a show-stopping stunner, and if you get it for your next formal affair, you will consequently be one, too! It has a built in bodice that provides great mid-section and chest support to give you a really nice hourglass shape. It's form-fitting through the hips and legs and flares out a little at the calf. As far as length goes, I'm 5'7" and ordered the long which was the perfect length when worn with some sassy 2-3" heels.

I usually wear a 10. I even went to Saks 5th Ave to try on this designer to make sure about fit/sizing. The 10L fit like a glove, however the built in bustier was cutting into my waist. A long night with dancing would've been painful. I wore the 12L. It fit wonderfully. Only a tad looser, bustier was comfortable & I could dance without problem. It is not a to the floor long dress. I still wore 4 inch platform heels. I liked the look as it also showed off the shoes that matched to perfection (got lucky on that one!). I will definitely rent a Theia gown again. I was complimented all night for the dress.

Built in bustier was great, very comfortable, no worries about dancing. The flow of this dress was very nice, a little shorter in front, but not a problem. Very elegant, classy and the back was an added plus to the overall beauty of the dress.

I got a size 2, I'm usually a size four but I have a very small bust so the 2 fit perfectly! Cons, I live across the street from Rent the Runway and everyone at my university goes there for the same occasions. Unfortunately, there was one other duplicate (but that just goes to show it's a popular dress). I think it's a great dress for slimmer body types, because it hugs the body and accentuates the wait.

I can't begin to explain how amazing this dress is. I received so many compliments and I felt great all night. I usually wear a 2 or 4 so I ordered it in size 4R. It was a little snug so I would say it runs small but it fit me well and I do not have one negative thing to say about it. The top is a corset style so it will be tight, keep that in mind when ordering sizes. There is a small train but nothing that would really get in the way. I ended up with this dress because a dress I originally ordered wouldn't ship in time and I am SO glad that happened. I chose this one because in all the photos of women wearing it before me, everyone single one of them looked amazing, Tall, skinny, curvy, short. ALL OF THEM. Can't thank Rent the Runway enough!!
