This is a classy dress! The cut is flattering, breathable (not super tight/form fitting) and the bustle in the back is tastefully done. It looks very basic on the hanger but once you put it on and add jewelry, it looks very formal and elegant. The color is more of a blood orange but very close to red. I also love how I could wear a regular bra - no taping, no strapless, backless contraptions needed! 

Wore this to a formal holiday dinner and loved this dress! Very forgiving fabric with a bit of stretch; perfect length for a mid heel (I'm 5'7"). I'm a rectangle body shape and this accentuated my waist nicely while leaving room for thigh and butt. Would definitely rent something similar again.

I received many compliments on this dress and all the little details were just right. I liked that it was modern feeling and the tomato-red color could work year-round. Very comfortable, although I don't know if someone with a large chest or hourglass figure would like the drape (I have more of an athletic build). The 2L was hemmed and possibly shorter than the 2R. This dress has a small train that dragged on the floor, but it wasn't noticeable or a problem walking. I liked that I could wear a regular bra, but ended up wearing stickies because I didn't want to pin the back strap down (someone else had done this and there was a small hole). The little zipper pull on the side was worn, but I noticed this on all three dresses I rented, so maybe not a big deal; this was my first Rent The Runway experience and I was very happy!

I loved this dress, especially the bow on the butt (which was very flattering!). I chose not to wear a bra so I wouldn't look too busty but I could've worn one with this dress! 

Modest, classy dress but has an awkward cut around the hips. Better suited for someone with curves. 

At 5'5", I was worried that the 2L would be too long, but it worked just fine with 3.5-4 inch heels. Fits nicely thought the bodice and waist, though the bow at the back makes it fall a little weird through the hip. Overall, highly recommend the dress.

I LOVED this dress! It's pretty rare that I do bold colors but this seemed like so much fun and so classic. I normally wear a size 6 which wasn't available, but the 8 actually seemed like a more comfortable fit for me because I don't like my clothes to be too tight. The only reason I didn't end up wearing this dress is because the particular one I received did a weird ripple thing at the side zipper which ultimately made one of my hips look strange. I don't know that anyone would've noticed it but I did and preferred to wear something that fit a bit better. If I'd had access to the 6 maybe the hips would've been tighter and it wouldn't have been an issue. Still think it's a fantastic dress though!

I rented this for a black tie wedding, however, something came up and I was not able to wear it. I will rent this again for sure for another wedding! 

The fit of this dress was beautiful and so flattering. The color is more of an orangey red than a true red. I paired it with black tassle earrings and black clutch. 

Fit like a glove. Wore it to dinner with friends and dressed it down with an all saints leather jacket. 

I wore this to my inlaw's 40th wedding anniversary party, which was like another wedding. The red is on the orangey-red side. The 10R fit perfectly, but the minute I pulled the zipper it tore. So I took the 12L to a tailor and she amazingly put in a temporary hem to make the 12L work. It cost an additional $34 due to the two layers (lining and outer layer) but it was well worth it to make the dress wearable. The cut is fitted under the bust but has give. The darts accentuate a small waist. The v neck is not too deep; the 12 did gape on me a little when I bent over and my bra peeked out a few times. The fabric is overall thicker with just enough stretch to make it comfy. The train was only an issue when I stepped backwards on the dance floor.  The bow above the bum added some shape to my very flat backside, so I appreciated that. I would definitely rent again or buy it. 
I took away a star due to the zipper breaking.

Love that this dress isn't too long and shows your cute shows - great for petite gals! Great fit and comfortable - incredible material that is forgiving and hugs in the just the right places. 

This dress felt great i was able to move and dance. Plus I was able to wear my regular bra! Highly recommend this dress. 

Overall I got a ton of compliments. It fit perfectly and the length was spot on. I'm only 5'1 and with 3 inch heals my toes were just peaking out. It was about 12 degrees that night and the dress is surprisingly warm.  The bow in the back is the best part! Only complaint is that the lining in the dress would get twisted when dancing. Had to go to the bathroom a few times to readjust. If I rent again I will pin the lining.

The bow detail on the back was the stunning part, but the fit overall was very flattering. There was a little room in the upper hip area on me but it wasn't bad. I felt confident and it was easy to move in. Bra strap showed a little in the back.

I wore this dress for my engagement photos!  The color really popped on camera... my photographer specifically recommended finding a bright tomato/orangey red dress, as that color just GLOWS on film.  This dress fit the bill perfectly.  I'd describe it as a vermillion/persimmon/tomato instead of a true red.  I am generally a 4 in dresses, but I wore the 2L; I am top heavy/inverted triangle shaped (36" 32DD bust, 27" waist, 36" hip) so I have issues finding a dress that fits all over.  This one worked well for me because of the stretch crepe fabric.  It was a little more revealing than I anticipated in the chest and had just a smidge too much room in the hip for me.  However, I really loved how it looked!  I am 5' 7.5", wearing 3" heels.  In the 2L, it was just a little too short (about 1.5" clearance from the ground), but it didn't bother me.  Did not love the bow on the butt, but I got over it because the rest of the dress turned out so well.

This dress was my backup and so glad it worked out that way!  I loved wearing this dress:  it was beautiful, sexy, classy, easy to walk and dance in, very flattering, and "warmer" than my first choice.  I wore it to an indoor, evening, black-tie optional wedding in the fall and it was perfect.  My husband especially liked the bow detail on the back.  It for sure accentuates an hourglass figure but never felt too tight anywhere.  The neckline was plunging which was my only concern, but Res-Q tape held it against my normal bra with no problems.  (You can wear a normal bra, just make it a low-cut one and be aware it may show in the back.)  The chest may have been on the roomy side but my 32C and 34B bras filled it out where it was just right with the tape.  I also pinned the hanger loops inside since they want to fall out of the sleeves.  The 0P was perfect for my 5'2" height and 3 inch heels so the hem hit me just on top of the foot to where my shoes were peaking out.  I never tried on the 2R but the 0P fit my petite, hourglass, athletic figure perfectly.  It has a slight stretch to it but never felt too fitted anywhere.  I would recommend for hourglass and broad-shouldered ladies.  

Absolutely loved this dress! I'm 130 and 5'3" and the 6P was great with tiny heels. Probably could have pulled off a size 4P but it wasn't available. Rented for a gala, The now in the back was the cherry on top! Material is soft and stretchy. I used a little body tape to keep the shoulders in place, helpful if you have shorter torso. Definitely recommend this dress!

The zipper on the 2R was stuck and never went all the way up when it was on but my 2L backup size worked just as well and I'm so happy I had that second size option!

Loved this dress.  The 2 was too small, and 6 a tad large, a 4 would have been perfect but wasn't available.  I wore the 6.  SOOOO PRETTY!  Many compliments.  Very comfortable.  

This dress is incredible. I loved wearing it, it is so comfortable - you can really break it down and dance, which I loved. I actually loved the length - being 5'3" dresses that are floor length usually drag, but this was perfect with 3" heels. I got a bazillion compliments and it photographed so well. I highly recommend! I wore shape wear with it and you couldn't see a thing! Bra isn't possible with the back being open, but you can tape them or wear sticky boobs, no problem. High recommend this dress!!! I would rent it again if I didn't take so many pictures!

I LOVED this dress! Initially, I was concerned that its straight styling would be tight in all the wrong places, but the fit was excellent.  In casual clothes (think LL Bean & Eddie Bauer), my size can be 8-10, but in the higher end designers, I can be a 10, 12, or 14, depending on how much they hate curvy women. While this dress is true to size, it was on the more generous side on me, I had room in the bust, but not so much to cause a noticeable gap; the tailoring on the waist made it look like I actually had a waist, without being at all tight; and, my ample, but somewhat drooping, rear never looked so good.  It gave me that effortless, "I-don't-have-to-try-to-be-sexy-I-just-am," look that is nearly impossible to pull off. It is a sophisticated, curve-friendly, extremely flattering look, appropriate for a formal affair - grown up without being matronly, sexy without being in-your-face. At about 5'5", the 12R hit the tops of my feet, barefoot , so I could wear a comfortable, low-heeled sandals - but it would have been fine if I wore something a bit higher. As much as I adored this dress, however, I took away one star for the issue that others have noted: the hanging slip/lining.  As you can see from my front view picture, the slip hangs about 2" below the hem of the dress. It could be, because there is, inexplicably, a long slit in the slip, when there's no slit in the dress. I decided against tucking the lining into the top of my undergarment, because that created a visible fabric fold, underneath, across my tummy. But, since the lining is the same bright red/orange as the dress, it could, maybe, be perceived as a hem detail, rather than a hanging slip, should anyone actually notice. Other than that, the dress was phenomenal! I wish I felt as effortlessly beautiful in everything I owned, as I did in this dress. I was sad to send it back and would happily rent again - although I would, maybe, put a temporary hem in the lining.

Rented this for a gala for the American Heart Association. I felt like a movie star. Did not want to return this one. 

I'm 5'2", 110lbs, 34C chest, fairly petite frame. The 2R was much too large, but my backup, the 0P fit very nicely. The shoulder and sleeve area was a bit big, but sleeves had convenient thread/snap hooks for keeping my bra straps in place and avoiding sleeves slipping off shoulders.

The length and cut of the 0P were lovely and flattering for a petite, yet curvy lady. My waist looked small and trim with no shapewear underneath! However, I found that most of my underwear, even thongs, showed through, so I went commando. The neckline was quite plunging and fashion tape was REQUIRED to keep the girls in check. 

Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that past reviewers had said this dress could be easily worn with a normal bra. I found that the back V-neck was too low, and my bra peeked through. had to secure it with tape to make sure it didn't show.

Overall, great dress. I got compliments all night and my fiancee LOVED it.

Absolutely true to size, I ordered the long and an 5'7" so I could only wear kitten heels for length - but otherwise was perfect for a NYE symphony paired with elbow length gloves and a fur

Because of the bunching in the back it had a little extra room in the front stomach area - fixed it by pulling down and taping. Also, if you want it to reach the floor get long! It's not designed to be floor length. 

Definitely go Spanx on this one. The dress was great, and I felt great in it, but the smoothing action was a game-changer. As a curvier gal with a full bust (34DDD), this shows off the curves great; however, keep in mind that there is a decent amount of cleavage being shown off if you're bustier. I wore this dress to a work function and it showed a bit more than I'd hoped. The material is great, very flattering. I felt awesome in it. 

Loved this dress!  Material has give but it slims at the same time. It's such a pretty neckline and a fun twist in the back. I have broader shoulders but this dress was still flattering in all the right areas and so comfortable to wear. Highly recommend 

I really liked this dress. I ended up not wearing it because it looked a little TOO sexy for an event for my husband's firm. The 8L fit me like a glove and was very flattering especially the detail over the rear end. It made my rather flat butt look like there was a nice curve. The color is a kind of tomato red. Very pretty. 

This dress fit amazing. Throw on a pair of spanks and it gives you the stretch in all the right places. The back is so neat as well. It was too short for a pair of heals, so 5'9 and up plan on flats! Would definitely recommend

I LOVED this dress. I would live in it if I could. I wore it for a formal dinner and it was the perfect dress. It hugs all the right places and was the perfect length to wear with a small heel. I would definitely rent again. 

I wore this dress to a wedding over 4th of July weekend. It is simple, but elegant. The back really makes the entire dress. Overall, it fit well. I am larger on the top and it was slightly tight, but not more than would be expected. I am about 5'6" and had no issues with the height while wearing heels. I did get some compliments and felt good in the dress. It looked great with gold accessories. I would recommend a necklace with it to really make the dress shine for a formal event. 

I was so happy that I ordered the backup size, as I ended up going with a smaller size than I had planned. The dress was amazing and fit like a glove, however I'm taller and would have liked it to be a bit longer. But it was so gorgeous it did not even matter to me at the end of the night!!!! 

This dress was PERFECT.  When I ordered the dress, I took a chance by not ordering a backup size, and I'm very happy I got lucky. The dress fit like a glove. I wore 3" heels with this dress and they were the perfect height. What made this dress even more perfect, is that it was extremely comfortable. Hands down my favorite dress. LOVED it.

I would suggest shape wear....but surprisingly comfortable.

It stands out in a subtle, classy way. I definitely needed shapewear for this dress, but it was well worth it. The back was especially stunning, and both the cut and color make it truly unique. I was concerned about the 10 fitting, as I'm typically between a 10 and 12, but it wound up working perfectly. The length was a bit short on my 5'9" frame, but I wore kitten heels and felt comfortable all night long. Love it!
