Wore this dress to my boyfriend's prom because purchasing a dress for his prom and my own would have been crazy pricey. Renting this dress was the best choice I could've made! I am not super tall (only 5'3) but the length was perfect with the three inch heels that I wore that day. It fit like a glove and the sort of sparkle that it has in the light made it look fantastic in photos! And if it wasn't already perfect enough, it was insanely comfortable as well. I would definitely recommend

The dress runs a bit big overall (I debated between the 2 and 4 in store before taking the 2 as a back up-I'm normally a 6), but as I am bottom heavy, the 2 ultimately stayed in the closet since I couldn't comfortably walk in it. It looked perfect up top, but of course, comfort won out. The size 4 that I wore was still gorgeous, although it did gape slightly in the breast area.  No one else seemed to notice however, and I got a ton of compliments the entire night + my boyfriend was floored! The material is a bit thicker than the photo suggests, and lets off a slight shine/luster that looks perfect during the setting sun. It was edgy and fun without being overdone, and overall I was extremely happy with my choice. Would definitely recommend!

I loved this dress! It fit like a glove, and true to size. It hugged my curves in all the right places. My only complaint was that it was a little short. I had ordered the long in hopes I could wear heels, but ended up having to wear flats. 



Loved this dress! I got so many compliments and still am getting compliments several weeks later. I wore about 5" heels with the 8L and it was a perfect length. The 10 fit, but was just too lose when standing. However, I did have to pull the 8 up a little bit in order to sit down, it wasn't too tight to dance in though. I am pear shaped and about 40" around the hips. The only negative is that if you have a larger bust, it is a tad bit "boobalicious" so I would recommend not wearing a push up bra as the girls will definitely be out to say hello. I am a 32DDD, but it was great without a push-up bra. The piping detailing wasn't quite as pronounced as I was expecting it to be, but still looked beautiful. Overall, it was a perfect dress for my evening, a great price for a formal event, and I would love to wear it again! 

The 4R was unavailable at the time (mind you, I waited until three days before my black tie event to place this order), so to cover my bases I ordered the 4L and 6R. Thank God I ordered the 6R!! I'm typically a 4R (maybe i'm not anymore :x) but I couldn't even get the 4 past my hips! Even the six was really holding me together. The top fit perfectly, no bra no petals no stickies. Amazing. The bottom gave me total movement, but my waist was locked in. I did have to lift the dress a bit when I got into the car, however I'd consider it a plus because it really held in my midsection. :D I paired it with some simple crystal jewelry and red lips and wow it just really pulled together. I'm absolutely ecstatic that it worked out the way it did. I would suggest to anyone that if you're feeling confident about your size pick one size up as your #2. This dress was great for me because I have a hard time being boring but didn't want to be too loud as it was a wedding. The material used for the dress with the black piping(?) and the side cut outs made it really special. I would add that the material was beginning to fray. Nothing TOO noticeable but I wouldn't want anyone to expect a pristine gown. 

@ 5'7 the 0L was perfect... no regrets with this gown it fit me like a glove. so incredible- I didn't want to send it back :( definitely my favorite rental ever

The 2L was not available due to cleaning/damage, so I wore the 4L. Customer Care was great and sent me another dress in a 2L, but this one definitely made more of a statement. The fit was great. I was able to wear spanks but couldn't wear a regular bra because of the front V -  wore stick ons and it worked great. I wore 2 inch heels and the length was perfect being 5'7. Loved the dress and will continue to RTR! 

Hi! I&#39;m wearing this dress (hopefully) for a formal event with my husband the weekend after Valentine&#39;s Day. I&#39;d like to make the evening memorable, and was wondering what kind of lingerie you thought would be good underneath the dress. I&#39;m sure the side cut outs make it a little tricky, but otherwise... Any suggestions? 

I read all the reviews and was worried about sizing. I usually wear a 2 and wore the 4R. It was a little loose in the hips but otherwise perfect. I wore 3" heels and the R length hit perfectly (I'm 5'5"). It shimmered so beautifully. I was able to eat and dance with no concerns at all. Expect to get compliments all night. The event staff even told me they all loved it and said I was best dressed!  The only downside was the shimmer material deemed to fray easily. It arrived with some loose threads and so I was careful to not snag anything, but if the fraying continues it could definitely detract from the beauty of the dress.  Overall I loved it and would recommend it! 

This dress runs small because there is no give to the fabric. There is room for a bigger bust but hips/but area is very fitted. I loved the dress silhouette, fabric and texture! The only negative is that it shows some wear. When looking closely I could see little fabric fibers coming out everywhere and the dress lining had small tears. Not a big deal but something to be aware of if ordering

I ordered a 2 and a 4 both Regular.    I hated both at first.   The cut outs on initial try were horrible.   I am quite thin and have a very flat tummy but there was no stopping the excess skin or bending rolls to start to hang over the edges.  I tried on the 4 and thought the hips were too large.    I could not wear a bra because it would show at the cut outs.    I was going to order something new but then the next day I gave it another shot and for some reason I liked it much better.    On event day,   it all just worked.  I ended up changing last minute to the 4 because I wanted to be more comfortable and everyone agreed it fit fine.   The material was very worm the shiny parts have hair like fibers that fray.  But it is flawless looking at a Black Tie Affair with elegant lighting.   I pinned a couple of pads inside to give me a bit more cleavage as my 32 DD's were lost in the 4! A long way to say,  give this a chance and you too will rock the cut outs.   

This dress is not made for hippy women. There is absolutely no stretch in the material! Go a size up to be safe. The shiny tint to it gave it a glamorous look that attracted a lot of attention. Cut outs made it sexy but very chic as well. Awesome look if your going for glamour. 

The dress is hard to get the wrinkles out. I had to steam it for almost 3 hours and it still had wrinkles (ran the shower) because the lady at the store here in Vegas had such an awful attitude when asked if she could steam it. Loved the dress, not a fan of the attitudes the ladies at this location have! Aside from that it was a beautiful dress. My date loved it. Fit me so good. I wore a very small thin bra under it, enough to give me some kind of cleavage. but victoria secrets push up bras will not work! I'm 5'5 and the length was perfect with 4 inch heels. Rent this dress you will NOT regret it!! 

Perfect fit for my body type, no cons whatsoever. Even better looking in person. 

I'm usually between a 0 and 2, and the size 2 was almost too snug. Size up. 

I felt like I was wearing the women's version of a tuxedo. Fit like a glove. Bra made my cleavage pop out so I chose to free-boob it and did not regret my decision. Perfect length. It's not as dark black as the photo on RTR. 

Hugs your curves in all the best ways. Cut outs on the side make it great for a more party/young black tie event. The material is shiny metallic almost. Can't really wear with a bra, but it fits well and the fabric is thick so you don't need one. Got TONS of compliments on it all night long. It was also super comfy and I was totally able to dance in it. 

The fit was surprisingly big for me. I ordered a 0 and 2 because I thought it would run small since the fabric has no give, but even the 0 was loose in the waist and hip area. It was still fitted and looked beautiful and was comfortable even though it's a lot of dress. The length was also too long! I was reading that the regular was too short if you wanted to wear heels, so I ordered long. It was dragging on the floor even with my five inch heels! I had to hold it up most of the night with one hand. All in all, this dress was awesome!

This dress fit me like a glove. It was so beautiful in person and the cut outs and low neck line gave it the perfect amount of sexy.  I wore it to a masquerade party and was going for a Cat Women look since my hubby wore a Batman mask. I received  tons of complements. Thank you again RTR!

I'm a 32DD with some curves and the dress fit great. I would say to get the stick on bra. Loved this dress I felt so beautiful in it. 

This dress was perfect, I received compliments all night! I was nervous because my back up size wasn't available, but I had ordered from RTR before and kind of knew my size.  I have a full bust with a narrow back, a small waist, and sizable but. I typically have to find "curvy' fit jeans and such because of these proportions (I wear a size 26 in jeans if that helps). So while I thought the top of the dress would work, I was nervous about the bottom.  Thankfully everything worked out and it fit like a glove. The long was a perfect length and I wore a 4 inch heel.  I could move around and dance no problem, sitting was kind of awkward, but I was mostly up and dancing so this didn't bother me. The sheen also sets its apart from being a typical black gown. Overall amazing dress; sexy and sophisticated!

I would say this dress runs true to size, but it was still a little too big on me. I ordered the 0R with the 2R as a back up. The 0R was loose in the chest and waist, but I took a chance renting a dress knowing most things are too big on me. The length was actually ok, but I was wearing 4 inch heels. With the heels on, there was still about 1-1.5" left on the ground. I would have enjoyed this dress more if I had more "assets" to fill out the chest area, even with chicken cutlets it was still pretty loose. Overall this gown is gorgeous. If you're very petite though, I would probably find a different dress that runs small, since you might have more luck with it fitting a little tighter. 

I rented this dress for my 30th Birthday/Halloween Party (Dressed as a Vampire).  It was perfect!!  I rented a 2R and 4R as most reviews said it ran a little small.  I'm kind of busty but small in the waist, so it fit up top perfectly but was a little loose in my hips/stomach area.  I had grandparents/coworkers at the party so I wore a bandeau to cover up the low cut of the top.  The length was perfect with some 3 inch high heels on.  Loved, loved, loved wearing it.  I felt like a princess-vampire all night - Can definitely see wearing this to a formal event as well like a fancy wedding or ball.  The material is gorgeous, and the bottom of the dress reminded me of a mermaid's tail.  Compliments all night, including one that referred to it as the perfect mix of sexy & classy, which is precisely what I was looking for and definitely what you'll get if you rent this dress. 

I rented this for a Halloween black and white masquerade ball and didn't stop getting compliments all night. It is form-fitting and very flattering. I was a little hesitant to wear something with cutouts but I felt more comfortable in it than I expected. The material is thick and high quality.  It is an absolutely stunning dress for  a formal/black tie affair and the right combination of class and dramatic. You'll feel like a movie star!

Stunning in person because of the sheen to the fabric - pics do not even do this dress justice!! I felt amazing in this dress and did not want to return it. Ordered the 2L, it fit like a glove and was just long enough that I had to skip heels and wore flats. I might even have to rent it again because I loved it that much!!!

Runs small and short.. If your over 5'5 I definitely recommend the long! Great material.. Little bit of stretch! Easy to dance in! 

I read other reviews that said to size up and I am happy I listened. I am usually a true size 4, and I am 5'7" so I ordered the 4L and 6L. The 4 fit like a glove but I could tell if I ate anything, I'd feel uncomfortable, so I went with the 6L the night of the wedding and could eat and dance comfortably! The long was also a great option, it was perfect for my height. Rent the Runway will definitely be my new go-to for special events, it was a great experience all-around! 

True to size. I have larger hips and no chest and it fit like a glove. Really showed off the curves on my body. I'm 5'4" and it was a little long so I had to wear my highest heals. 

Perfect gown for the evening...fits like a glove...more compliments than one gal can handle! I wore this to a Gala where the President spoke in D.C.  The 2 fit perfectly and I had a 0 for a backup but didn't need it. It is a bit long if your short like me...even with 5 inch heels on my heel still got stuck on the train of the gown. My favorite rental thus far! 

The 8 regular was about an inch or two too short.  I tried on the 6 long, but it was too tight, and that length was perfect.  The chest area was a bit loose, and the waist  (towards the bottom of the cutout) dug into my ribs when I sat down.

I wore a size 4 long. I'm 5'6" and wore 5" heels-the dress hit the floor perfectly. Also, this dress doesn't feel cheap like some of the other dresses I tried. It's a really nice, thick material. The cutouts are high enough to wear spanx power shorts. There was a little extra room in the chest (I only wear a 34B). Overall, this dress was perfect for the gala I attended!

I received so many compliments on this dress. The fit is great to so some skin but still be sophisticated. I have a petite frame but wide hips so it took a few tries sitting down at home to figure out how to sit comfortably but it worked out fine just pulling it up a bit. Length is perfect and it's so light! I didn't sweat at all on the dance floor with it on. 

This dress is a dream come true! It's sexy, edgy, classy and timeless all at the same time. The fabric is this stunning black with a shimmer to it with matte black piping through out. I am 5'2 with an athletic frame; 36A, 27" waist and 37" hips (because of Crossfit :) !) I felt like the dress came a little longer than I was expecting. I had to wear 5" wedges to have the dress be the perfect length. I ordered the 2R as a back up but ended up not even taking it out of the bag as the 0R fit perfectly. The bottom was very wrinkled and I had a hard time getting the wrinkles out. Luckily I live in TX where it's always humid and some of the wrinkles came out naturally after being outside. 
 I ended up not wearing a bra because I am A and I felt like it wasn't necessary as the fabric is thick and forgiving enough to get away with one. If you are larger chested there may be enough support to go without one as it is very fitted through the rib cage. 

I typically wear a size 4. But I have curvier hips and the 6 fit better on me. I wore 4 inch heels and still caught myself stepping on the train a couple times. 

Fit like a glove in the hip area. Evidence of being worn, some threads are loose and catch the light and itch a little if on the inside but otherwise not bad. I had to use fashion tape in the breast area because the straps were too long for me, and even with 5 inch heels I still stepped on the dress some. 6R would've fit perfectly if my booty was smaller. Rented for prom, was overall a success. Thick fabric, obviously expensive and good quality. Sexy dress.

I wasn't sure of my dress size before renting from here and googling typical dress sizing charts. Most things came up that I would be from a 6 to a 10, and the only size left in this dress at the time was an 8 so I went for it. I crossed my fingers and the dress fit perfectly! I was so excited, but the only thing I was worried about was the length. I could only choose an 8 Regular and it was exactly my length wearing flats. The front is slightly shorter so if I were to wear heels I would've needed a long for it to look right.  Many people said to go up in size if you are larger busted which is true! I'm glad I got an 8 because any smaller I would've been falling out of my dress. I was in LOVE LOVE LOVE with this dress and definitely recommend it.everyone was complimenting it and and it was a huge hit. I felt great too! I could go on and on but just get the dress.

This dress is absolutely beautiful! Pictures honestly don't do it justice as far as how shimmery it is in real life. I got so many compliments all night. Typically I wear a size 2, which wasn't available so I got a 4. Even the 4 was a bit tight in the shoulders and loose in the waist, but overall a very flattering dress. Would definitely rent again!!

I really liked this dress. It definitely grabs the attention because it is very unique. It is comfortable enough to dance, eat and drink a lot. So I would say go for it if you are dubious about this dress.
