I chose a size 10, it was snug but it ended up being perfect because it was snug enough to go braless which is a tall order:) embroidery was gorgeous and color is dramatic. Felt amazing in this dress and I feel it would look great on all body types

I got a 6, with 8 as a backup. I'm typically a 6 in dresses, but i have wider hips and this dress doesnt give much as far as stretch so an 8 was perfect. I recieved no less than 30 compliments at the reception, seriously its so flattering and PERFECT. I am a 34D and the 8 was a tad loose there because of it but hardly enough to notice it. I wore an invisible bra (sticky silicone bra cups) and it worked out great.

This dress is AMAZING. It fit my curves like a glove and was incredibly flattering. The blue was a beautifully bright and radiant color. I felt so great in this dress!!

I had the dress professionally steamed which really freshened it up. I am short waisted and flat chested,  so I wore a bustier.  Really comfortable & Had a great night.

Wore this dress to my office holiday party and loved it! The blue embroidery is so pretty and the mermaid shape was flattering even though I'm pretty short. 

So flattering and comfortable...I emded up pinning up the mermaid bottom portion of dress (short legs!) - and could not even tell! Translated great on stage w lighting!

This is my favorite RTR dress I've rented. Though snug, it was comfortable and I felt just fine dancing all night in it. I received so many compliments and was so happy with the dress and overall process. I would definitely recommend this dress! 

I received so many compliments on this dress. I'm a pretty standard size 6 and it was a touch snug so size up if you're between sizes. Overall, amazing dress and very pretty!

Absolutely stunning dress. Was very firm fitting but very flattering due to the kick flare at the bottom. Beautiful lace embroidery and nice color palate. Would highly recommend for wedding or other fancy affair!

Beautiful dress! Right around waist and a bit hard to zip up, but other than that I loved it! So different than anything I've worn before. Easy to dance in and comfortable. Super flattering!!!

Loved the pop of blue on this dress, it stood out in pictures and even in dim lighting at the evening gala I went to. The fit was also amazing (although I wish I would have ordered maybe one size larger as I barely got in.)


I definitely would've been a smidge more comfortable in a size up, but made the 6R work. I wore the dress to a Gala and felt it was the perfect mix of conservative with still being fun and allowing me to show my personality. I am bigger through the hips so it was definitely snug there, and feel I have a shorter torso therefore sometimes the strapping situation is a little long on me/ large hanging arm holes but this fit like a glove!

This dress was very hip. I felt appropriately dressed up for a formal wedding but still stood out in the crowd. My main complaint is that I didn't listen carefully enough to other reviewers and order up enough. I'm usually a 6 and ordered a 6 and 8. The 6 wouldn't zip and the 8 was still really really tight. I wish I'd ordered a 10.

I felt absolutely glamorous and the fit was perfect. i was surprised by how roomy and comfortable it was. My only concern was my undergarments. I ended up going without and it was a huge step forward for my body acceptance! I never go without a bra in public but I didn't even think about once I received numerous compliments! 

Dress fits on small size/snug but good once you get your bum past zipper. Think zipper isn't long enough but too beautiful and smooth feeling. Received many compliments. Not stretchy which is good because materials stay in good condition longer!

Its a little tight on the lower if you have a booty and thighs so keep this in mind if you plan to drop it low on the dancefloor. Overall a badass, unique statement-making dress. 

Great detail on the dress, however both dresses were quite worn from previous rentals. I'd say the dress runs a bit small. Normally a size 8 but rented both 8 and 10 after reading the reviews. I ended up going with the 10, as I could barely get the 8 up over my hips. 

This was my favorite Rent the Runway rental to date. Absolutely LOVE this dress and I am so sad to return it. The 4R fit perfectly! Got many compliments and would rent again in a heartbeat. 

This dress ROCKS. I keep trying to re-rent it and it's now always sold out because it's so great. The quality is amazing, the detailing is incredible and it's really comfortable. It doesn't have a lot of give around the waist because of the waist-band detailing but it didn't bother me much. It was definitely worth every penny.

This  dress is so beautiful!, especially loved the pop of blue!!  Compliments galore!

This was a gorgeous dress for a wedding! I usually wear a 2 or 4 but ordered up after reading reviews. The 6 fit perfect since I'm curvy. Very comfortable and got compliments all night. 

Loved how the blue popped over the black.  I didnt bother with a necklace because of the high neckline.  The black neckline created a great outline for the chest area without accentuating too much, especially for a church wedding.  I did end up sizing up to an 8 as the black dress material has no give (had to hike it up a bit to climb into my SUV), and the 6 barely made it over my hips.  The 6 would have worked, but I felt more comfortable in the 8.

This dress was one of a kind and so flattering. It  fit like a glove, simply loved it

I rented this for a bird themed gala and loved the black and electric blue. The details were fab and I barely needed any jewelry. I ended up not wearing a bra because the back was too low for a strapless one, but you couldn't tell. 

I rented this dress for my master's degree graduation, and wore it to all the events that week.  It looked beautiful both in person and in photos.  I wore both the 0R and 2R to different events because I am a size 1 and was between sizes.  It seemed to fit true to size.  I would definitely rent this dress!

The dress is a little snug in the hips, so I would go up one size. Once I sized up, it fit perfectly and was very flattering. I just wish I didn't have to give it back!

Got so many compliments wearing this dress to my friend's wedding. It's a lot of fun and a good mix of formal and trendy. The waistband felt a little tight for me because I have a pretty straight torso but overall it was very comfortable. Would recommend!

The fit was great for my body, it was a little tight across my bust but still was a good fit!

Runs small. 4 was too tight in the waist/hip area but fit good in the chest. 6 fit a little better in the waist/ hips but was so big up top. I ended up wearing the 6 and making it work. There is absolutely no give in the fabric. That being said the dress was a show stopper and looked great!

Fit amazingly, but ran a bit small. Very flattering cut and pattern. Only criticism: I'm a bit tall and the waist seam hit me at the bottom of my ribs instead of my waist so it was a bit uncomfortable from that standpoint but should work wonderfully on someone a bit shorter. 

I normally wear a size 4 in dresses but based on the reviews I ordered up for my backup. I am so glad I did. It fits on the small size. I was able to put on the 4 but felt so much better in the 6. The dress was beautiful and I received numerous compliments. I think it is a fan favorite due to some strings hanging but other than that it was perfect!!!

I'm very slender at 5'7 and 108 lbs with a 32 A/B bra size, and would say that I lack curves for the most part. I surprisingly had to slightly tug to get the 0 over my [small] butt so the bottom half was a bit snug, but the top fit pretty great. The bottom of the 2 felt better, but the top was clearly meant for a bigger chest so I ended up wearing the 0. I also found a pair of matching blue Sam Edelman heels that added the perfect touch. I received so many compliments at the wedding and definitely recommend this dress!

This is a gorgeous dress in person. I got so many compliments. Another wedding attendee told me she saw me at the bar and thought I was the best dressed at the 400+ black tie affair. Feels so good to hear that! I hover between a 6-8 because I have a small waist but my chest, hips, and thighs are larger. The 8 fit like a glove. It was a surprisingly comfortable dress for how snugly it fit. It didn't even get uncomfortable after tons of food and cake! To top it off, I had blue nail polish on hand that matched perfectly!

I was really excited about this dress because it is so unique, but ended up not loving it on me.  First, could NOT get the dress over my hips and had to pull it down over my head.  I'm normally a 2/4 and even the 6 would  not come up over my hips.  That said, I had plenty of room up top once it was on, so I would have definitely worn the 4 over the 6.  Length was right for me, I'm 5'7" and ordered the regular.  Just something about the fit was not super flattering, can't exactly put my finger on it. 

I rented this dress as a back up for a wedding I attended. Loved it! Keep in mind this fabric has little stretch. The color is absolutely stunning. The blue is very bright. The fit was snug and hugged my curves in the right places. 

This dress was a HIT! My husband wouldn't stop complimenting me, as well as many others! Wish I could keep it :)
I wore the 6. I'm usually a 4/6. The top was a little loose though. Wasn't able to wear a bra.

Dress was the perfect color for Bell blue, I will rent it again. Be prepared with a bra that drops down low in the back or it will show. A good fit for me but I'm small chested and really muscular.

Loved this dress! Was a little snug but felt amazing in it and got so many compliments.
