I received sooooo many compliments on this dress. It looked amazing in person and photographed well too. Would definitely rent again.

I haaaaaaate getting a size 18 but Marchesa runs so small and when I size up it is amazing. Gorgeous fabric. Such a good look 

The color, designs, and fit of this dress are incredible.

I ordered three dresses for a formal party I was attending. Unfortunately, this was third place. I was so excited for it and sure this was going to be the one. I waited and turned notifications on so I could be sure I got this one. The others were backups of whatever was available. But then my husband didn’t like this dress. He liked the other two much better. I still liked the fabric and the embroidery and didn’t want the rental to go to waste, so I threw on a denim shirt on top along with some loafers, and I wore it to drop my kids off at school. A little sad this wasn’t the dream gown I had envisioned, but I made the most of it, and my son’s teacher said it was pretty.

Ended up wearing a different dress for a wedding. Was cute though, may rent again a size larger in the future.

I’ve been using RtR for years and this is one of my favorite rentals! The color and designs are so beautiful and rich, perfect for an October wedding. And this dress very comfortable. The velvet was soft and gave room to move, and straps were adjustable. I’m usually a size 4 and found the M to be the most comfortable, but could fit in the S. 

Loved this dress! Very pretty but my normal size would not zipper, had to size up. Next size up fit perfectly. Only other complaint is the adjustable straps don’t stay, had to continuously re adjust. Other than that it’s perfect 

Pretty dress, would say it is a bit snug. Wore in my normal size but was pretty tight. 

Was worried about too much gapping for a 34AA bust, but the adjustable straps made it a non issue. Got many, many compliments. Dress is well made. Great for taller girls too (5'9"). Lowest point in the back hit a bit above the ankle/ low calf. Was fun to wear and twirl a bit in. I'm usually a size 6, occasionally a size 4, and the size 6 fit wonderfully, not too loose or tight. Would recommend. 

This dress fit me like a glove and is very flattering. A word of caution for my bustier friends: the straps had to get readjusted frequently throughout the night. My girls were itching to come out. I would recommend this dress for folks who have smaller chests. 

I really did love this dress. It’s gorgeous and flattering- thick enough for a smoothing effect but not hot. I wore it to an indoor/outdoor wedding during the Florida summer and felt pretty comfortable the entire time and received several compliments. 

Unfortunately I did have some issues. I ordered my usual size 10 and a 12 as back up. The 10 was a bit snug. It did not have built in bra padding and, I assume, a previous renter had cut off the ribbons which was disappointing. The 12 felt more comfortable size-wise. It did have bra padding but the pads were all wadded up and took a lot of effort to straighten out. One of the straps on the 12 broke as I was getting dressed for the event so I ended up having to wear the 10 anyway.

Overall I would still recommend this dress because it’s just that pretty, but maybe have a back up to the back up.

This dress is absolutely flawless. Beautiful material, easy to wear and OH so flattering. I’m curvy on the bottom and it hugged my curves in all the right ways. Wore it during a HOT summer wedding and while it was warm, I survived and would not change a thing bc this dress was so stunning. 

I ordered this as a backup to another dress I planned to wear just to see if I liked it better and the second I tried it on this was no longer the backup dress and became THE dress. I have an hourglass figure with wider hips so finding a form fitting dress that fits in all the right places and smooths everything out can be challenging- this dress checked ALL the boxes and more. It’s beautiful, high quality, stands out, and made me feel incredible. It’s form fitting in all the right spots while still being so comfortable. I received SO many compliments and debated running away in this dress just so I could live in it forever (just kidding… kind of).  Echoing what a previous review said that convinced me to rent this dress: if you’re thinking about renting it, stop thinking and do it! I was so sad having to send it back at the end of the rental!

Beautiful Teal velvet dress with embroidery used for summer wedding. If you have a bigger bust, size up. The detail hides the mid section. The only thing that I didn’t expect was the tight waist band, but the rest of the material had some give. So it wasn’t too uncomfortable to sit in. Easy to dance in. 

This dress felt every bit of luxurious as you’d think it would. It fit like a charm (maybe a tiny bit on the tight side BUT I think it had to be that way in order for it to fit so well, like I wouldn’t have it any other way.) The detail is spectacular. I wore it to an August wedding (velvet in summer is risky, I know!) but it cooled off at night quite a bit and so this was PERFECT. Easy to dance in too despite it being such a non-stretchy fabric. There is a slip underneath which helped too. Overall so obsessed, would rent again!

My friend who has used RTR recommended it to me, but I was nervous since the dress comes only a few days before the requested date (if you’re lucky). I was not about to spend hundreds of dollars on a dress I wear once then it sits in my closet until the end of time. I figured since these dresses are high quality pieces and if I know what style is right for my body type, it should be fine.
Let me tell you…this did NOT disappoint! If I could give this dress 900 stars I would. It is absolutely beautiful and I got so many compliments. I felt so confident and the dress was very comfortable, aside from the usual only complaint you’ll see in the reviews…the straps kept loosening and needed to be tightened. That was a minor inconvenience and the only negative I have about the dress and it doesn’t affect my overall review.
I wore this to a backyard barn wedding. I got size 8 and 10 and there wasn’t too much of a different between the sizes but since the dress isn’t stretchy at all, I went with the 10 so it was still comfortable on my hips/thighs when sitting.

This dress was perfect for my law school's masquerade Barrister's Ball. Very flattering, yet still comfortable and not constricting. The neckline is a little low, so that would be the only thing I would be careful about. Otherwise, LOVE!! 

The dress was beautiful and ran a little small. There was no give. I would normally wear a 4, but felt more comfortable in the 6. The straps kept loosening and falling off, so I had to keep tightening them- just enough to be annoying. The details on the dress were stunning. 

Fits wonderful - as mentioned by most, the straps did loosen, but not to a point of causing issue through the night. Felt amazing and lots of compliments on the dress.  It's beautiful!  

Perfect for a late spring/early summer wedding. I just brought a black pashmina for when it got chilly. 

Got so many compliments even though i felt a little overdressed for a barnyard wedding. The dress was surprisingly comfortable and fit my smaller frame nicely. I did not need to wear a bra with it. Such a gorgeous gown, I wish I could have worn it every day for the rest of my life. 

Beautiful fabric and embroidery. Top is lined and semi-supportive, so i got away with no bra - just pasties. My normal size is a 4 or 6, and the 6 fit perfect. No extra room at all though, so maybe runs just *barely* on the smaller side. 

I am between a 0 and a 2 for most styles, and unfortunately I was only able to rent a 0 which was a liiiittle too small up top. It was such a beautiful dress that I decided to wear it regardless, and I was able to be comfortable and dance the whole night anyway! Just had to pull up the top every so often because it was small. Got lots of compliments at a winter wedding, and it matched nicely with a black shawl for the outdoor portion of the event. Would probably rent a size 2 if I were to wear this again.

Super cute dress, hugged all of the right places. The zipper was a little tricky right at the accent ribbon, but other than that, it was perfect! 

She fit like a dream! Huge relief because I was only able to score one size (my usual size) for my sister’s wedding in San Miguel de Allende. It traveled remarkably well and was perfect for the setting. Not too hot during the day and kept me comfortable into the night, where it dropped into the low 50s. It is well-lined in the bodice with a great smoothing effect. The cups are lightly padded, but not enough for my A’s, so I ended up using extra inserts. The straps were determined to loosen to their full length, but I was able to adjust them fairly easily each time. This dress was a privilege to wear. I was flooded with compliments and got to be comfy the whole time. 

First off, runs small, size up if you've got hips. I'm a 10/12, wore the 12, it was tight. 10 wasn't even close to fitting. Fabric is gorgeous, the cut creates curves and looks really stunning. BF said it's his favorite dressy thing I've worn ever. Perfect for fall/winter events! Also, approved for tall ladies, I'm 6 ft and it fit well. 
Issues: the lining is tighter than the velvet on the hips. I pulled the lining up and tucked it because there was no chance of me being comfortable and not ripping it. 2nd: the strap broke when I put the dress on for the night...I sewed it back together, but like, come on. I should not have to sew an $800 dress back together. 

The dress was a little snug in my hips but it still fit perfectly! I got so many compliments all night! 

I am so in love with this dress! It is even more beautiful in person. The details, the cut, the fabric, the movement, the print, the feel- I could go on forever. This is maybe my favorite rental ever. My husband loved it and I got tons of compliments from other guests. Only con- straps frequently had to be readjusted. Things to keep in mind- this dress showed more cleavage than I was prepared for and I felt a little uncomfortable initially. Also ran a bit small, i sized up to an 8.

Beautiful, comfortable, giving but form fitting, classy yet sexy neckline. I didn’t need to wear a bra and the fabric had enough coverage where I didn’t need to wear spanx. Plenty of compliments. I danced and sat comfortably! 

This dress is gorgeous, a little edgy and unlike anything anyone else was wearing, so I received a ton of compliments throughout the night. It was the first day of fall in Colorado, so I was worried the velvet might be too heavy, but it ended feeling comfortable. It hugged me in all the right places and I wish I had somewhere else to wear it.

I’ve tried to rent this dress two other times (Covid related issues) but man, this dress was so worth the wait. I absolutely adored this dress. Hugged every curve just right and wasn’t restricting in any way. The straps kept loosening as I danced and needed to be tightened a few times, but other than that - she’s perfect!

Comfy, supportive, and sexy - loved this dress

I got tons of compliments. This dress fit me beautifully. The dress fit across the top very well and you can wear a strapless bra. Hugs curves and hides any tummy issues. I had been dying to get this dress to rent but it was never available. It was finally available in the summer, and I took a chance. The dress is heavy and would not work at an outdoor summer wedding. I was at a very air conditioned hotel wedding and it worked perfectly and I wasn’t hot at all even when dancing. Love love love this dress. This is probably my favorite dress ever rented. 

Loved the fit of this dress, my only recommendation would be to use a pin or something to secure the straps. The fabric is slippery. Received a ton of compliments and it was very comfortable! 

I usually wear 0P but I’ve been between sizes lately. It’s been super helpful to find reviews from similar body types. I ordered 0R and took advantage of the free 2nd size for 2R and ended up fitting well into the 0R. R is pretty long so I paired it with the tallest heels that I have. Felt confident without a bra. I had to keep adjusting the shoulder straps since they would slide down frequently, especially with dancing. Overall, loved it and I’m quite happy with the rental!

I loved wearing this dress! Most important for me - it was comfortable. With the exception of having to tighten the straps throughout the night, I didn't need to fuss with it at all. People of all ages came up to me throughout the night to comment on the dress. Side note: as a member of the IBTC, I still wore a strapless bra underneath even though the dress has some built in padding.
