I wore this for my Derby party and loved it! The weather was a bit colder than originally planned, so the thicker fabric was perfect. Plus the color and shine of the dress were lovely! The party was in my honor, so it felt good to stand out in this dress. Plus - pockets! I got so many compliments and used it as a way to tell others about RTR :) Plus, this was a back-up dress since my original choice was too small. RTR was great and helped me get this alternate option in time for the party :)

This fit perfectly- didn't even need to try on the size 6 because the size 4 fit like a glove! I'm usually a size 4 and this runs true to size. It wasn't too short either, and being 6'0 I worry about that. It hit mid-thigh. I have a small bust, and it fit well and allowed me to wear a regular bra. The material was nice, not too thick or thin. Would be good year-round. This was my first rental and I'd definitely rent again!

This was my first ever rent the runway. I was very excited to receive this dress. I ordered a 4 and a 6. The 4 was unavailable so I wore the 6. It was a little big in the waist but snug in the bust. Probably would not have worn the 4. This is such a classic fit and shape. Plus the pop of color was perfect for our engagement pictures. I love how structured the dress was. It didn't wrinkle during our 3 hours of shooting. I received so many compliments on this. Plus pockets!! Great dress. 

This dress was perfect for my company Christmas party. Beautiful color and fit. I got many compliments. I also rented the necklace which was the perfect accessory. 

This dress runs small. I would have preferred a size 10 but it was not available so I ordered the 8. This dress was actually my back up dress. I ended up wearing the dress because my 1st choice was way too short for a work event. On me this dress was very tight in the bust and I could not wear a bra. It would not zip up with a bra. Other than that the dress fit well. I am tall and the length was perfect. I felt amazing and received so many compliments. 

I had rented it for a dinner/party but ended up not wearing it because it thought it was a little too much. It's more appropriate for a summer wedding or something 

Wore this dress as a bridesmaid at a Kate Spade themed bridal shower. I have a 36DD chest but besides a little tightness in the ribs and back zipper, it still fit pretty well. Color is beautiful and bright and it has pockets and tabs for your bra straps. Material is more formal than a typically shower dress, but it worked out well with the theme!

First, the color made the dress. Second, the fabric, although kind of warm, is extremely flattering to any woman's body.  Third, how can anyone not love a dress with pockets!?!?
I'm 5'2", weigh 135 lbs and wear a 34D. The dress did run small (I'm normally a 6 or 8, and the 8 was tight), especially in the bust, and I ended up going bra-less, but the fabric is thick enough that is was fine (and I never EVER go bra-less). 
I absolutely loved this dress, but I would recommend ordering the larger of the size you normally wear and getting the size up for your alternate. 

This dress is stunning. I rented for a formal wedding over Fourth of July weekend. The material is structured which works well for the hourglass figure. Material may be a tad heavy for the summer, but it wouldn't dissuade me from renting again, as long as you're in the AC! I rented an 8 with 10 as the backup - the 10 was too large up top with a big gap at the arms, so I went with a snug fit on the 8. The dress is a great choice if you have a fuller chest (I'm actually bigger than a 34 D) and a distinct waist. It was great to enjoy the evening without worrying about sucking it in all night! A perfect first experience with RTR! 

This dress was AWESOME.  I got so many compliments!  It was a little big and I probably could have worn an 8 but there wasn't a smaller size available to send, I think so I only had the one choice.  It looks short on the model in the photo but I'm 5'4" and it came all the way down to my knees.  Overall it was a great experience and I would 100% recommend renting this dress!

The color on this dress is just a gorgeous shade of pink. I found the fit to be a little tight in the chest but true to size everywhere else. I sized up bc of the chest and I thought it still looked great. The pockets are a great addition. The flare around the stomach was a perfect cover for post baby belly. I also could wear a normal bra. It really was just a classic and timeless dress and I got compliments all the night long. The bride at the wedding said "love love love" and I agree.

This dress was beautiful. I loved the cut, the fit and the color. So fun to twirl and loved the pockets 

I ordered a 2 and a 4 and ended up wearing the 2 so it would hug my waist and figure better, since it's not tight around my hips which is usually my problem area. It fit so nicely and flattered all the right places. It runs pretty tight in the bust, but without a bra it fit perfectly. The color is much more pink and bright compared to the stock photo of the dress. The pockets were an added bonus! I got endless compliments the entire night. 

Was fitted at the top and flared at the true waist. Was a perfect fit being 4 months pregnant!

Material is heavier than it looks, but has a great shape (especially in skirt). Chest was snug, but not uncomfortably so, you could probably get away with not wearing a bra, but straps definitely won't show with the cut. The color is more pink than it appears in RTR photos, where it looks like a cherry red. The higher waist and flared skirt are very forgiving for hips and thighs, perfect for an hourglass shape. I did notice that the fabric seems to pill pretty easily around the hem and pockets, even are only about 6 hours of wearing. Would definitely rent this dress again for a party, wedding or date night! 

Great dress and color. Modest and beautiful. Wore this to a September wedding that was outdoors. I love Kate spade anything.m and this dress was great. So many compliments and I danced the night away in this dress.

I loved this dress. I'm short so it hit below the knee which I thought was awkward at first but actually really liked the way the dress looked and felt throughout the evening. I have wide ribs so I needed to go up a size but the fit generally felt true to size. Great dress. Really loved it. 

This dress is adorable and I got a ton of compliments! I typically wear a size 8 clothing, and needed the 10 in this. The top was a bit tight, and the 10 was more comfortable. Very flattering dress for a pear-shape! It was nice and structured; the pleat in the front stayed put all day...hardly wrinkled, and didn't need to steam when it arrived. Could be worn in warmer months too.

I loved this dress, it looked more red in the photo but it is very hot pink. However, I think I loved the pink even more. The full skirt was really flattering, and the pockets made the dress appear really fun! I wish I could wear it over and over!

I couldn't figure out the color of this dress. In some pictures it was hot pink, in some it looked a shiny red. It is definitely pink in person, so not sure why it looks red on RTR. However, the dress was beautiful, comfortable, easy to dance in, and I received many compliments! Would definitely rent again, but not for a red dress as that it what I was expecting! 

The fit was true to size. A little snug in the bust I'm a 36 C, didn't have to wear a bra. Hugged my waist, it looked great and the pockets were clutch. I wore to a great Gatsby New Year's Eve party. Would definitely use RTR again. It was my first experience using the service and it was absolutely perfect from beginning to end!!


The color is definitely more hot pink than the model image shows but I loved it! The dress definitely fits tight around the chest area compared to the waist and hips. I sized down to the 4 because it  was more flattering to my waist, but it was a bit snug around even my smaller chest; luckily the dress has "bra" built in, so I went without one for the night. Loved the added touch of the pockets and the length was perfect above my knees. Definitely recommend this dress!

I wore this dress to my tea party bridal shower. It was the perfect fit and I got lots of compliments. The dress does a good job of hiding problem areas, but watch your angles when taking pictures. Some side views made me look so unshapely. This was my second time using RTR and I would use it again and again. 

I wore this dress twice over the weekend to 2 different events. The first event I wore the size 0. The hem was undone and we had to pin it. It also was a little tight along the chest. The size 2  seemed to have more pizzaz and ran a little big, but still looked really nice. The color of the dress is stunning. I only didn't like how poofy the bottom of the dress was. I did get a lot of compliments and it looks great with my gold shimmery heels.

The fit was a little tight in the ribs but fit true to size. The color was amazing and the fit was a lot of fun. Incredibly comfortable and had pockets which was a plus! You'll get compliments all night long! 

I loved the look of this dress. I had ordered the 4 & 6. Probably should have gotten the 6 & 8 in hindsight, but the 8 may have been too big. I am large chested so sometimes it is tough to find the right fit on both top and bottom. Regardless, it was a beautiful dress and easy to accessorize. 

The fit ran small, I suggest sizing up. I typically wear a 2 or 4 and went with the 8. I would have been fine is a 6, but the extra room gave me space to be more comfy and to dance. This dress is pink, not red. Good length. I wore this to my high school reunion and got a TON of complements. Great fabric. Was my first RTR and I will do it again =) 

I had a baby 8 weeks before I wore this dress. When you wear size Med/Large maternity yoga pants every day it's pretty hard to identify what your best dress size would be. I went with this one because I wear Kate Spade dresses and know that the style works on me. The neckline was high, and felt modest for a breastfeeding woman who suddenly finds herself with more cleavage than she's used to, and the flared skirt covered those postpartum hips and belly well. Thank you Rent The Runway and Kate Spade!! 

I had so much fun in this dress and received so many compliments. No fuss, and easy to dance in!

The dress fit like a glove, it was perfect for my boyfriend's company christmas party. I will say it may be tight across the chest for a more busty lady. Love this dress! 

I love wearing dresses that follow the style of the 50's/60's era for company holiday parties, because they're fun and festive but conservative. I wore this one to my husband's holiday party and got a lot of sweet compliments from people I hadn't met before! When I tried on the dress upon its arrival, I was initially a little skeptical. I thought to myself: "If I were trying this on in the store, it would probably go back on the rack." At first, the skirt felt a little too full for my comfort, and the top did no favors for me, because it made me look more broad than I am. The dress looked a little faded and worn, especially around the zipper, but that's to be expected. With regard to fit, the 6 felt tight through the ribcage, but the 8 looked very boxy and loose on me up top and in the small of my back, which made my bottom look larger. The six didn't look as tight as it felt through the ribcage, because the dress is made of a very nice material, which thankfully relaxed a bit as the evening progressed. It also didn't show perspiration. For reference, I have narrow torso, compared to my hips, so, while I'm normally an 8 bottom, I normally wear a size 6 dress - unless it's very form-fitting through the thigh. For a dress like this, I'd typically wear a 6. The recommended necklace definitely helped to soften the boxy top. Additionally, getting my hair done and putting on my makeup really brought the dress to life. My favorite thing about Rent the Runway is that it challenges me to step outside my comfort zone. I can be as trendy as I want, because I don't have to make a long-term commitment. Plus, it arrives a day or two before the event, so it motivates me to wear the rental so I don't have to deal with the last-minute scramble to find something, which practically never works out! I look forward to renting my third dress in February!

The dress was tight in the bust area, and overall very fitted. If you are between an 8/10 I suggest going up to the 10. 

I got tons of compliments on this dress! The color is gorgeous--really more of a bright fuchsia than it looks like in photos. I usually wear a 0 or 2, and the 0 was perfect. Other reviewers commented that the dress runs small in the bust. I'm a B, and it was a tad roomy. I'm 5'2" and was worried that the dress would be too long. But it hit right at my knee for a very 1950s length. The pockets were great. Overall, just what I hoped for.

Awesome dress for a wedding. Easy to use. A little tight in the chest and I'm probably average (34C) - so if you have a D or larger I would size up for your second option. More conservative style, so good for a family wedding.  

I rented this dress for the rehearsal dinner of my good friend's October wedding in NYC.  I loved everything about it -- the fit was perfect and I felt like it hugged my body in all of the right places.  The material was durable but not heavy, and the color was fantastic.  It even had pockets!  I'll definitely rent it again.

I wore this dress to a wedding in the wine country. It was such a fun dress, the color was so vibrant.  Like other reviews, the top was pretty snug.  I opted for the smaller size and went braless.  The larger size was more comfortable but the seam down the center of the dress was kind of wonky and I couldn't get it ironed down flat.  In the smaller size the seam was more taught across the chest.  

My only complaint is that the dress was not pressed evenly.  I spent a lot of time with the iron working to get the front pleats symmetrical so if you are on a tight timeline, iron it in advance!!
