The size four was a bit large on me. The arms were a bit long and the waist was roomy. I should've ordered a two.  But, the colors are beautiful and perfect for a Fall photo shoot. 

From the moment I discovered RTR, I had been obsessed with this dress. But, where to wear it? Would it live up to my hype? Yes. This dress is amazing. I literally gave it a quick kiss before sending it back. I felt absolutely beautiful, and it fit like a dream. I am fairly tall (5'9), so I am usually nervous about length and I had no issues here. I will warn that it is warm. We were outside in the afternoon on a fall day, and I definitely did not need a jacket, and even, was starting to get hot toward the end of the photo session. I plan to rent again, it's the best!

The dress does run a little big as many reviews note. I generally wear an 8 and the 6 fit well with even a tiny bit of room. Very comfortable dress with deep pocket! I could carry my phone and you could't see it. I was worried I would get hot, but the only time I was warm was after a lot of dancing. Perfect for a fall wedding. Would love to own it!!

This dress was incredibly comfortable and so flattering! I wore it for a party and received tons of compliments! I loved the neoprene material and pockets, and the fact that it's comfortable enough to wear all night. It's unique enough that it's fun, but it's also conservative enough to be work for something work-related. It runs large, so definitely size down. I normally wear a 6, and the 4 fit perfectly. I highly recommend this dress!

Basically, every person that came up to me at the wedding (strangers, family and friends alike) were complimenting the dress. Some were so obsessed, they asked if they could check the tag so they could know the designer. Definitely the perfect pick for a wedding in the English countryside! So comfortable, so stylish, and best of all... POCKETS. :)

I tried this dress on as soon as it arrived as I was worried from reading other reviews that it might be too large. Well, I am in love with this dress! It fit perfectly, probably because I have a larger bust (36F). I agree with other reviewers that the sleeves are long, but thankfully (and my favorite part), it has pockets. It fit beautifully around my waist, so there was room to move around and sit comfortably. The shape is very flattering, and I personally love the fabric; it gives it an expensive look and feel. I wish I could buy this dress, I absolutely LOVE it!

I loved this dress probably too much; I was really sad to send it back. I typically wear an 8 in dresses but this one fit absolutely perfect. It's insanely comfortable and perfect for cooler weather. I'm a huge fan and I'm sad I can't keep it forever. Definitely going to try to rent again.  #highlyrecommend 

This dress was absolutely perfect for a black-tie optional wedding on a Saturday night. Even though it was cocktail length, the sleeves and high neck made it more formal. The fabric has stretch and the dress runs large - I wear a size 12/14 depending on the bust situation, and this 10 fit perfectly, it wasn't even skin tight. I suggest sizing one or two down, especially if you have a petite bust/waist. I am larger in those areas and the 10 was still the right size. Super comfortable but still made an impact - I got compliments all night!

This is one of the most comfortable dresses I've ever worn.  The neoprene material keeps the dress from wrinkling.  The colors and pattern are so vibrant in person and the material shows very few flaws.  You would think it would be hot, but I was fine.  Unless it's sweltering heat, I would say go for it.  I'm 5'8" and it was the perfect length for dancing with heels without worrying about inching up.  Conservative with a tiny bit of edge.  Would rent again in a heartbeat.  Warning- This dress has the tendency to make you look pregnant in certain camera angles, but you would expect that from any dress of this shape.  

Was stopped and asked where I got my dress at least half  a dozen times. Runs large - I typically wear a size 8 or 10 and the 6 was perfect.  Another RTR success.

I love this dress! The fabric was super comfortable and warm. The print was gorgeous--so many compliments all night. The overall length was a little long on me, but I'm extra short. It was really flattering and fit over my bust no problem. Plus--it has pockets! If I could buy this dress, I would. 

This dress definitely runs large, as others have noted. I typically wear an 8 and the 6 fit perfectly. it's a little longer than I would've liked, definitely a conservative feel overall. it was very cute though, and I wore it to my birthday dinner. aI got quite a few compliments! definitely want to dress it up with fun jewelry and heels! 

This dress is amazing! I really thought about not sending it back! This dress runs very large. I am a usual size 8/10 with a full bust and the size 6 had plenty of room. In comparison I rented the Erin Fetherston Polly dress and the size 10 was tight and very small. This dress is breathable because of the neoprene. It's fitted at the top and bust, but not too much to be uncomfortable. The waist was not fitted but still gave a great silhouette. The pockets were an added plus! I got more compliments than I could count all night! Wore with black tights and black booties. LOVE this dress!!!

Ok, this dress is perfect. Cut really well, totally warm, and best of all... It had POCKETS. I loved it. I got so many compliments! I can't wait to rent it again, it was so fun to wear!

I love love love this dress. I wore it to a snowy outdoor January wedding with black fleece tights and it did not disappoint. As per other reviews, it does run large- I am typically anywhere from a 2-6 in dresses, and I took a gamble with the 0 (only size available). Although it fit snugly, it was not even remotely too tight. Did get a little warm on the dance floor later on in the night, but I expected that. Wish I could own this dress- I received compliments all night! 

...and finally found it! I wore this to a December wedding in Chinatown, NYC. It was perfect for the season, because the neoprene material is rather thick and on the warm side. The print was just perfect for the occasion, a Chinese wedding. I love that this dress is different from anything else I have in my closet. My fiancé was not a fan of the collar/neckline, but I really liked that I didn't feel self-conscious or exposed anywhere. And certainly no worries as we made our way through the seven course dinner- (as is often the case for me) the waist was quite loose and kind of hung off my body. The hemline was also a little long. I would still love to own this dress, and would have it taken in to fit properly. Overall though I was very pleased with the look.

This dress fit me like a glove.  I had a winter wedding on New Year's Eve in the mid west and I was struggling to find something that I would be both warm and beautiful.  I am also 3 months pregnant so nothing that I had in my closet was going to fit quite right.  I loved the fabric, it was extremely comfortable.  The print was absolutely stunning.  If I have any more winter functions this will be top on my list to rent again.

I absolutely loved this dress!  I wore it for a cool outdoor wedding and I was so glad for the long sleeves and thick  polyester material, it was quite warm.
Upon reading the reviews I expected the dress to run large, and it did. I ordered a size 0 and it was not as form fitting around the waist as I would have liked.  I typically wear a size 2.
The pattern and cut of this dress were just beautiful and very unique!

Loved the dress so much that I bought it after renting. It is neoprene, so best worn when it is cold outside, the colors are vibrant and pair well with black or a pop of color.  The dress did run large though, I am a true 0 or XS in most brands and the 0 was large, I had to belt it and ended up having the one I purchased taken in so it would fit correctly.  As you can see, the dress fell to my knees and I am 5'0 tall. 

Super comfy dress.  Perfect for fall/winter due to the heavy scuba material. Definitely recommend! 

The dress runs a little large and is made out of a pretty thick scuba-like fabric. Best worn for a late fall or winter wedding. I accessorized it with a pair of platformed gold sandals and a vintage bag embroidered with flowers. 

Wanted this for Thanksgiving but it was not available so got for Christmas and this is a great fall/ winter dress.   Fit was true to size and it was comfortable and warm!

I absolutely loved this style! It ran on the larger side so I would be sure to size down. The dress it made of neoprene so it has a ton of stretch, is super comfortable but also very thick - definitely a style to save for the fall and winter. The dark, floral print is gorgeous and an excellent way to carry your love of floral print from fall to winter. I can't wait to rent this for an event once the weather cools down!

I wore this dress to my organization's Alice in Wonderland themed fundraiser in March. It ended up being a little warmer than I would have liked, but I sort of anticipated that based on the dress' material. I got so many compliments that night. The dress is just so unlike any other! I finished the look with a sparkly necklace, red lips, and black suede pumps, and felt radiant and playful! 

I rented this dress for a day when I was going straight from work to the Kennedy Center for a performance.  I was looking for something that could transition from work to an event, and the look of this dress was perfect.  It was very comfortable with its heavier, scuba-style fabric, and I appreciated having sleeves both in my air-conditioned office and in the theater.  Also, there wasn't a single wrinkle at the end of the day!

As for size, I am usually a 12 or 14 depending on the cut/style/designer.  I ordered a 12, and I wish I would have gotten a 10 (and I can't even remember the last time I wore a 10 in anything).  It ran large in the chest/torso where the top meets the skirt.  Even though it was quite large, it was still flattering - I'm probably the only one who noticed how large it felt because the fabric draped so nicely.  

I don't think a size down would have helped this, but the arms were huge, especially at the bottom.  I could have fit a second arm in the sleeve from the elbow down.  I wish they would have been fitted as shown on the model, but not a deal-breaker.  The arms had been altered with a basting stitch to make them shorter, so I didn't have the length issue that others have mentioned.

I had a short necklace to wear with the dress but didn't end up wearing it because the collar obstructed it and it looked pinched.  If you're thinking of wearing a necklace, I think a longer necklace (as others have styled it) works best.

I rented three dresses for my husband's ceremonies for his airforce graduation (three different events over three days). I thought this would be my least favorite but it was actually the one I loved the most! I hated to send it back and even looked into buying it online! The fabric is thick so it is great for winter. The dress was super comfortable and I felt completely at home in it. I received SO many compliments and felt great! 

The fit was great!  The dress is very well made & looks impeccable on!

The material was surprisingly thick so I would recommend for early Spring/late Autumn/Winter events - temps above 70 and you might start to sweat.  But the dress was extremely comfortable and it had a lot of give.  I am usually between a size 6-8 depending on store/designer and the 6 fit perfectly. I absolutely loved this dress - it was so unique amongst what everyone else was wearing.

I rented this dress for a coworker's wedding and I'm still getting compliments one week later. I typically wear a size 6 but the dress runs really large so a 4 was fine. Definitely size down for your backup if you're in between sizes. I was a little put off by the thickness of the fabric at first and thought I would be too warm, but it turned out to be perfect. I wore this for the 1pm ceremony all through the evening reception-- a total of 10 hours  in a dress without dying to take it off and put on sweats, not bad! 

My only regret is I didn't get great photos of me wearing it. 

Instead of going for sparkly, I thought I would go for long sleeve chic with this dress - and loved it. I had so many compliments throughout the night and it was so.comfortable. It ran true to size, but I could see how the upper arms might be uncomfortable for dancing and such if you have a bigger bust (I don't so it worked very well). Loved this.

I used this dress for Easter. I usually wear between 6-8 and for European designers 8-10. This dress definitely runs large as other reviewers mentioned, so a 6 was just right for me. The sleeves are definitely long but I just tucked the ends under and it stayed in due to the thicker fabric. This year's Easter was colder than usual so the thick fabric was just right. I wore the dress with black tights and black platform shoes. Rent The Runway is such a great company. This was a dress that they comped for me because the last rental before this did not work out (one of the sizes was unavailable so they sent me another style which did not suit me, unfortunately). I am now back looking for my next dress for the next event I am going to!


Obsessed! Recently I am more of an 8/10, but I wanted this so badly that I ordered it in a size 6, as it was all that was available. I had read reviews from customers stating that it ran a bit big, so I was hopeful, and the size 6  ended up being a perfect fit! This dress is neoprene, so it is very comfortable, and I paired it with a necklace,  belt, black booties, and tights.  Definitely go one size down in this one from your most typical size. Wish I could have kept this dress! 

I'm glad I read the reviews because the dress does run large. I usually wear a 2 but it was really big on me. I had a little extra room in the 0 but it wasn't noticeable and was very comfortable. The material is thick and kept me warm on a breezy spring day. I would definitely rent this dress again it was perfect for a bridal shower. 

I wore this to a business trade show. The long sleeves were great for the cold weather and the pattern is fun yet professional, overall a great dress.

I love this dress. It's very pretty, yet comfy, perfect for a winter evening. Best part it doesn't wrinkle.  True to size. Be prepared for many compliments!

At first I wasn't into to this dress but once I did my hair and makeup and put my shoes on it grew on me. I would say the size 2 was slightly big. I am a 34DD and I needed a padded bra to fill it out all the way. I got a 4 as my back up when I should have gotten a 0. I ended up seeing the 2 and it was really comfy and warm. I would recommended if your looking for a warmer conservative dress! 

Runs slightly big and the material is forgiving.

I typically wear a size 4 in dresses, but a 4 would have been way too big and this 2 fit just right with even a little bit of comfy room in it!  I loved the scuba fabric which kept me nice and warm on the cold new years evening! And I had no idea until I tried it on that it had pockets!! Such a great detail.
