This was my backup dress...I originally ordered in the pink, but when I saw the blue I fell in love! Wore a size 0...I usually wear a 2 in Elizabeth and James, but sucked it in for the evening!
Comfortable dress, thick material. Wore pasties, no bra. Highly recommend anything from Elizabeth and James. 

This dress fit perfectly and was so flattering! This was actually my back up dress but I preferred it so much more than my primary dress! Would definitely order this dress again, I was sad to sent it back!

Love the fit, it is very tight though, so you have to feel comfortable with all your curves! I thought the color was so awesome. A unique dress but also quite simple--love it!

this dress was perfect. it fit perfectly. the material is well made, so it really holds you in and makes you feel skinny. I love the color. Others said the dress ran small, but I went with my normal size and I think a size up would've been too big. 

Loved this dress! I typically have s hard time finding a “grown up” dress because I have to shop in the juniors section but this one fit like a glove and was so comfortable. It does run a little snug though. The length was great too. The color was a beautiful blue that looked great in pictures.

Color is more turquoise than pale blue. Pleasant surprise. E and James have such great cut and the dress is super flattering. Now I wish I would have bought it.. 

Overall this dress was a really good choice for my senior homecoming dance. Although it was tight, it was still very easy to dance and move around in, I didn't feel restricted. The material was fairly thick, but I would still recommend wearing a strapless bra as I did. I usually wear a size 4 or 6 in dresses, but I read the reviews saying that it ran small and got an 8. This was definitely the right move, it fit perfectly. I am curvy on the bottom and fairly flat on top, and I was surprised at how well this dress fit my body shape. It is usually hard to find tight dresses that fit both my top and bottom well. I LOVED the color (it made me look tan) and my boyfriend couldn't stop telling me how much he loved the dress. He even said he would buy it for me he loved it that much! The one thing that I was unhappy with was that the dress would ride up on my waist and create unflattering folds in the fabric so I had to keep pulling it down for pictures. But overall great experience with the dress, I would rent it again! 

I absolutely loved this dress. Felt beautiful and got a lot of compliments. I've always gotten a size 6 in this designer because it runs a little small/tight. The dress came in a little bit darker blue than the picture on the site but regardless it was gorgeous. Will rent again if the right event comes along. 

I didn't end up wearing this dress because it fell at an awkward length near my knees, but overall this dress was amazing! The material and shape of the neckline are perfect!! The color is absolutely gorgeous! If I were taller I would have definitely worn this dress! 

The fit was true to size. The material was stretchy, which I liked a lot!  It was a bit tight around my belly. I couldn't get into my dress feet first, but I safely did since the material was stretchy enough. The color was wonderful and paired with nude heels. I wished I had a size 2 to compare, but this made me appreciate the stretchy material because it was still comfortable to wear!  I received a lot of compliments on the dress. I loved the back and front design of it :)

I wore this dress out during a Bachelorette Party weekend in Charleston, SC over Labor Day Weekend. I loved the asymmetrical hem and high neck. It's super tight so shows everything across the middle but I felt great and it was easy to dance in.

It is definitely form fitting, I wore spanx and didn't regret it. I also have a bubble butt so it tended to bunch up there (as you can see in the picture) and I had to pull it down now and then. I was worried about the length but it is really not too long at all for someone my height. 

This dress is true to size, but very fitted! I should have gotten a size 8 as back up to try for size. Otherwise, beautiful!

I rented this dress super last minute for a wedding. I read a bunch of reviews recommending to size up. However, I was in a pinch, the size 2 wasn't available and I'm petite so I figured I could squeeze into it. The dress zipped, but it was way tighter than I wanted it to be. The good news was the fabric was heavier than expected which helps hide tummy flab. However, I would definitely recommend ordering a bigger second size for free. I would still recommend renting this dress -- fun style and color.

Awesome dress! I got many compliments and felt great in it! I originally ordered a size 6 as my main size but when that couldn't ship, I still received the size 8 and it fit great! So I would have to say the dress does run small because my size 8 was tight. 

I usually wear a size 0 or 2 in dresses and the 2 was pretty tight on me. I could have probably gone with a 4 to be a little more comfortable.

The fabric was stretchy and comfortable to dance in. I found myself having to pull the dress down a little bit, but that's likely because it was a size too small. 

The blue is a great color and the cut makes it a unique dress for a wedding or any event! I'd rent this dress again. 

This dress was perfect for a summer wedding. The style is tight so I recommend sizing up. My additional size wasn't available so I made the smaller one work. And got lots of compliments. Great dress! 

I wore this to a wedding in June and the style and fit was perfect. The dress was true to size, wasn't too short (which is a concern at my height) and was made of good quality. 

I'm a huge fan of Elizabeth and James dresses and this one did not disappoint. The color is even more beautiful in person than it is in pictures. Perfect for a spring/summer wedding. Elizabeth James always runs small so definitely get a size up as a back up or as your actual size.

Fit was perfect, I'm 5'3" & 116.5 lbs, with a fairly athletic build. I wore a size 4 & it fit like a glove! Ordering, delivery & return was easy! I cannot wait until another event to Rent the Runway again!

Definitely runs kinda small which is great if you're small and usually have trouble finding dresses that aren't just hanging off you. The neck was a little tight but I was able to dance all night! Loved it! My dress did show a little wear, but still looked good and I felt great in it. Pair with a statement necklace for sure! 

I loved the bright color of the dress. The length was long enough that I could comfortably dance the night away. The dress was definitely very form fitting, but the material was thick and I wore Spanx under it. 

I loved the neckline since it cut in closer than normal dresses. It was a little longer on me since I am only 5 feet tall.

The dress fit perfectly and looked a lot more chic than I was expecting. The top of the dress, while covers you up more than a strapless dress would, felt a little too scandalous for church, so I did wear a jacket over it. 

This dress was fun and sexy! It's tight and definitely takes some confidence but so worth it! I've never felt sexier! Love those Olsen twins! Runs true to size. 

I've rented from RTR almost a dozen times and WOW this is a favorite. The color is correct in the model's photo and is very fun, funky, and bright. The fabric is thicker and holds in your body well. I'm generally a small 0 but opted for a size 2, so this dress runs tight. I could have worn the 0 but it was tight on my upper chest by the cut outs (I'm 34C and wore a sticky/adhesive bra). You absolutely need to rent one size up but probably no need for 2 sizes up. The dress was easy to dance in, formal while being tight and sexy. Received lots of compliments - I highly recommend!

I adore Elizabeth & James dresses. This is an older dress than I've rented before (I've rented similar styles by E&J). It was flattering and comfortable as usual for the brand but the fabric wasn't AS nice as the newer dresses by E&J. This dress doesn't have as much stretch as the other dresses from E&J usually do. Had I spent $70 on the rental I would have been disappointed but I think this dress was priced fairly. In most brands I wear a 0 or 2 but I always wear a 4 in E&J dresses (seriously- this brand runs so small so if you're wondering what size to get don't get your usual size!) I wish RTR had more from this brand though!

I rented this for a November wedding in Savannah. Loved the color, loved the style but I usually wear an 8, and even this 10 was a bit snug. Loved it though!

The dress was absolutely wonderful to wear! Perfect length and the stretch made dancing very easy.  The cut of the dress was very flattering and I am very pleased with this purchase!

Elizabeth and James ALWAYS runs small!  Size up 

I loved wearing this. The dress is gorgeous and different from all the black dresses. It does run VERY small. I am normally a 4 and I wore the 6, but probably would've fit better in an 8 (which was unavailable). The dress did ride up a little bit and had to be adjusted every time I stood up, but this was probably because the dress was snug on me. Overall, I would rent again, but in two sizes up from my normal size!

 I usually wear a size 4 or 6, but RTR only had a size 4. It was definitely tight and I think a 6 would have fit better. The size 4 rode up on me when I walked, but the dress was so beautiful I didn't care. Very comfortable material!!!!

I was trying to get this in a size 6 but only the 4 was available. I can see why it's such a popular dress. I loved the color and it was easy to dance in. As you can see in the picture the 4 was a bit snug but overall no complaints, just wish I could have worn the 6.

I wore this for a rehearsal dinner in Nantucket and it was a perfect summer color for the occasion. The dress was a little tighter than I usually like but overall was a nice cut. The second free size wasn't available for me to try. I would recommend getting the extra size! The bottom of the dress kept riding up as I walked and the dress at the bottom was a little bunchier than pictured. I probably wouldn't rent it again but it overall looked nice for the occasion.
