Elizabeth & James runs SUPER SMALL!  gorgeous color and love the cutouts!  Paired with RTR DVF hand bag for a night out in NYC

This dress runs small, as I normally wear size 4. It was super tight in rib cage area and chest. The cutouts made it worse (felt like a sausage). Length too short. I don't think I could safely bend over. Returned with clear conscience. Good bye dress, onto the next one! 

I ordered 0 and 2 for back up. I worn 2!! Normally I ware 00, 0P but for this dress 0 is too small. I'm 5'5 22A and 100 lbs.

Elizabeth and james use the original sizing so you have to take 2 sizes up if you're used to recent US sizing. Good quality dress. 

I received SO many compliments on this so decided to hang onto it and wear it more than intended. I'll definitely be re-renting again! The dress is a wonderful lilac and the cut outs were flattering and perfect. The dress does run small so be sure to size up so that you don't feel too squeezed in. 

I'm 5'1 and 110 lbs it's a little snug on the chest area but still comfortable 

Fits great and is a breathable dress. Very easy to move around in.

I'm pretty small up top, but it hugged perfectly. The material doesn't really have stretch, so keep that in mind but it's a great color. I'd wear this in a bunch of different colors. 

I'm usually closer to a 2 but this 4 felt great - wore it to a 12 hour wedding and barely noticed I had a dress on. Highly recommend.

Dang this dress is small as all get out in the rib cage and the "hoop" (for lack of a better term) is pretty wide. It doesn't lay down by your thighs, so I kinda of felt like I was wearing a princess dress. 

I needed a lavender dress for a multi-generational photo shoot. This fit the bill, but it was a little shorter than I would have liked for the occasion. It fit me very well-i could not have gone down a size nor up a size-and it was, for the most part, comfortable. The cut outs were a fun way to add something more to the dress

This color is perfect for spring/summer and the cut of this dress is everything! It's a skater dress with a twist. DEFINITELY snug, so if you have a big bust, order a size up. True 0 for small-chested ladies. 

Wore this dress for a spring sweet 16 and it was perfect for the occasion! I usually wear a size 0 but the dress was a little small so I wore my backup size, a 2. The waist was still a little tight and the sleeves were tight so I could not raise my arms very much. I would definitely rent this dress again but probably in a bigger size. 

This I would say is true to size. I usually wear a 4 -6 and I orginallu ordered the 4 it ended up being to small so I sized up a size. So much fun to spin in! 

Fit was a little tight. Sleeves are snug on your arms so size up if you have larger arms as I do. 
Side cut are so cut - until you sit! Be ok with some rolls hanging out if you have that haha 
I wore the dress without a bra. The material is thick and I didn't think I didn't a bra. Love this dress!! 

I loved everything about this dress! The color, the cut, the material... It was a tad short but this was not a problem for me. I highly recommend this to anyone! 

Does run small- I'm usually 4, wore a 6. I'm 5'3" and the length was perfect, although could be a bit short on the taller gals. Gorgeous color, great dress! 

Really cute dress!  Got a ton of compliments.  It was a little fitted on the chest area so didn't need to wear a bra.  Kind of short in the back.

I loved this dress! I wore it for a Sunday afternoon engagement party in Long Island and received tons of compliments. The color and cut were perfect for the event, and the cutouts added a fun element to the dress. I ended up wearing the larger size even though the 4 fit better, as the zipper was a bit stiff on the size 4 dress. If I had help zipping the dress, I would've worn the 4 - you can see in the picture the 6 is a bit tight in the bust and arms. Despite that, I absolutely loved the dress and would rent again!

This dress was great - fit true to size and was perfect for a friend's wedding - where my parents were also in attendance. The color and cut are fun - it's pretty short, but still tasteful - and the side cut outs are subtle enough that you barely notice them. I paired it with an RTR necklace and really loved the whole outfit! 

Great fabric, nice and breezy and the color was very classic. The silhouette was on point and very different from the rest of the wedding guests- a stand out for sure!

I loved the color and fit of this dress. The fit and flare was super cute too. Material is really thick and forgiving. It is a short dress but other than that super cute!

Definitely ran small, so I wore the larger size. I read that it ran small, so I'm glad I ordered up! The 4 fit perfect (typically a 0 or a 2 with dresses). 

Fit was a little small. I'm normally around a 6 but wore an 8. The dress fit beautifully though and was great for a wedding. Just a warning, I went to a summer wedding and it was pretty hot out. So if you sweat like me, you might sweat through the dress. Overall, incredibly happy with the decision.

This was a gorgeous dress I wore for a college organization banquet. It was a little loose in bust for me (32A), but I didn't mind. I definitely had a push up bra I could've worn if I needed to fill the dress out more. The length was just right for me at 5' 4". It was great color, fit, and silhouette for our spring banquet held at a country club. After my sister saw pictures she called to ask if she could borrow it and was very upset rent when I said I rented! 

I didn't end up wearing this as it was too snug through the torso in an 8 (my sides pooched out through the cutouts) and it arrived stained. I think a 10 would've been fine. This is the first dress I've ever been unable to zip up on my own due to the sleeves constraining my movement. Lovely lilac color and super thick material, wouldn't bother with a bra. Flared skirt fit my hips comfortably. 

This dress was great! I really liked the fit and the cut-outs on the side, although you could see some of my love handles coming out (covers eyes). The color was beautiful for the party and I paired it with a choker and my favorite BCBG shoes. Would definitely recommend this style for a summer party as it was very flowy given the shape. The only feedback to the RTR team would be to double check the dress I received as it probably could use only one more wear and then would need to retire as it had small fuzzies in the front. 

I rented this for a bridal shower. The review all said to rent a size up. I had actually rented this as a back up for another event in an 8 and it was stingy and too short so I tried a 10 this time and it was perfect. The fabric is stretchy and thick enough that I didn't have to wear a bra. Will definitely rent again!

This dress is definitely true to size. I found the zipper a little hard to zip up but I got help with that. The material is definitely super thick, and great rich material. You can tell its not cheap, and I didn't wear bicycle shorts under. I read in reviews that if you have a chest it might be too tight but I did not find that an issue. The only issue I had was that were was a small stain (but I immediately contacted RTR and got reimbursed) and that it was slightly large by the cut offs.

Gorgeous dress. Thick material. Tons of compliments. It's quite short, but was fine for me since I'm not terribly tall. 


It flares out quite a bit but that's due to my 43' hips. It was comfortable all night at a friend's wedding! I loved it and felt great it in--others loved it too!

I wore this dress to a friend's wedding. It's cute and sassy, but really tight. It runs small, especially across the bust. Also a little short in the back! 

A great  fun & flirty dress for a summer wedding! The dress is a pop of color & fit really well. Overall, the dress is comfortable and well made. Lots of compliments on the dress and really fun to dance and twirl in throughout the night! 

Really nice dress.  I got a little sweaty dancing and it showed unfortunately.  Cut outs were nice but size one up for sure.  I'm usually a 6 and the 8 fit well/snug. 

This dress was super cute! It was made out of a really thick, nice quality material. Was easily  worn with a bra and supported my 32DDD bust. 


I loved this dress, the color is beautiful and brighter in person. The material is awesome and fits you like a glove. The only con is that the dress is a little small, so definitely size up! 

This dress & brand definitely run small so always order a size up, I loved the color of this dress! And it was super comfy, I would recommend to anyone looking for something fun for spring. 

This dress twirls like a dream. It was a perfect length. The cut-outs are in a good spot so you can still wear a regular bra. I did think it ran small. Anyway, great dress and got a bunch of compliments!
