The #1 reason I joined Rent the Runway, was to be able to add color to my classic wardrobe, and this was a definite splash of color. Derek Lam is an amazing designer, and this dress was so fun to wear.  I wore it to a charity luncheon with heals as shown in the picture, and got so many compliments! I'm 5'11, so the dress hit right above the knees, and the arm length was long as pictured on the model.  It was not clingy but the way it's cut gave it a feminine touch.  I'll be renting this one again!!

This dress is gorgeous. It's a weird fit and runs slightly small, but it's super cute anyhow. Great dress for work.

The color of this dress is so pretty in person. However the cut of the sleeves and the placement of the eye and button are a bit strange or simply not flattering on me. I typically wear a 40 in European sizes and am a 2 and occasionally a 4 for American sizes. This dress clung to my bootie. If in doubt get a size bigger. If I had a bigger size perhaps I would've liked more...tough to say. But I LOVE my RTR unlimited package to try new dresses like this just because!

I was not a fan of this dress. It was not flattering in any way. 

Tight in the sleeves, hem was pulled out. Had been dry cleaned too many times. 

Comfortable but easy wrinkles when you sit down

This dress is beautiful, the fabric is comfortable, and my co-workers loved it. It's work appropriate and perfect for Fall. The only negative thing I would say about it is you may have to steam it upon arrival because the fabric does wrinkle a bit. I usually wear a 6 but got a 4 in this dress since the reviews said it tended to run large. The 4 fit perfectly! 

The waist is too big, so dress doesn't show your figure.  I'm athletic, naturally pear shaped.  Dress is good on the hips, big on the waist.

Gorgeous color, eye hole location was ok. fit as expected - flowy, not fitted.

This is a lovely dress and the color is exceptional in person. Unfortunately I was unable to wear it as it was too tight across my chest/shoulders so it didn't drape appropriately. Would be perfect for someone with slender shoulders. 

Gorgeous color, fabric, and lots of special details on the neckline and sleeves. However... this dress is cut very straight and if you have an hourglass figure, you might want to size up. I got my normal size and it was too tight on my hips and rear, so much so that it ruined the silhouette and I couldn't wear it. So sad. 

I love the splash of color and comfortable fit.  It's a shift, but not frumpy!  

Ran large... could have easily gone down a size.  Very nice drape & nice weight to material.  Pretty color.

I liked this dress but should have sized down.  It's a perfect length for daytime, the fabric is substantial but not too heavy.  It runs big and is cut very generously.  Definitely size down if you're on the fence, it's very forgiving.  

I ordered this dress twice--the size 10 equivalent was too large, the next size down seemed quite a bit smaller but worked.  Loved the style and color!

I love the color!  That's what initially attracted me to it.  I'm always nervous about dressed with sleeves when I can't try them on first (I have very broad shoulders) but it fit perfectly in the chest area.  The shift shape was also a plus; except, I have wide hips and it was a little snug in that area.  I wore spanx, though, and that helped tremendously.  I'd definitely rent this again.

The color was nice, but the keyhole was very low cut and made it hard finding a bra that would work without showing.  I wore it to work, so might be fine for a different setting, or perhaps some fashion tape to keep things in place.  Boxy fit, so I recommend sizing down for backup.

Fit was nice. Only thing being the neck seam rubbed a bit. Lovely fabric. 

I selected this piece to wear for a presentation that i was giving this morning, but ended up going with something else. I am new to RTR and still getting accustomed to sizing. I rely heavily on size charts and reviews (with photos). The dress fit, however, awkwardly. The sleeves were super long and came down past my hands. It was tight on my chest, then just sort of draped along my mid section but was tight along my rear and lower abdomen. Loved the color and fabric, but wasn't for me. 

Fabric is a bit heavy, so w/ the size running a bit large, I felt frumpy. Also, it was a little too long for me. Possibly should have considered size down or petite if available. Not bad design, just a poor fit on my frame.

The sleeves are very long, which make it a little awkward. It also starts to choke you by the end of the way, particularly when you are sitting down and the dress pulls at your neck.

I almost didn't wear this dress because it fit so awkwardly. I'm a pear and this dress fit very loose and large on top and hung strangely. However I hated to waste a rental so I wore it anyway and I got compliments all day. It is a beautiful color. I don't think I different size would have fixed the way it fits. 

Cute dress but is very long.  I am 5'4" and was down almost past my knees.  Fit is good though - loose but doesn't drown you

I was so happy with the color but I could not close the back.  I am a size 4 usually and if I sized up I think it would have fit and I may never have returned it!  Really wish it fit since it was gorgeous.  

It was okay, the color was pretty but not good with my skin tone. 

The color of the dress looks more apricot in person and the cut is very beautiful but the sleeves are very long I usually wear a six but I should've worn the four so I did not end up wearing it.

I couldn't wear it unfortunately, it is very big in particular on the sleeves. Not for a petite girl.

The color was beautiful but the sleeves are too long and wide.  They are not functional and looked awkward. 


This is a slim fit shift. I am usually a 4 in this style but it was definitely too tight. Perhaps a 6 would have been better. Beautiful dress! 

Was really looking forward to wearing this but the cut is so weird that it is impossible. 

Great color, but entirely TOO BIG! Length was down past my knees, I'm 5'4, sleeves past my hands and could have fit another person in the dress with me. Got for a family photo, but did not wear due to its tent-like size.
