I rented this dress for a fancy dinner out in February in NYC for my boyfriend's birthday.  It was a great stretchy material so the XS fit my curvier hips just fine and was perfect for my smaller top half.  I could wear a skin toned strapless bra and not worry about it being able to really show even if it popped up a little under the cut out area.  It was a nice length so not too short as some of the XS dresses can be on me if they creep up, and it was nice and warm for a colder night out.  

I really liked this dress. Apologies for the less than ideal picture. I don't like my arms, so I like the long sleeves, and the lace cut out makes it look less conservative. The thick material makes it super forgiving. 

Highly recommend overall. I think it ran ever so slightly big, so if you are getting a back up size go down.

The fit was great! I rented the medium and large and ended up wearing the large. The medium was just a little too snug, but the large was perfect! The material is very forgiving and so incredibly comfortable! I will definitely rent this one again! 

I wore this dress for a new years party in Chicago where it was subzero temperatures so I wanted something with sleeves. The material was like neoprene and hid a lot of things I didn't want to show off! It was really comfortable and the laser cut details were really interesting. The length was perfect for a taller person. Got a lot of compliments. Loved it!

The material is very thick. I got a little warm in it, but overall it was a great dress. The length was perfect. It appears to be pretty short on the model, but I am 5'5" and it fell just above my knees giving it a more elegant look. I would definitely rent this dress again!

This was my first experience with Rent the Runway and I absolutely loved every minute of it!  Seeing pictures and reading reviews helped me make my decision for the perfect dress for my friend's wedding.  I loved having the option of 2 sizes as I rented this around the holiday time and wasn't sure which would fit.  I received so many compliments while wearing this dress and had a hard time returning it.  I'd love to add it to my closet collection some day! 


Sleeves were a little long, but I rolled them up and it worked perfectly. I was probably in between a M and S, but the M was great for a work atmosphere. The material is very thick, so definitely better when it's cold out!

I worn this for a charity concert and it was perfect!  Lots of compliments!!!  The only "negative" is that it's pretty tight so the band of my hose showed a little.  I'd recommend thigh highs instead of control top hose. It's neoprene.  Just an awesome dress.  

Fit perfectly, really warm, thick material, great for the winter. 

Wore this for my holiday party .. The medium was the only size available and thankfully it fit perfectly.   It is tight but hugs in all the right places. I did wear spanx tights with it. Both men and women couldn't get enough of the dress. It was a smashing hit. Thank you RTR. I will certainly rent this dress again. 

Would you have ordered up or was the S ok? 

The dress is the perfect mix of classy and sexy. The neoprene material is very thick and great to keep you warm in the cooler months. The fabric is very tight. It will show any curves you may have. I am quite small up top. The dress does flatten your chest quite a bit. While you can wear the dress without a bra I chose not to because it made me look completely flat from the side. Overall I loved this dress and will rent again!

I received so many compliments. The dress was very flattering and forgiving. The material is on the thick side but I didn't mind it at all. I felt it was the right balance of sexy and presentable. 

Very nice material, especially for the colder months. Hugs you in the right places! Would rent again.
 

I wore this dress for an anniversary date night with my husband. The neoprene fabric was so unique and very comfortable - I received several compliments throughout the evening. I thought the Small fit ok but, at the last minute I opted to go with the Medium (my backup) because we were going to a multi-course dinner (hey, I wanted to eat!). The sleeves were a little big but, not oddly so. I wore Spanx underneath for a little extra warmth on a chilly Fall evening. I loved this dress and really enjoyed wearing it. My husband liked it so much he wanted me to keep it!

I rented a Medium and it was slightly large for me. Didn't realize that the neoprene fabric is like a spanx. The arms were long on me, but I folded it under and it wasn't noticeable. Also, the dress itself bunched up at the top and I had to pull it down whenever I stood up. For reference, I'm 5'2", 120 lbs. 

I actually really loved this dress, but it is skin tight and even with the scuba style fabric, it took me a little while to feel comfortable in it. But it had a lot of give, and is very comfortable. Didn't ride up and the cut outs were my favorite part.

I wore this dress to celebrate NYE in New York City! The neoprene material is warm and the dress fit very comfortably--perfect for a winter event. I loved the cutout pattern on the chest and sleeves. The one downside of this dress is that it does not emphasize curves very well. The medium size fit snugly around my shoulders and bust but was looser around the waist than I would have liked. I would rent this dress again.

Ran a little larger than I expected - I usually wear a small and ordered a medium to be safe. The small was a little big everywhere except the arms. It wasn't as tight on the bottom hem as it should have been, so it poked out to make a little duck-tail. I tucked the bottom hem up so it wasn't as visible. It was also a very warm dress to be dancing in. The cutouts on the arms are a little itchy at first but I forgot about it later on (your arm hair might poke out funny a little bit)

I did get loads of compliments and there definitely wasn't anything like it at the dance! Looks fabulous. Not sure if I'd rent it again.

Pros: Got A LOT of compliments on the dress. It was the appropriate length for a semi-formal winter cocktail party. Fit perfect on top. Sleeves were just the right length and width - any more and it would have been too baggy.

Cons: A bit tight around the booty, so not 100% perfect for my pear-shaped body. I made it work, but had to scrap any undergarments with seams as they were very obvious under the tight fabric. The fabric was also fairly warm. I was sweating a bit by the end of 2 hours of socializing (and I was hardly moving around). Great for a winter event, but probably not appropriate for anything in the summer. Cut outs fall a bit low, so be cautious with a bra. I had to keep pulling up on the front of the dress. And bigger and the sleeves would have been too big.

Overall, this dress was just about the right size on top (maybe could have done a M), but a bit too tight on bottom.

The dress ran large; I usually wear a small and I ended up wearing the XS.  Also, the dress was extremely long.  I ended up rolling up the bottom about 3-4 inches.  But other than that, it was perfect!  The cutouts made the dress.

Definitely runs small. I got the small and medium and I could not even get the small on. I love the laser cut details on the sleeves and bodice. The bodice is a little revealing so I had to try several bras before I found one that worked. The material is like scuba suit material. Over all: perfect for a nice evening. 

Probably not the best choice for a pear shape as the bottom was stretching over my hips and the fabric looked loose up top. However I was definitely the best dressed there and received tons of compliments. The cut outs were eye catching and a fantastic detail.  Also, loved the samples! Great surprise!

When I saw this dress on this site, I thought that it was a show stopper! When I received it and put it on, I just didn't really care for it. My husband approved it before I purchased it but even when he saw me in it, his eyes didn't light up like they normally do. It's not a bad dress. I just didn't feel pretty in it.  I did receive compliments all evening. But I still didn't really care for it. 

I wore this dress for a NYE event and it was great! The material is very thick, almost like a wet suit (think scuba material) but it was very stretchy and I felt it was very flattering. I love the cut outs in the neckline and sleeves. Paired with a pair of sparkly silver flats  and it looked great! Would definitely recommend! 

I'm 5'5 and 150 lbs I usually were M size but it runs big hopefully I ordered S and the M as backup! It fitted perfectly the only thing is it goes up when you walk but it's feel  comfortable maybe if the dress were shorter wouldn't happen . Overall I love it!! 

I wanted to try this dress for a NYE's dinner. The forecast called for temperatures in the low 20s so I knew that a scuba material dress would be perfect. I typically wear smalls and size 4 but the small in this case looked bad as it bunched up around the stomach and made me look like I had rolls! The XS actually fit better because it hugged me everywhere. I wore a deep cut strapless bra and you could still see a bit of my black bra but it worked with the dress. I went bare-legged to the restaurant and wore a long coat and felt fine! Even if you overheated in this dress you wouldn't be able to see any sweat because of the material but I didn't have that problem. I would buy is dress!

Dress is awesome. Material is heavier so it was VERY hot in the club we were in. Fits true to size BUT was a bit large due to the stretch. Overall I got TONS of compliments on the dress and would rent again! 

This dress is slimming but not super forgiving. It's made of scuba material so it's thick however it's tight so it's going to show everything. I wore the large because the medium showed my bra line more than I wanted especially for the event. The medium did however fit. It's a bit difficult to get into since you have to pull the it over your head. Also warm so great for evening or fall/winter. 

A few areas felt like there was extra fabric but overall fit well and was fun to wear out. It was a little longer than I would have liked but I have short legs. 

Beautiful dress, I wore it for my husbands birthday dinner. Like other reviewers, the cut outs at the bodice are low, so I just wore it with pasties instead of a bra. The cutouts make the dress special without it being too over the top. The fabric is thick and prefect for cold weather nights. The dress rode up a bit, but that was expected for me. I would rent this again in a heartbeat.

Thick material - fun date night dress.  Not as fitted as other Clover Canyon dress - but this is perfect for a chilly night!

Wonderful dress for a February wedding.  Very comfortable and received tons of compliments.  I rented a M and a L and ended up wearing the L because the M was very tight.  It's snug dress, so get your spanx ready!

This dress fit me like a glove. The material is so flexible....but still hugs your figure. I received many compliments. 

I am usually a size medium, but it wasn't available so I decided to "suck it up" and get the small and I am so glad I did.  Don't get me wrong I was wearing two pairs of spanx with this dress since it definitely clings to every inch of your body, but, I have never felt so slim, so gorgeous and so festive!  It is made of that scuba material so its warm but also contours with your body.  My fiancé couldn't keep his hands off of me.

I wore this dress to a dinner party for my husbands work. Overall this dress was great. It fit well and wasn't too short. It hit me at about mid thigh. I have arms a little on the muscular side so the sleeves were a little snug but not uncomfortable.  Great dress if you want to make a subtle statement. 

I rented this for a bachelorette party at the casino in November. At 5'1" and 115 pounds, I was happy with the XS because it didn't cling to my butt and legs, but sucked in my stomach with the thick scuba material and came to just above my knee. As other reviews note, the cut outs come down very low in the front. I wore a strapless black bra and accepted that it was slightly visible. This was a fun and sexy but still classy enough option for a winter night out.

This was my "night out" dress in my RTR Update & it was great! The cut is VERY low, so I ended up wearing a black bra that made it look like it had a sweetheart under layer. Was warm enough with tights in the winter. Nice dress that isn't too fancy for a nice dinner out. 

I liked this dress, but didn't love it.  It is an extremely fitted dress that shows every bump. I don't carry my weight in my stomach, but this dress made it look like I did. I needed to wear spanx and to hold in my stomach throughout the evening to carry off this dress.  Other neoprene dresses that I have rented at RTR didn't have that issue. Also, the sleeves are quite long.

In terms of fit, I would say it runs fairly small. I am a size 10 in RTR dresses (5'8", 155 lbs, 36C) and this dress in size Large was quite fitted on me. Also, because there is only a very short zipper in the back, it takes some wrangling to get into that dress. 

The dress is unlined and made out of a sturdy neoprene material. The design is via laser-cut cutouts. I wore the dress with a regular nude bra rather than a strapless bra. As long as the tone of the bra matches my skin tone, I found that one couldn't tell what was my bra and what was my skin. 

Very flattering. Runs a little bit big. Cute and simple but nothing spectacular 

I rented this for a birthday party. I didn't end up wearing it because I knew I would be melting in it. It is a very thick almost scuba suit material. It will compliment your figure and keep you very warm. 

Although I don't have a perfect shape, this dress is really great. I rented the large and the medium and chose the medium because I liked the glove fit better. The large had too much material. Be aware, the cut outs on the top are low, I put a black bra because you could see my nude bra if I didn't. Great rental!

I wore this to my mom's all black masquerade party and I received compliments all night! This was one of my favorite rentals and to think I got it as the backup dress. 

I actually end up wearing the other dress instead of this one.  The dress is great, but it was easily outshined by the white Dress the Population dress.  My husband told me I looked like I was going to a funeral instead of out for a night on the town.

This is obviously me trying it on in my bathroom, so that explains the shower curtain. Loved this dress so much. I wanted to stand out in what I knew would be a sea of lace dresses at a fall wedding. This material is very tight, thick and yet forgiving. The cutouts are so sexy. My husband loved this dress more than me. I wore dark nylons and black pumps. I would wear this again.

This dress is a perfect cut for a bachelorette party, except for the fabric is thick and I was literally sweating the whole night. Did a January bachelorette in Manhattan and I thought it would be cold, I had serious regret!!!  Runs sort of small so I sized up. I am 5'9", 150, 32 DD. (I wore a  medium in this dress in the past but I think I was approx 140 lbs then)

I rented this dress for my cousins sweet 16. It was a great dress, I received so many compliments. The only issue is that the cutouts are very low in the chest. I wore a nude strapless bra and it was hard to notice but a little annoying. I am very small chested so it might fit better on different body types. 

The fabric of this dress is thick, so it's nice and warm except for where the cutouts are. You almost definitely have to wear an adhesive bra with it, as the chest cut outs go quite low. A normal nude bra was much more obvious compared to an adhesive bra. I also taped up the hem since I'm short and didn't like the length. Loved this dress, and the date did too!

I should have worn the medium for fit, but the cutouts were so low, even with a black strapless bra it looked weird. I have the medium on in the picture and you can see a peek of the blue bra (just to show where it hit) and thats after a little adjusting to see if i could make it work. The material was great, wedding was October 1 near Cleveland, OH, and outside in the evening, didnt need a jacket, felt comfortable all night. The cutouts were very cute and different than the standard LBD. 

I'm a true Medium in most things and this number fit perfectly. So fun, so fierce for a night out in Vegas. Love the "scuba" material- I felt confident even after dinner ;-)

I rented this dress for my stepsister. She is always cold, and since we were going out in Seattle in March I wanted to make sure she would be warm enough.
This dress did the trick! The fabric is very thick, and as some have mentioned it feels like scuba material. That said, it is a chore to get on and off. We were laughing pretty hard the first time I had to help pull it off of her. And she did have to wear shape wear underneath, because on her it was quite tight. She probably could have done and XL, but that wasn't an option. 
The one strange thing about the dress was how large the arms were. Now I assume it's this way so your arms don't bulge out of the laser cut, but it was a little strange. They were also VERY long.
All in all a cute dress. Probably not for short people though, or for those afraid of showing off their curves.

I will definitely rent more Clover Canyon because of the neoprene material and how it fits and holds your body amazingly well. Doesn't wrinkle and is easy to wear! Wore to an outdoor wedding (60 degrees) and it was plenty warm for later in the night. Sleeves are longer but I just folded them under an inch and it was undetectable. Great flattering and unique little black dress!

This is a really beautiful dress - that being said, the length was a little awkward on me. I am 5'9 and pear shaped, so it didn't fit exactly how I imagined. I am a true 4 and the medium fit very well, but was a little loose up top and it did scrunch up a little bit. I ended up being able to wear a low cut bra with straps without it showing. Definitely put this on before you do your hair/makeup as it doesn't zip all the way down. The arms do take a little bit of getting used to but were fine once I did. Photographs well! 

I rented this dress for my husband's work event in Las Vegas. It's unique and easy to wear. The thick neoprene-like material is warm even with the cutouts. Although it's definitely sexy, it's not overtly so which was nice for when we were with colleagues but it was also easily dressed up once we hit the bar later. I typically wear a medium but wore the large (back up size) as the medium was really hard to get into (zipper does not go the whole dress and I was worried about my hair). When I tried both sizes on though, they were nearly identical (the only difference was that cutouts on the large displayed more chest). I would definitely rent this dress again!

Loved it!The dress is slimming, the cutouts are sexy and elegant. This dress fit like a glove, I wore a bra for my own comfort, but most women probably wouldn't need one.  I only gave it 4 stars because since this dress is basically a scuba suit, it gets HOT! It was a cold night (30 degrees and windy) so it was great outside but once I was inside any type of dancing made me feel like I was in heating up. Also the cutouts tend to snag. The dress came on time and in great condition. This is my 3rd or 4th experience with RTR and as usual it was great. 

Rented this for a work party and it was great.  The cut outs provided a fun twist in the sea of black dresses.  I could wear a standard low cut nude bra with no problem. The sleeves were a little long but I just rolled them under.  Nice dress overall. 

Rented this for Valentine's Day.  It ended up being very cold it with the wind chill it felt -30 outside!   While my legs where cold, I was very warm under my coat in this dress! It's stretchy and thick! The neoprene is very warm! I went with the size l as I have a butt and the arms were a bit more fitted.   Only problem I had was with the bra as the cut outs do go rather low.  I would definitely rent this again!

Initially ordered a medium but ended up wearing the back-up in small, which was a perfect fit.  The material is neoprene so it's warm enough to wear alone, and it fits skin tight like a wet suit.  Although the dress is advertised as mid-thigh it hits just above the knee if you're 5'1".

The dress fit well and was a nice comfy material.  The only thing that was annoying was the zipper in the back- it only goes to mid-shoulder blade length, so you have to pull the dress over your head; it was hard to get on and off.  It got a little warm at times when dancing, but was great for the rest of the dinner!  No shawl or cardigan needed.  I thought this would be short on me, but it was knee-length.  Overall thumbs up!

Literally scuba wet suit type material. Holds you in. Felt amazing and sexy on. Was very tight (which I loved). I didn't wear it because I didn't think it fit the crowd I was going out with that night. I will definitely rent again and wear. My husbands eyes about popped out when I walked in the room wearing this!!! ( blush***)
