Loved this dress from the moment I put it on! Super flattering and comfortable. I could fit into both sizes but decided the 8 laid a little bit better up top. I have broad shoulders and ribs for my size so the 8 was more comfortable. If you want to show off your hour glass figure and still be able to dance, this is the dress. 

Fit great.  Received lots of compliments and when I told people I rented it, they wanted to check out rent the runway.

I am normally a 6 and the 6 fit very well. No need for a bra. Slit is just right. 

Love this gown!  It was very elegant and classic! The perfect gown for a black tie affair! 

The stamp was supposed to be over my shoulder but I decided to wear it off shoulder.

I ordered a 4R and a 6P.   I could have worn both but the 6P was a little short and I liked that the 4 sucked me in a little more.  I do think it runs large though as I'm a true 6. The petite length would have been good if I wore shorter heels but with 4 in heels it was about 2in off the ground and it looked weird.  Otherwise, a very comfortable dress.  Has a little stretch and moves with you. 

Had to wear a strapless bra as I didn't quite fill the top. Had to size down so it would fit my waist/chest. Ordered the longer length, it was perfect with 3" heels (I'm 5'5). Great silhouette, loved the shoulder detail but did have to pull it up a lot.  

Really pretty and nice details like the ruffle shoulder and slit to make this black gown more fun

I received so many compliments about this dress. So many people wanted to know where I got such a glam dress. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the bow piece on the shoulder flops down when it should be a bit more structured to stay up. Otherwise loved it!

Comfortable, dragged a little bit, but was great to wear for a full evening 

Easy dress that looks great in photos and is comfortable to wear. I'm typically a 6 but the 8 fit best in the bust as the 6 produced arm pit fat and uni-boob. Best part is I didn't have to wear a bra; the dress never moved and still looked great. The zipper is tricky and you will think it is too small but it fits. You just have to hook the eye at the top and shift your boobs to the other side before you zip. Plenty of room. I was worried the bow would be obnoxiously big, but it was barely noticeable while wearing it. The only con was a separation of the seam in the hip that I had to sew up a bit to last the night. #masquerade #nospanx #nobra #classy

I loved this dress! Felt like a glamorous princess the entire night and received so many compliments. I ordered the 12 and 10 but chose to wear the 12 for comfort. The length was a little long but I'm only 5'4". I could easily dance the night away in this dress. Very comfortable. 

Love the fit! Wore this for my engagement photos. Looked and felt like a million bucks!!

Great dress! I wore this to a fundraiser gala and received a lot of compliments. Loved the one shoulder, and it was actually pretty comfortable for a gown. Fit TTS! 

The shoulder detail didn't lay quite as pretty on me as it looked in the photo.  It was good, but not great. Overall the heavy material was great for hiding, well, everything.  Extra points for that.  I had a little issue with the boning in the upper rib area.  I eventually went back to my room and covered the edge with tissue to give some cover to where it was digging in.  It was reasonably comfortable otherwise.

I LOVED this dress and received many compliments on it! It fit true to size, was so comfy and a nice material that didn't bunch up or slouch down. It has a great built in bra and we danced all evening with no issues. I am about 5'5-5'6 and the 8R was the perfect length with 2in heels. The slit is really nice and doesn't come up too high. Con: My only complaint for this dress and the only reason I didn't give it 5stars is because the plastic 'wires' around the bust area were coming through the material and poking me. They are very sharp and I had to apply a bandaid to them to keep them from digging into my skin. I loved this experience and am planning on using RTR again in the future!

Loved this dress! It was a very comfortable material, definitely has some stretch to it. I received lots of compliments and felt fabulous in it. I did wear a strapless bra to help push up the girls but the dress does have a built in bra. I do not have a large chest but if I did I'm not sure the built-in bra would be supportive enough. I am about 5'4" and wore 2.5" heels which was perfect for the length. 

I'm 5'7", 135lbs, B cup... the length was great with 2in heels. Comfortable dress. Great for dancing. 

I did not want to take this dress off once I put it on.  The material was thick, snug and very figure flattering.  I picked the perfect dress for me.  I will certainly use RTR again, but it will be difficult to choose a dress other than this one.

This dress is GORGEOUS! It hugs in all of the right places, doesn't fall down at the top where you have to pull up the dress all night, and the slit is sexy but not too high where you have to be careful when sitting down. I received tons of compliments on this dress....even from my husband who usually could care less either way. 

I ordered a size 8r as my size to fit and a 6r just Incase the 8 was too big, the 8 fit my body like a glove but when it came to my chest area.. it didn't fit at all. This was a gorgeous gown!! The package came at a perfect time especially with Christmas and all of the holidays going on. It was my fault for not trying on the dress when it first arrived. However my chest did NOT fit in this dress what so ever. I was eventually able to zipper it but, it looked terrible on the top. I posted the other photo of what I ended up wearing so guys could get an idea of what my body looks like. My suggestion is order UP a few sizes if you have a larger chest! 

I loved this dress!  I normally would wear a 2 and had to size up to a 4L as it was tight in the chest. 

If you plan on wearing heels and are over 5'9" I would definitely suggest the long. I wore 3 inch heels with the dress and am 5'10" and made it perfect for dancing and making sure I did not step on the dress. 

The fabric has some elasticity and has a bit of stretch so you don't feel liek it's too tight and can't move. The over-the-shoulder and the embellishments on the front were just enough without being too over the top.The slit on the side came up to the perfect length and doesn't reveal too much leg. It's appropriate for a work event or a wedding. I loved this dress and recommend it!

This was my backup dress, but since true to size, it fit perfectly. Material has some give, and was perfect for dancing. The bow and one shoulder add a fun twist to a boring black formal dress! 

Pro: Style, Comfort  &    Con: Size up if you have fuller bust!

Can't say enough great things about this dress! The 12L fit me like a glove, and I even wore a small wedge heel with it - so the length was perfect. The fabric is sooo smooth and stretchy. No spanx needed and I never felt like it was restricting. It was fitted but not tight and hugged all the right places. I received many compliments and loved my night in this dress!

What a great dress for a holiday party!   The fabric is thick and stretchy, and that combined with the high slit makes it easy to sit, eat and dance in.  The one shoulder is fantastic and on trend and the bow makes it fun and holiday perfect.  On the fit - I am 5'6", 144 pounds, athletic and carry my weight in my hips / legs.  I think the most important thing on the sizing is your bra band size as that is where the dress fits the tightest.  At a 32 band, I could just barely get the built in bra on the size 6 hooked.  Once I got it, I was able to get the dress zipped and it felt snug but good.  The 8 was slightly easier to get into, but mine had a rip on one of the seams so I'm glad the 6 worked!   I wore 2.5" heels and then back of the dress drug just a little, but it was manageable.  If I owned it I'd hem it maybe half an inch.  So fun!  

I am 5’3”, 130lbs, 36C/D, and an athletic build (typically a size 6). This dress was figure flattering and fit perfectly except it was snug on the chest (I had to work to zip it over the boob area). I would have preferred petite length, but I was in tall heels so the regular was fine. The black bow on the bust really dressed up an otherwise simple black dress, and it kept me from having too much cleavage falling out.

I got this dress as a free second look for being a first time RTR user. This wasn't my first choice and I didn't think the 14 (only size available, I wanted the 16) would even fit. I ended up wearing THIS one to a gala I went to! Omg. Wonderful fit, very sexy, super easy shipping/return process. Fit very true to size as I usually order 16 for formal dresses and wear a 14-16 in regular clothes. A 16 honestly still would have fit, but it wouldn't have hugged me like this. If you're shy about your curves then definitely go a size up. I was concerned about ordering from this site because I am a thick curvy girl but it's very body friendly and I felt soooo sexy in it. Strongly recommend this dress and this site is awesome, will be using again 

Fit great. No need for a bra, due to built in. Was form fitting but so comfortable. Lots of compliments! I would highly recommend this dress.

Loved this dress.  I wore it for my daughters sweet 16.  I received tons of compliments.  I normally wear size 10/12 but order 14.  The 14 for me perfectly!  Fabric was very comfortable 

This dress is very good quality. I got lots of compliments. It did arrive with a few marks from the  previous renter but thankfully could be rubbed off with a wet cloth. It was too small on the top. If you have a larger bust size up! 

This dress is gorgeous. I had to use a hemming tape to make it short enough for me. I am 125lbs and 5'0. I wore 3.5 inch heels. The dress was loose, but because I was drinking and eating I was happy with the little more room by the end of the evening.
