Viennese Ball - what more can I say?
Fit as advertised, a bit long with 3" heels, but I managed. Felt right at home at a Viennese ball with mostly Austrians. Very elegant, and it travelled well in my suitcase.

Pretty much perfect, including pockets!
I rented this dress as my backup dress for prom, but I ended up wearing it because it fit my body type so well. I have a wide ribcage and broad shoulders, but the fit of the dress made my waist look smaller and the flare was also very flattering. The only problem I had with the dress is that the bust was a little bit too roomy and it was a little tight around my ribs. The model in the photo isn't really wearing the dress correctly as mentioned by other reviewers, but I tried both styles of tying the ribbons in the back and both work fairly well. I normally wear a size 4 but the dress runs a little small. There is a size chart on the Tracy Reese website which helped me find my size, so I recommend that. I'm 5'6'' and could wear 3 1/2'' inch heels with it sweeping the floor perfectly. ALSO, the pockets were a big plus. I would definitely recommend this dress for any event!

I received complements all night long, including this dress being the best dress in the room!
I wore this gorgeous dress to a black tie art museum ball. The fabric is heavy and the ornamentation is fabulous. The empire waist and large pleats create a lot of space and doesn't lie flat. If you are looking for a slimming dress, this is not the one. The cut is flattering and stunning in person and the front pockets helped the fabric lay flat when I put my phone and keys in them. I normally wear a size 4 dress and I was unable to get the size 4R fastened by myself. Once someone else fastened me up, the bodice felt very snug and I was worried I would not be comfortable throughout the night. I was pleasantly surprised that it was very comfortable all night and I never thought about it again. I would think this could be an issue for people with a larger cup size. I ordered a size smaller so I don't know how the 6 would have fit, but my guess is that the area below the empire would have been too bulky with the 6. The length of this dress hit the floor perfectly with 4 1/2 inch heels. If I had worn any shorter heels the dress would have been dragging. I chose to tie a knot in the front of the dress instead of a bow in the back as shown on the model. There is a slit in the dress on the left side of the waist for the tie to thread through. I would highly recommend this dress. It is elegant and stunning!

Easy to wear and great to dance in!
It fits true to size! Great for pear shapes (like me) ha-ha. I am 5'11" and unfortunately the dress was unavailable in a long length. The regular was a bit too short and hovered above the ground. However, with heels, it looked like it was intended to be short. I would definitely order a long though if you are above 5'9" or so. I really liked the back! They don't have it tied right in the models picture, but you just wrap the ribbons around the front and tie in the back. Super classy dress! Would rent again.

Wore this dress to an NYU event at the Met museum and I got lots of compliments!
The interior of the dress had two stick-like things to give the bust some structure, and it semi dug into my chest area the whole night, however, it wasn't too bothersome if I straightened my back more often. However, the crease fold on the front right of the dress was a little loose, but it's not really noticeable due to the dark color of this dress! Overall, the length was perfect with 3 inch heels and it made me look elegant.

I loved the dress, and thankfully it fit, because do to a mistake I made, I got it late.
The 0 would have been perfect, except they didn't have it in a long, and the regular was just too short. I'm pretty tall (about 5'11) and even the long (pictured) was a little shorter than I liked with 3 inch heels. Overall though it was wonderful. The pockets came in handy so I didn't need a bag . The top however was huge on me (I'm a 32A so it wasn't surprising). I had to put a bra in the front, and use fashion tape to hold it up so I was comfy. It was also a little hard to get on in both sizes because I have pretty wide hips. It looked just like the pictures too which was a major plus. Just keep in mind, due to the material, it's heavy, and the zipper is a pain.

Skinny + Pretty + Pockets = A Win!
I discovered on the morning of my event that the outfit I originally ordered from RTR was stuck in a UPS facility that was closed all the weekend (the Friday delivery was reset on Saturday morning for a Monday delivery). So I rushed to the store in DC to be there as soon after opening as possible and scoured the racks for a suitable replacement for a black tie wedding. This was the last dress I tried on and it made me look both skinny and pretty. A win! The dress was a size 6, which is my "if I'm feeling skinny" size. I have a large rib cage and the corset ended at the base of my rib cage so without adjustments, the corset bones dug into my ribs. Once adjusted, the dress was on the low end of the discomfort scale which more had to do with it being technically too small for me than any inherent fault of the dress. I wore 3.5" heels and the dress was just long enough that I had to carry the skirt while walking outside but could leave it alone inside. Also, the model in the picture is not wearing the sashes correctly. They are meant to be wrapped around the ribcage and tied either in the front (as I did) or in the back. I received plenty of compliments from guests and was very happy with the final outcome.

This dress was so awesome for a Barristers Ball, fancy but not too revealing.
I'm 5'5'' and wore heels, so its a little long. But the fit was tight enough so that it didn't fall down through a long night of dancing! This dress was perfect for a black-tie professional affair!

Beautiful, comfortable, and no one else was wearing this dress!
I'm slim on top (34A/32B), size 4 and 5'6''. The 4R fit me perfectly and just dusted the ground with 3.5 in heels. The black pattern is raised almost like puff paint on top of the midnight blue background. I wrapped the panels around the front and tied them in a simple knot in back. The dress had a lot of structure in the bodice, so I didn't have to pull it up once all night, but still it was comfortable. I could see how it might be too tight on top for someone curvier. One of the reasons I chose this dress over others was because it had so few reviews, so I assumed no one else would be wearing it at my gala event, which turned out to be true.

Incredible!
I absolutely loved this dress! I wore it for prom along with some other rented jewelry, and it came out perfect! I did have to get a replacement of the same dress because there was an inseam tear that had a piece of plastic that would poke me and it was quite irritating, but other than that it was stunning! PS the pockets were definitely my favorite part!

I wore this to a Military ball and it was a huge hit! The dress matched my date's uniform perfectly.
Pockets, pockets, pockets! Every dress should have pockets like this one. It was a bit of a circus act getting into the dress, there are a lot of zippers and clasps and a sash. You're supposed to wrap the ties around the front and tie in the back, but I wore it just like the model to cover up a little more of my back. I'm not particularly busty, so I'm glad the dress was a little snug and stayed up without having to be adjusted every two minutes. I'd definitely rent this dress again.

Wore this to a Mardi Gras ball, and this dress stood out and was very comfortable.
Beautiful gown--absolutely gorgeous texture, and the pockets were useful. This dress does run small, I would recommend one size up from your regular size.

Very simple yet elegant.
Very nice dress. Simple, perfect for fall. The wedding was out of town and it's the perfect fabric to take with you, no need to iron. I'm not super tall but I wish I should've ordered the L instead of the R. But overall, very comfortable.

Fabric detail more beautiful in person
I'll talk about length first for all the petite women out there - this dress is too long. I had to wear heals and I was still tripping on it all the time. Sometimes when the dresses are long I can get away with flats, but not with this dress. But aside from the length, the dress was beautiful. You might need some assistance getting the dress on because of the clasps and the bow. I don't have a very large chest so it did feel a little loose, but I wasn't ever concerned that it would fall down. the clasp and bow took care of that for me. The skirt wasn't fitted, but it wasn't a big skirt. You won't have to worry about it hugging your hips at all. I got tons of compliments on the dress all night and was very comfortable.

Nice dress
I rented this dress as a backup dress for a formal affair, I tried it on but did not end up wearing it. The dress looks well made, expensive, quality material, definitely elegant. When I tied the belt in the back, it created rather unattractive and visible skin folds on my lower back( and I am size 2) so I would not wear it for that reason.

Absolutely love the cut and the detail!
There was an inside metal around the bust that was a little pokey and not so comfortable.

This dress not for me
I ordered this along with some other dresses for a holiday event. The darts for the bust are sewn small. With the heavyweight fabric the bust area is pointy and not natural looking at all. This is also ver narrow in the torso.
