Perfect for Post-Partum!
I was very nervous about my first black-tie affair since having my baby but this peplum stunner fit the bill. The reviews on length didn't apply in my case: at 5"6" I was fine in 3" heels although others of similar height said they needed even higher heels. I'm usually a 6 but ended up wearing the back-up size 8 due to breastfeeding as the bust was still snug and I had trouble zipping it up (I didn't wear a bra just nursing pads!). I received tons of compliments and as this was my 1st RTR experience I will definitely be back!

The dress was super easy to wear and I felt great in it!
Black is always slimming but when you add the peplum lay over you can eat all you want!

I felt like Audrey Hepburn!
I had so much trouble getting a dress but the amazing stylists at Rent the Runway went completely out of their way and when my original dress' quality had me without anything to wear, they sent me four more dresses! This dress fit me like a glove and with my four-inch heels the gown just touched the floor. It was perfect. I got compliments all night long, many telling me I looked like a 1940's movie star. I have a smaller bust and rib cage so the gown was no problem for me, but if you have a broader torso and a larger bust, you might want to rethink this dress. I had zero trouble dancing and moving around and in the end, I was so sad to send it back! Perfect night with a perfect dress!

So many people said I was the best dressed in the room!
It fits a little right in the torso, but overall it runs pretty true to size. I'm also a little short, so the dress was slightly long on me.

Belle of the Ball!
This dress was number 3 of 3 that I rented for Mardi Gras weekend in New Orleans for our very busy weekend of events. Every dress was a success (2 formals and one luncheon cocktail dress). My other rental was the same designer and I wore a size 4 but because of the design of this dress and my ample top :-) I needed the size 6. Literally the compliments flowed all night. This ball was tails and white gloves so very formal. This was absolutely exactly the look I wanted. My friend in the pic is also wearing a RTR dress by the way.

I received numerous compliments on this gorgeous gown! People loved the style & said it was classy.
The reason I gave this dress 4 stars is because it was a bit too long for me. I am short (5'1''), so that might have something to do with it. I had on 5 inch heels and I still had to hold my dress up when I walked. However, everything else was fabulous! The size was perfect; the style was so elegant and classy; and the material was great! I wore this dress to a ball and people loved it! Everyone kept asking where I got the dress from, and I felt like a princess that evening. Thank you Rent the Runway for yet another fabulous and stylish look!

Beautiful dress
This is a lovely dress I rented for a formal bar mitzvah. They recommended that you ordered a size up as your back up dress, which I did, however I should have ordered a size smaller because the 6L was too big. I ended up not wearing this dress and wearing an alternate. I would, however, rent this dress again. The material is heavy and screams quality. It is really pretty on. One thing, it is long. 3 inch heels would not cut it (I am 5'7).

A peplum that's glam instead of the usual cute!
This was of course too long, since I'm 5'3", even with heels, but some temporary hemming did the trick! The dress is sleek and i got many compliments. But - my friend in the picture rented the Badgley Mischka Rouge Rosalind Peplum gown and she got 100x more compliments. Her dress was a true knockout standout, mine I'd say was just fine for a formal event.

This wasn't my first choice, and I wouldn't say it was my favorite ever, but it did the job.
Super easy fit, was a little tight around the bust but nothing major or unbearable. The peplum added just the right amount of flair and has a silvery tone underneath that worked for the space industry gala I wore this for. I have a small waist but I also have enough hip that I wasn't completely crazy about the added fabric there. Fabric is comfy and it's a relatively easy wear. If you don't mind a little hip baggage and you're looking for a safe black option with that little something extra to set you apart, this does the trick.

I felt like a million bucks in this dress! I am recommending rent the runway to everyone!
Great fit, great length. The long size was great for tall girls. I'm 5'6" and was able to wear my highest heels with this!

SO flattering in every way. !
This dress is perfect for a formal affair. I loved the fit of this dress, It is very slimming and comfortable. The fabric is heavy and a beautiful quality. In a sea of black you still stand out.

This dress was really great. It had an understated elegance. I got lots of compliments
If you have a small chest then a bra isn't needed as there is boning in the dress. With that said the size I wore (6L) had an issue where some of the boning was sticking out at the bottom of the bodice, and without padding it was would have been uncomfortable. I wish you could see that there is a beautiful silvery blue/gray lining under the peplum but it was a beautiful surprise. All in all if you want a simple subtly elegant dress with a bit of a twist this fits your needs!

Dress was elegant
The only downside is if you have a large bust. I had to do a lot of squeezing to get into the dress and then wore a shall to overcome some of the "spillover". Otherwise, the dress was very well received

Nice dress...
Great dress, comfortable, especially if you are feeling bloated or have something to hide in the mid section. The peplum is wonderfully dramatic, but It is black so that makes it very basic, great if you don't want to be the center of attention but have some uniqueness.

Beautiful shape. Understated elegance.
Absolutely lovely dress that produces a pristinely elegant, slender silhouette regardless of your size or trouble areas! A very superbly flattering cut for (presumably) every body type. Unfortunately, it ran slightly large on me (seems to be a theme!!), but not too severe ... so overall, I'd have to say it runs true to size. Other reviews are accurate regarding the room in the bust (or lack thereof if you're blessed or enhanced). I would have worn this had the length been more appropriate for my size ... even with 4" heels it was a good 2" too long for my 5'1"ness. Buggers!!
