This dress is quite flattering and comfortable. It is lined with a very soft lining. The fabric is very nice. It was knee length. Two complaints: the snap closure to hook the strap to your bra strap is gone: just one side of one snap remains. RTR, please repair this feature. Also, the top edges of the bow fold down. i taped them with fabric tape but it didn't hold so i discarded it and let them fold. I love that it is a midnight blue. To me that is much more interesting than black for a formal event. i wore it with the Crislu "a girl's best friend" diamond bracelet and the Ciner emerald pear stud earrings. What a gorgeous, sophisticated look. Thank you RTR stylists!

Loved this dress! It was so simple, classic, and elegant. It fit very well, and would be flattering on any body type. I highly recommend!!!

I'm officially a RTRite. I wore this to a Chamber of Commerce banquet where I knew that there would be a sea of black (or meh attire, I'm in a smallish town in eastern TN). This dress fit a bit iffy through the bust (I'm a Cish cup), so no padded bras! And yes, you can wear a normal bra, the dress even has these great little snaps with threads to keep the bra straps in place, so no fashion tape needed! I paired it with bright, "Ferrari Red" Gianni Bini suede heels, pearls, and black hose (I had bruises on my legs, otherwise I would have gone bare legged). I am definitely going to rent again. The best part, other than all of the compliments I received and feeling like a model all night? I went home, folded the dressed , stuck them in the envelope, and my hubby popped it in the mail this morning and off they went to NYC- without me having to schlep them to a dry cleaners. RTR is the way to go. Who wants to have to wear the same boring and basic LBD to every event? Not this fashionista.

This dress is perfect for a bridesmaid! I wore this at my SIL's wedding and got lots of compliments on it. The only thing I have to say is the top was VERY tight. I am not very busty at all (34B) and I ended up not wearing a bra because I couldnt breathe with one on! Order the next size up as a backup!

Accentuates the waist but gives plenty of room to hide the tummy. Pockets are a plus. This dress can be dressed up for a party or dressed down for daytime. I wore it with a navy cardigan and simple jewelry. One of my favorite Kate Spade dresses!

Fit great!

I wore this to an event at an upscale museum. My SO absolutely loved this dress! He said it made me look classy and beautiful. I wore this dress with my hair up, and a pair of earrings that I rented from RTR as well. Although it is a bit long for my height (it fell just around my knee, and I do think I would have looked nicer if it fell near my tights but that's because I'm much shorter than the model! so not the dress's fault) The bow really accentuates the waist and makes it look more narrow, and overall, I was very pleased with this dress.

Snug through chest, no bra needed for me (36 C/D). Loved the neckline and the scoop back. It was very flattering and covered the little bit of "side boob" I get in snug dresses because the straps and neckline went almost to the edge of my shoulder.

Didn't get to wear it. Customer Service was great regarding the refund!

The dress fits true to size. I had to go up a size from my normal size due to being pregnant and wanting to make sure my baby bump would fit! It was the perfect dress and very appropriate.

Unfortunately RTR was out of the 4 so I tried the 6. It was slightly too big for me. Baggy in the upper section and lose in the middle (I had an inch of extra fabric when I pulled tight). I liked the other dress I had rented better so I went with that one. If needed, I easily could have worn this dress in size 6 but when I rent in the future I will get the 4 (I think it will fit perfect). The color is a dark navy blue, nice fabric, and felt very comfortable. Overall a nice, simple, classic dress that I plan to try again in the future.

I love this dress! Pretty satin finish that shows off the blue color. Fitted at the waist and to the knee. Lower back but can still wear a normal bra. Loved it and received many compliments. Very polished and lady like!

This dress was beautiful and very flattering on. Great for any formal affair. Would not suggest for girls with a larger bust and the dress is NOT black like stated in the description...it is absolutely navy blue. Still, I loved the dress and felt very pretty in it. Will definitely be renting from RTR again. Great first experience.

This was my backup dress - and I chose to wear the Elie Tahari that was my first choice. This was a solid backup, but felt & looked a little like a bridesmaid dress. However - it is a safe choice when you want to look nice but not over glam

This dress was so beautiful, I may have to search online and buy it. I am 5'7" and 125 lbs... still trying to lose the last of my baby weight and this dress was so flattering. Covered my tummy and was modest but also sexy. The dress is dark navy, not black like the photo looks like.

I received a lot of compliments with this dress.. It would be nice if this came in Black instead of blue though. Nice dress for a black tie or cocktail party. The fit was good but kind of tight on the chest area. I wouldn't recommend it if you're heavy on top yet a petite size.

Too narrow in the shoulders for someone with an athletic build

great dress, feels good and looks good. one issue: i ordered a 10 and a 12. I received 2 dresses that both said they were size 10; one fit great (what seemed more like the size 12 should be) and the other did not.

This is a beautiful dress. It is a rich, deep sapphire color which is a nice change from the black I usually wear. I had received the wrong size so I didn't get to wear it. Once, I notified RTR of the the wrong size, their great customer service quickly corrected my order.

This is a lovely navy dress. I absolutely love that it has pockets. I ordered it for a formal tea party. This particular dress had a little bit of loose thread in the ribbon area. The hem in front kept flipping out, so I taped it down temporarily. Unfortunately RTR sent me the backup size, instead of a 2, which I normally wear. It fit, but was a little loose on me, as would be expected. Still looked great though.

Nice dark navy dress. The fabric looked slightly tired. Top is fairly loose. Would be an adorable bridesmaid dress.

I loved this dress from the second I saw it. It was just the right style and cut for me. I typically wear a four in dresses but think I could have worn a 2 in this particular one. My only complaint is that the dress is a deeeeeeep blue (the tag says midnight and it comes up under black dresses) and not black as it appears online. All of my accessories were black and in different lighting may have been an issue. Overall loved the experience and highly recommend Rent the Runway!

Fit really well, nice fabric - love kate spade - but this was just kind of an average black dress - I'm pretty sure I had something just as good in my closet.

Dress was cute. Not very formal in person. It was my back up so I didn't wear. Pretty true to size, but I wear a 36d and it wouldn't zip over my boobs.

The fit is really good. The dress is NAVY and not black. Also, in person in my opinion the dress is more of a casual look rather then a formal one. The material seems more like a heavy linen up close rather then shiny and slick like in the photo. I had ordered it for something formal and I ended up returning it because I needed something in black and not in navy- and also something more formal. So if you do rent this, use it for a cute lunch or brunch or something- not really an evening dress.

I loved this Kate Spade! It was perfect for the occasion and I got a TON of compliments on the dress. This was my first rental and I will be back for more!
