I ordered a 6R and the 8R as a backup. For some reason they both fit through the bodice the same but the 8 was much shorter than the 6R. So I ended up with the 8R even though it was a little larger in the chest area. The dress is very heavy. I had to tape the straps to my body so they would't fall, but overall the dress was beautiful and I received a lot of compliments.

Needed a 4R but it was unavailable. 6L was too long but still worked great. Got tons of compliments

Dress has a great ruffle down the front. That plus the way the straps cross hide flaws. Worn to a Mardi Gras ball.

I wore this dress to my corporate Christmas party at 8 months pregnant! Usually, I am a size 8, but I got a 12L because I was in my third trimester. Some people have told me that because of my height I do carry smaller so that may be a reason I fit in it this late in the game lol. The dress showed off my baby bump beautifully and my waist line (from the back of course). At first I was so nervous to wear it, and it was a little hard to zip without help, but I received so many compliments from men and women that night! Great dress and it flatters pregnancy!

Fit true to size. Fabric was thick with a nice heavy duty stretch. The dress itself is pretty simple, but the straps give it so much effortless style and sophistication. I love that the dress allows you to make it your own with the right accessories, hair and makeup. I'm pretty sure this dress would look good on many body types since the silhouette hits you in all the right places while masking any trouble areas. I received tons of compliments all night and would definite rent again!!

The dress fits true to size, but is a bit long. Other than that, great dress!

It is very long so you have to wear big heels. It is stretchy so you have a little wiggle room for the tummy area

Lovely, comfortable dress. The material is stretchy and forgiving. I couldn't figure out how to get the sleeves right until I pulled up the picture again, and the sleeve had a habit of falling a bit. Minor inconvenience. Would definitely recommend.

Comfortable, classy and easy to wear! So many compliments

I am a 12 with medium bust and it fit like a glove. I don't always like fully strapless gowns and had worn one shoulder dresses with these friends on our recent cruise, so I didn't want to repeat that look. Though this was a variation, the straps made it so elegant. They slipped a bit here and ther, but weren't annoying or distracting. I am a bit over 5'6" and had 4 inch heels and had the 12L and it was a little too long for me, but added to the column aspect of the look. The black and the draping was very forgiving for my 44 year old tummy. Over all, I felt confident, elegant, appropriate and stylish in this gown!

This is really an amazing black gown. The bust area had boning for support and the straps can be adjusted however you feel most comfortable. It really flatters the figure as well. Definitely the perfect black tie choice!

I LOVE this dress. I want to own this dress! This was my back-up dress and I only got it in one size (12). The other dress I got came in a size 14 and 12. The 12 was too small and the 14 was not flattering (looked like I had a kangaroo pouch). I was worried this dress would be too small after speaking with a RTR stylist but it fit perfectly. I am still losing some baby-weight and was nervous about how my tummy would look but this dress rocked it. I was getting complements all night. People were coming up to my husband to talk about my dress! I was better dressed than the hostess of the affair :-) Also, I noticed that someone mentioned that the straps did not stay in place, I did not have that problem, they stayed where they should most of the time. This dress does run long. I was in 5 inch heels and it was a bit long, so make sure you have very high heels.

Fit is absolutely true to size, and the material is very flattering. Some stretch to make the fit perfect and dancing comfortable, but its heavy enough to not ride up or scrunch. However, since the fabric is a little heavy, it does pull the corner down where the fringe-thing attaches. Not a big deal - I used a little fashion tape and it was pretty unnoticeable (I think if you're bigger busted it wouldn't be a problem at all). Length is good - always tricky for me at 5'6.5" to be right in between regular and long. I went with regular and my shoes showed some with 3" heels. The ONLY thing that keeps this dress from being 5 stars is the straps. While they are so flattering and amazingly beautiful, they are SO CONFUSING. I had to have a friend help me. And then, once the dress is on, you can't really lift your right arm due to the lowest strap on the arm. I just toasted with my left hand, but it got annoying on the dance floor.

It runs short, which is saying something since I'm only about 5'4. I wore a size up from my regular size because I'm curvy.

It was a touch long but worked! Felt really great in it.

The drape in the front was a little distracting for photos. The dress was definitely well worn which is probably why it seemed to run large. The boning was also popping through the lining on left chest side which was slightly uncomfortable. All in all- perfect for the event I went to, and it was exactly what I expected.... a long black dress that made me look skinny :-) I kept hearing how "classy" this gown was.

This is my favorite rental to date! It ran a little big as I feel I should probably be in an 8 right now, but I wore the 6 with no problems. In addition to being just a stunning gown it was also comfortable and flattering. I got tons of compliments! I would have given this dress a 5 if it had not been for the white marks that were all over it when it arrived. I spent quite a bit of time cleaning the gown up before I could wear it.

The dress is beautiful. Long was not as long as I imagined. I got compliments all night. It even hid my pudgy tummy. Overall great dress. I would love to wear it again someday.

This piece knows how to hug a curve, but is still forgiving and flattering at the same time. I'm pretty tiny up top and the 2R just fit... A simple strapless bra does the trick nicely and feel free to put on those 3+ inch heels. At 5'4" and a fairly athletic 130 it felt like it was meant for me. The draping in the back may droop just a tad... But I bet no one will notice.

The dress fit nicely and hid all of my flaws that come with it being the middle of the winter. It was very comfortable. I am 5'6 and was able to wear 3 inch heels with the regular length dress. Plenty of room for the girls and lots of stretch. Although, there were times that I was annoyed with the strap that goes around the neck.

Beautiful dress that is slimming, classy, and still unique. I loved the way it fit me and got so many compliments. The one complaint I would have is that the strap on the arm doesn't stay up very well. Overall though - loved it!

Great look - the sleeve didn't stay up like the picture but was a very neat dress that covered up flaws and I felt great it in - I did end up going to a 12 and I normally wear a size 10. I rented this dress for a wedding and hoped it would work for my 6 month pregnant belly. The dress was so slimming and classy, everyone thought it was stunning! It definitely ran a little small and on the short side. I am 5'1 and the 2P was way too short. The fabric was thick and didn't show the wrong curves. Overall, a beautiful dress for any nice occasion!

It is stretchy so it runs a bit big. It takes a while to figure the straps out so be patient. :-) Very simple once figured out. RTR actually shipped the dress two days early! Great customer service.

I ordered the 4 and was worried I may need a 6. However, the 4 fit fine, but was a little large. I had to tug on the dress at times as it felt like it was falling down. I would have been curious to see if the 2 would have fit better. The dress itself was stunning and I got a lot of complements. It's sexy but not vulgar.

Wore this dress to a wedding. I received numerous compliments. The fabric wears well, and doesn't wrinkle. The dress is fairly heavy, so I did have to pull it up throughout the night, as the straps almost seemed to stretch out a bit under the weight of the dress. It's figure-flattering and comfortable. Boning in the bodice helps provide support. It fit true to size for me. Loved it!

PRO: This dress accentuates the right curves and hides the stuff we don't want to show ;) - Be prepared, you will turn heads. CON: I had to safety pin the cap sleeves to make the dress fit tighter on my bust because the front of the dress kept coming down. Also, the zipper part of the dress kept twisting and the side poked out a little due to the zipper bunching up. I found myself going to the ladies room several times throughout the night to twist my dress back around lol. Other than the above cons, the dress fit like a glove but hid the imperfections - and that's a plus in my book! SIDENOTE: I paired this with the Dress Me Up Bracelet and the Silver Southern Plantation Earrings (pictured) and I loved this combo!

Gorgeous dress- as with most badgley mischka, it runs pretty long, so i'd say a Regular versus Long will work best for most people!

This dress can fit any body shape and can be a simple elegant black dress with major appeal if dressed up with a clutch and earrings

This dress is beautiful and high quality! I got tons of compliments. Everyone kept calling me Hollywood. One guy asked where I got it and I told him it was a rental and he said to go buy it immediately. Straps fall down a bit but that didn't bother me, but if you don't want to fuss with them it may not be your thing. The long was perfect with 4 inch heels. Very comfortable and easy to dance in. Great experience with RTR and I'll definitely rent again!

This dress is perfect for any formal affair. I wore it to a black tie wedding and get tons of complements. The fabrics has a bit of give so you can bust a move on the dance floor.

I am really tall and the long was perfect! I usually have to wear a 4 in long dresses to accommodate my height. I even wore heals and it still looked great. The only problem was the bust. I'm pretty flat and it kept falling off, even with a bra. The material was awesome and would look great on any body type.

It flattered beautifully, and the interesting straps added just enough style to take the dress from simple to elegant.
