Was late to plans bc ppl kept stopping me
I was very excited to wear this blazer to work, knew immediately how I’d style it, but I didn’t think this was the best fit I’ve ever assembled. But I kid you not, I got compliments every where I went. Literally seven people in a row at Sephora, enough that multiple times, whoever had last complimented me started laughing and answering for me “everyone is stopping her.” I was late to drinks with a friend because of how many people stopped me. Two girls in line googled the brand to try and rent or buy later. It feels like a nice elevated staple, but people went nuts for it. Idk what to say. Also, relatively light weight, was comfortable in a mid 80s day in DC.

Never Let Me Go
Oh man I want to own this jacket. Pieces like this are why I have RTR. Several of my friends decided to try RTR after seeing me in this jacket. It is so warm, so chic, makes every outfit. I might have to go somewhere cold for summer vacation so I can keep wearing it (kidding?). Also it's vegan but you'd never know it. Only "cons," which are easily outweighed by the pros: Be aware that it is very heavy, and bc it is a little oversized, it is very hard to keep a bag on your shoulder.

Flattering. Comfortable. Supportive.
Ok legit obsessed with this. Most flattering top I've worn in a while. I often am a xs/2 in tops, but I'm glad I got the small. Gave me so much support (I'm a c/d and didn't wear a bra) without pinching any of the upper back muscle/fat under my arms which can happen with a tight top that lifts (like a bustier would cause). I have rented (and then kept) another ALC knit (the pale purple square neck tank that also comes in black) and this provides even more lift AND flex.

Gorgeous but big
Loved these. Versatile (good for work or play, with light or dark colors), thick but somewhat breathable (never overheated), nice amount of stretch/movement but didn't get stretched out, lovely texture, nice milky tan color. I'm between a 4 and 6, and probably could have size down (these were HUGE on my waist, and the waist tie didn't do much to keep them up... also bunched up the waist band underneath), but in a light color, I did not want them to be too tight.

Easy to dress down
Paired w a black faux leather moto jacket (and a mask, duh!) for fun transition weather flirty/tough juxtaposition for socially distant bday drinks. Wanted something slinky & versatile. Works well w a stick-on backless bra (did not see the cups) but also fine w/o a bra b/c the top is so drapey. Only minor issue -- would want to take the waist in if I owned it, but fine for a rental! Also a little longer than I like. FYI I've had issues with fit on other Acler items, but this was totally fine.

Cute but just ok
Fabric is kind of cushiony rather than gauzy. It's definitely light, but I think would have been better as a linen perhaps. it's almost too soft, kind of flattens out from it's own weight, which made it a little boxy. More rigidity in the fabric may have helped. Either way, it's cute and easy and stayed up. I'd prob do an XS next time though.

Go-to for all occasions
Easy to dress up or down. This has become one of my go to items and repeat rentals. It does wrinkle relatively easily, but they relax a bit just from walking around and it comes out quickly from shower steam... Wish it was slightly more A-line. I wear it lower on my hips than the model. Size 2 prob would have been better for my waist, but not for my hips. Also means even at 5'8" it hits lower on my legs than I'd want, but nbd. That being said, it's an easy and flattering fit and lovely color.

Perfect skirt
Such a great and flattering fit. Wrap is more kilt like than a full wrap, which means less bulk from multiple layers. A little see through in the back, but fine with eh neutral colored undies. Doesn't wrinkle all that easily--thin and silky material, but a little crepe-y, so holds up. Great yellow. I'm a person who loves yellow but doesn't have the right skin tone for mustard. This somehow works beautifully--still saturated but kind of soft, like it's ochre based but with a little cream?

Comfortable, cute, so-so fit
I had a lot of extra room in the waist and extra fabric on the chest on either side of the straps, like it had been stretched out. But fit my hips and thighs well and was borderline for my long torso (but fine, no wedgies unless I really stretched my arms up) so I wouldn't want to size down. Fabric has a little stretch, not much, but it's cut to be roomy. Not a blockbuster piece, but it's what I needed: something cute, comfortable, lightweight, and easy for home and hot/humid summer errands.

Lovely, lady-like, but still interesting
I had originally rented this for the office but 1) even at 5'8" and in high heels, it is way longer than I expected, and 2) my office closed down for coronavirus right after. So I ended up wearing it for an Easter brunch my roommates and I threw for ourselves. As I said, it's fairly longer than expected, and I think would be more flattering if the hem fell a couple inches higher, but the fit is lovely, color is gorgeously saturated, nice and thick material that hangs maybe a little too heavy.

The cut is so weird. Arm holes are big but sewn in a way that you cannot lift your arms without lifting the entire top up and opening the wrap-effect chest up to completely expose your chest. So uncomfortable and not even remotely functional. I said runs small b/c of my inability to move properly, but it was weirdly big in other areas.

Sad fit, color, everything
It honestly looked gross in person and gross on. I don't know if it's a quality issue (overworn, improperly dry cleaned) or a make issue. It was saggy where it should cling, looked stretched out in a lot of areas, a sad color -- should have been a form fitting layering staple, but it's not.

Work skirt with flare
Wanted something fun that I could wear to work to spruce up plain pieces and that could transition well to all my work holiday parties. Only complaint: this I NOT lined, insane for a designer of this caliber, so it's a little see through on the white panels. Being thin and unlined, it was also not a good weight winter. Sizing wise: fits true to form, borderline small in the waist because there is absolutely no give. I'm a 25.5-26" waist with 38-39" hips, so this is a good cut for me.

Odd fit in the chest
I really wanted to love this. If you are smaller up top this could work for you, but with my bustier chest, the asymmetrical arms/neckline just didn't work. I switched to a strapless bra to see if that would help and you could see the bottom of it through the cutouts on the side.

Cute but fussy
Cute bag and I got a lot of compliments but it's not super functional. The opening is really small and surprisingly hard to slip your hand/things in and out of. The decorative / hand strap kept coming unclipped when I was walking around with it on my shoulder. And it's such a slippery patent leather that the strap did not want to stay on my shoulder.

Fancy 30th birthday dinner
This top looked amazing on me and was so special. I paired with with a muted metallic a-line skirt and a pair of embroidered mules, and joked that I looked like renaissance Barbie the whole night. It was a little big on me, but mostly fit true to size. Docking this some starts because it was very very itchy in the arms. It's been weeks since I wore it and I still have chafe marks around my biceps!!! Was not even tight, the fabric may just have been worn through because it was fine in the bodice.

Very comfy but chic work pant
Loved the material. Wrinkle resistant, thick, and high quality, but had a lot of stretch so they were super comfortable. I seriously wish all my work pants were made from this textile. I generally size up from my dress size of 4 to a 6 in pants. These fit true to size, which means on an hour glass figure like mine these were great in the legs and hips but loose on my waist. Only giving a 4 because the cut is a little wider at the ankles than I expected, making a bit of a flare.

Great staple
Loved this skirt and got a lot of compliments. It's often hard to find good a-line midis that have minimal volume, and I appreciated that with the drape effect in the front and pattern, the cut kept it sleek when it could have been frumpy. This fits pretty true to size, maybe runs big. I have wide hips and a really small waist so even a-line cuts can cling to my hips/thighs and droop on my waist. Only gave it a 4 because the gauzy material is a little too thin and wrinkle and pill prone.

Too much fabric for me
Note this is UK sizing so a US 4. I got this dress as a backup in case I was having a bad bloat day... definitely a lot of extra room. Too much fabric for me. Added volume to my hips and lower abdomen, and way too much volume around the shoulders--thought it was a weird choice to have two thick layers of ruffles around the top but cut it for just part of the back. I still gave this four stars because it's well made and could be great on others. Just not good for my body type and not my style.

Light fabric but still looks sharp
Wore this for a black tie optional wedding. Moved really well, got lots of compliments. Great balance of formal but interesting and flirty. Paired with some oversized Lele Sadoughi earrings and simple pointy toes heels. A little but billowy in the torso like puffy in sections like they didn't cut the fabric perfectly in the torso, but still loved.

Rooftop wedding in NYC in July
Fits well -- perhaps runs slightly big on top (had some gaps around my waist), but did a pretty good job of staying up. I'm 5'8" and was surprised by how low on my leg the dress hit. Lots of compliments. I felt slightly self conscious about the cutout, but it's a NYC rooftop in July -- I needed something breathable! Overall, the rest of the dress is pretty demur. Always disappointed by the state RTR's clothes are in -- it's a casual cotton and came EXTREMELY wrinkled. The edges of each ruffle layer were curled up and I spent a good hour ironing it out to only some level of success. It's a great dress, but in that fabric, looks very casual unless it's crisp. It also had a couple of stains. I had another backup style that did not fit well -- but also was held together by a SAFETY PIN! RTR should be sending properly laundered and pressed clothes out!!!

Weird cut
Such a weird cut. It's a faux wrap, so while the outer layer is roomy in the hips, there's a pointless liner inside that in both the 4 and 6 I couldn't fully pull down over my hips. I'm usually a 2/4 in tops, a solid 4 in dresses and a 6 in pants. Also longer than I expected.

NYC summer wedding on the Hudson River
I wore this with a pair of ankle wrap flats. At 5'8" it was easy to walk around in this in flats, but I lifted for stairs etc. The material is pretty light and relatively breathable so I was very comfortable and had so much fun dancing in this dress. I'm much smaller in my waist than my hips...tend to wear a 6-8 in jeans, 2-4 in fit and flare dresses like this, and 4 for tops/jackets/blazers. I'm a 34D and didn't feel busty in this at all. There was enough flexibility with the ties under the bust that I didn't have any visible skin where others may have styled this dress for more of a cut out effect. Only reason it's 4 not 5 stars: was a bit thread bare in some spots and buttons came undone as I walked a couple of times.
