Reminder -- just in case you're like me and haven't worn light grey silk in a minute... when it gets wet, it turns dark gray. So don't sweat in it. The fabric is lovely and in a normal 72 degree room you are probably going to be fine. If you're trying to rock it on a hot summer day... think twice.

The dress has breast pads which gave me nice support along with the construction of the dress. The dress has a lot of purple in it which was a nice surprise too. The dress may look like "a lot". It is. Wear it anyway. :)

Waist fits true to size. Fold over the middle button holes (one in line, one is placed a few inches in to the body of the shirt) to get the top to lay right. You'll see what I mean when you get the dress. Top fits loose. Bottom feels like Taylor Swift's TTPD concert dress and I love it.

Absolute Stunner
Rent this if you're going for the "elegant smoke show" vibe... and who isn't. :) This dress has no elasticity/no give. But you're going to look absolutely amazing. It came in a little short for me, so I bought a silky skirt off amazon to "cheat" the bottom and make it look longer. Worked like a charm.

I rented the “FIFTEEN Twenty front slit pants” (blue faux leather pants) with this because it’s so short. Absolutely a match. The color is close enough to call it an outfit - not too close to be indistinguishable. Excellent combination of textures. I’m a 33” waist and 42” hip. Rented size 12 in both and it was great.

For size 12, the boobs are wrong
If you’re 160-175lbs and A-cup with your boobs sitting as close to one another like binoculars on the front of your chest, this will fit you and look smashing. If not, don’t bother. The construction of the underwire corset is anatomically incorrect. This fit my shoulders, ribs, waist, booty and thighs, but the boobs were comically bad design and execution. I’m a 36D. It’s like they took a size 6 and just added more fabric everywhere else. If you’re looking for a wonderful size 12 jumpsuit, look for the black Amanda Upchard with the brocade pattern and “V” at the chest. Rented it. Loved it. Amanda knows how to handle the ta-tas. Or, checkout “House of CB” British brand that knows corset tops and corset dresses.

This dress is as amazing as it looks, but the waist has no give. 12R (barely) fits 33 1/2" waist. I could breathe, and nothing bulged, but it was tight - movement was limited.

Lay it out on the floor and it won't be tricky
At first, yes, this dress is confusing, but once you figure it out you realize Arias NY is genius. Lay it out on the floor first so you understand what fabric goes in what direction. This dress is absolutely outstanding. It hid the bits I wanted hidden without looking like a bag. Incredible fabric. Sexy and sophisticated. One of the best rentals I've ever had with RTR and I've been a subscriber for about 10 months. Would have purchased if I had more places to wear it. Recipe for success: Size rented: 14 Bra worn? Nope. (and no one could tell - did wear "yoob" covers - proud member of the perfect breast community) My measurements: bust 40", waist 35", hip 45", height 5'5" Shoes: 3.5" heels

This skirt is one of my favorite rentals. Outstanding fabric and construction. It's flowy without adding bulk. You can dress it up or down and it sat high on my waist, accentuating my narrowest part of my trunk. Loved it. Almost bought it.

Comfortable - a bit matronly
This dress is incredibly comfortable and the fabric is wonderful. Another reviewer said it was a little matronly and I agree. Due to the waist and end of the sleeves hitting at the same place, the line ends up being strange. I still wore it. The fabric won me over.

My body: I’m 185-190lbs, hourglass shape. 38D, postpartum bod. 5’4”. Bust 42” with bra. Waist 35”. Hip 44”. Fit: absolutely outstanding. Quality: The fabric of this dress is just incredible. It’s soft and lightweight without being too warm or too cold. The slit is higher than I was comfortable with so I supported with a carefully placed safety pin that wouldn’t damage the delicate fabric. The fabric is opaque in the body of the dress and very forgiving. The waist hit perfectly on me and made the dress appear slimming because it floats sweetly (yes, float is the right word here). Highly recommend. Excellent choice RTR reps/buyers!

Lots of fabric but great style
My body: I’m 185-190lbs, hourglass shape. 38D, postpartum bod. 5’4”. Bust 42” with the bra I’m wearing in this photo. Waist 35”. Hip 44”. Styled this with a thick belt, moto boots and a jacket from Target. The look was great, and I felt great. This style is incredibly comfortable. It is a lot of fabric, but that just takes an extra minute to gather when you go to the bathroom. It falls nicely and has good movement.

Very comfortable.
On color - it's not purple, but it appears to be at a distance. Actual colors are light blue, maroon, pink and dark blue. It's lovely, comfortable, and the pockets were just the right size - deep enough for a mobile phone. Very comfortable - the kind you forget you're wearing.

Not great for arms that lift
I’m 5’4, 185lbs and my mom weight is spread evenly over my body. My arms and shoulders have always been muscular, and this jacket doesn’t accommodate my biceps and shoulders well. I can wear it, but it’s not awesome and range of motion is restricted. Due to this misfit, there is no structure to the shoulder and it rounds me out, making me look like the robot aliens from the Fifth Element (gen Z, Google it). Not the vintage I was going for.
