The fit is true to size, and was flattering to my figure. It looks great paired with a white or black blazer if you'd like to wear this to work or some other event where you want to look more chic but covered up. It looks absolutely "hot" and "sexy" without a blazer, if you want to wow people and make a chic statement at a party or similar event at night. The fabric is thick and the quality of the cloth is good. I recommend a strapless bra that sticks on. This seemed to work better than a regular strapless bra, which easily started to show at the top when I moved around. My only qualm is the length. I am very tall, and the pants ended just above my ankles. It ended up looking cute, since I wore a sheer black stocking underneath my pants, with black heels.

I loved this dress for my formal engagement photos! It's gorgeous for a whimsical princess romantic shoot. It came with the tulle layers crumpled and I found out too little too late as I was scrambling to get ready, so make sure you pull that dress out and steam it and straighten each tulle layer in advance so it lays right. The dress doesn't lay as ideal on me in some of these photos as a result. And the dress rides up and creates lots of rolls on the bodice so just...keep pulling it down snug. The dress runs small so size down for your backup size. I wear a 6 and wore a 4 long (I am 5'9"- loved that this came in long or regular!)

I wore this dress to my company's holiday party at a winery. I am a size 6, but the size M was a tad too boxy looking on me. I lack curves as it is. I sized down to the size S, and it was a much more flattering fit. I would suggest sizing down for your free back-up size. As other reviewers have stated, many of the sequins will flip over to the wrong side during shipment. I had to take tweezers and individually flip them all back to the ride side. It took 45 minutes to an hour to do that, and I wasn't thrilled. It wasn't the end of the world, though.. Luckily the sequins stayed put as I wore the dress throughout the evening, including when I sat down to dinner. And everyone really liked it, I got a lot of compliments, and it all worked out. Sorry for the bathroom mirror shots. I didn't take photos at the event, so I snapped a few afterwards for this review on RTR.

This dress is extremely flattering. It's the "little black dress", with the addition of a multi-color shimmery embroidery up top for that "something extra". The fabric is of good thick quality, and the skirt has stretch to hug and flatter your figure. I wish I could give this dress a 5 star rating, however the zipper jammed at the faux leather waistband when I tried it on the night before my event. I couldn't get out of the dress no matter what my boyfriend and I tried. We had to get RTR's permission to rip apart and break the zipper so I could escape out of the dress. RTR was extremely apologetic and helpful. They refunded me for the rental price of the dress, and gave me a promo code for a discount on my next rental. This was my back-up style. Although I liked it best and was bummed I couldn't wear it to my event, I was able to wear my first choice to the party and got plenty of compliments on that, so it all worked out!
