Sexy and bright
I did not end up wearing this dress because the event I was attending was with work colleagues and I felt this might be too much cleavage for that type of situation. However, the dress fit great and I loved the look. I am only taking off a star because of the lining on the inside of the dress -- it was a bit short for my liking and I am not tall at all so this is something a taller person should definitely keep in mind. It is more of a miniskirt length under the sheer layer. I would rent this again for perhaps a wedding or an anniversary/occasion with my spouse.

Roomy and flattering!
I loved this dress from the moment I unpacked it. Once on, I did notice that it was a bit roomy and larger than expected. It was my backup dress so I did not have time to order as a replacement a size down but I would recommend a size down as the backup size if this is your primary dress. A couple notes for petites: the length is awesome (I wore a small wedge heel maybe 1") but the torso is a bit long so expect some side boob. Nothing terrible -- I wore it to a formal affair with work colleagues just fine. Just something to note. I got compliments all night! Loved the print and the drape!

Torso too long for petites
I was excited to rent this dress because formal gowns for a petite frame can be really tricky. The length of this dress was great for a black tie affair however the top piece with the shoulder was a bit loose. I did not end up wearing this dress after I fell in love with a backup dress which I requested after noticing the boning in the bodice was a bit uncomfortable for my taste. I also did not love how the fabric draped in a way that seemed "inside out" in front. I understand the cascade look but I wasn't expecting the fabric to look so different in person.

Statement-y without being too much
Wore these to a formal event I attended with colleagues. I wanted a statement earring without being too flashy or long. These were great. When I placed the order, I thought they were actually a tiny bit longer which would have been ok too. They weren't as bright as I was expecting though so I took off a star.

Odd fit for wide hips
The dress itself is lovely it just didnt fit me right. I have wide hips and a big butt and the back of the dress came up way too high for a family function!

Texture surprises!
What I really loved about about this dress were the different textures. The top is a Sleek Fabric and then the bottom has like a lace overlay. The different textures were not obvious based on the model photographs. Also note that the color of the dress is a purple plum-- took this photo in the sun to show how purple it really is. Additionally, the peplum is very flattering for an hourglass figure. This dress perfectly hid a little postpartum "pooch" that I still have going on. This dress is not very stretchy but hugs your curves nevertheless!

Runner up
This dress was the backup dress but I actually almost wore it. I felt it was super flattering for my hourglass figure. The only downside was that the length was a little off because I am so short. Please note that the fabric itself is very stretchy however the waist has a seam which is less forgiving than the rest of the dress. Also, the comments about the fabric being a little itchy are true although I really didn't mind. The only reason I didn't wear this dress is because I loved the other one more!

stretchy and comfortable
dress was very comfortable -- wore it all day and night. the fabric is on the heavier side so definitely not a dress for the middle of the summer. i rented this for a fall garden party and it was perfect. from a fit perspective, did not love the boob gape which left those horrible little armpit pockets visible but with a black body shaper it was okay. also had to wear shorts underneath as the dress is very short -- even for me -- which i was not expecting since i am 5'2" so just be aware.

Comfy, sparkly dress
The dress was very comfortable and yes, very sparkly. This is definitely a mini dress, and I am pretty short. Also, the material is very thick, so just an FYI if you plan to wear it in hot weather.

Easy Glam (plus pockets!!)
The two best features of this dress: the pockets and the faux statement necklace. It was definitely a conversation starter and many people asked me where I got the dress. I also found that it was a good compromise for a wedding where some were in cocktail attire and some were in gowns. Also, the 4 definitely fit snugly, but I feel like you want that because the top piece should look like your skin from a distance. The good news is that it is fitted high on the waist so there is room for wedding food and drink should you expand a size or two!!! In addition, I was able to dance and everything, no problem. Last note, the color is more pink-y than the model, which looked orange-y to me.

Light Bling
I was fearful that the earrings might be too big and too heavy when I rented them, but I wanted something to pair nicely with the carroll bracelet so I went for the dakota earrings. I am glad that I did. The earrings were smaller than expected but in a good way. Also, they were not heavy.

Perfect Match
I paired the carroll bracelet with the dakota earrings and it was a perfect match -- not only to the earrings but for my dress which had a sewn in detail that looked like a statement necklace from afar. I thought it would be "too much bling" but in the end it was all good.

backup dress; too big
I went with the 6 for this backup dress but it turned out to be too loose in the waist. If you have an hourglass figure, size down. The 4 probably would have fit much nicer. I still probably would not have been able to wear it though because the R was too long for the shoes I planned for. I am not sure if they sent me the L by mistake but no matter -- RTR delivers same day in NYC so I got lucky and placed a new order in time for my event!

color on the model is misleading
The dress is actually a deeper blue. I am normally a 6 in pants and after chatting with a specialist she advised I size up vs down because of the fit on the hips. I am normally a 4 in dresses if they only cinch at the waist. Anyway, the fit around the hips was snug but the middle section was a little loose. I could have gotten away with it but I did a swap instead. Thank goodness RTR delivers same day in NYC!

jazzed up my simple gown
I selected a plain black gown to wear to a formal affair and I wanted the accessories to make the look memorable. This bangle set totally gets the job done but because my wrists are on the smaller side, I did find them to hang too loosely. I couldn't relax my hand at my side completely or they would have fallen off. Otherwise -- great statement piece.

classic formal gown
This gown is totally classic -- you cannot go wrong. I got away with the size 4 because the dress is fitted on the upper part of the waist so there was plenty of room for the pooch and the hips that normally make me a 6 in pants. This gown is understated and classy -- would def rec for any formal affair particularly if you want to be sure the neckline will stay in place during dinner/dancing. I always worry about having to adjust my gown throughout the night but this one totally keeps you in place and doesn't require a big adjustment. Also, the slit is subtle and not too high... just perfect!

big without being tacky
I did not anticipate these earrings would be this big and I missed the fact that they are clip on -- but I am very glad I got them! The clip on actually makes them feel much lighter. Even though the actual earring is bigger than I thought they were not too flashy or tacky. I wore them to a fundraiser gala and got plenty of compliments. Of course -- I told everyone to RTR and check it out for themselves!

High Maintenance
The opening along the front looks way smaller on the model. I would advise against renting this dress if you are bigger than a C cup size. I barely made it. FASHION TAPE IS A MUST. Once I had enough in place I was okay if I stood up perfectly straight. Every time I sat down and got back up though I had to make sure my girls were still in place. Sitting at the table to eat was a little awkward because if your posture isn't perfect, it is a free show. I definitely got compliments but don't know if it was ultimately worth being so conscious of my dress throughout the night. I was fidgeting constantly like when you wear a strapless dress and pull it up all night.

Lightweight Statement Earrings
These earrings were not to heavy and moved well with me all night. The good news is they photograph well because they catch the light. The not-so-good news is that in person they are not as sparkly. They almost look vintage. They also can get caught in your hair if you have fine hair like me.
