Very heavy material and meant to fit tightly.
This was my free birthday rental (with my pro membership). I picked it b/c it seemed like a fun pattern for my birthday dinner date in mid-summer. I ordered a medium and large, even though I would normally be a S/M, based on the reviews. The medium was damaged by the previous renter, so RTR sent me (they called me to discuss first) the medium in the same dress but the navy and red color, and the large in this blue and white that I originally ordered. The material of the dress was so heavy, the darker navy/red seemed out of place for summer. I was able to wear the large (at 5'5" and 120 lbs). The large wasn't sucking me in like other reviews describe, but it fit. The medium was a better fit for me....and my guess is that I may or may not have been able to squeeze into a small without ripping it or being uncomfortable. It was a cute dress, nothing stunning, in my opinion. I wouldn't go for this type of material again during the summer.

Perfect to accessorize a simple dress.
I wore this to a work related banquet with what was nothing more than a simple and classic black sleeveless work dress. I wore the dress to work that day, but added this necklace and a pair of red heels for the post-workday event. It was perfect, and since the dress neckline was high, one woman who commented on it thought the beading was part of the dress. The next night I wore it with a kind of casual black cotton strapless shirt and jeans, and it was perfect to jazz up that outfit too! It could be formal too. I think this could even be a great statement necklace for a bride!

Nice short winter dress.
I wore this to a work award dinner/party. It was a great choice to cover "winter arms" and get a little more coverage for a late winter event. I rented both the small and medum. They both fit, but I wore the small. The lace fabric on the arms and back was soft, and the solid black material was on the thick side with a good amount of stretch. I wore it with sheer off-black panty hose, black high heeled leather boots, and some Kenneth Jay turquoise drop earrings. The earrings (not on yet in the picture) were a nice pop of color, which the dress as I wore it needed.

Gold design on front looks better in person than in photos.
Super pretty gold pattern on the front that looks much better and is more noticeable in real life than in photos. I rented this as a back up dress for a semi-formal work function, but ended up wearing another dress I rented and let a co-worker borrow this one. (We are the same height/weight.) It is super tight and form fitting. It pulls overhead and has no zipper. The fabric reminded me of a wet-suit, but thinner. It is tight but will really pull you in.

Look great, but very heavy.
I wore these with a black outfit (short black dress with lace sleeves, sheer black panty hose, and black knee-high heeled boots.) They added a perfect pop of color and were great no-neckace earrings...but they were so heavy my holes were black and blue and bleeding at the end of the night. If you regularly wear earrings bigger than studs, the weight may be okay for you. But I typically wear no earrings, and when I do, I usually wear studs.
