At 5'6" even my highest heels still couldn't offset the high waisted feature. If you are taller and can show a little more ankle, they would be gorgeous. If you are shorter and could wear them as a regular pant, it would be a cute peekaboo situation with the split ham.

I wouldn't say it runs big because it's supposed to be big, but it's great for layering. It's a little itchy, so wear a long sleeve turtleneck under it if you can. Great with that and leggings
