This dress is a pretty blue hue, but the soft, yet heavy, blue jersey material hung much too drape-like for me. I am pretty narrow throughout my mid section, lacking larger hips or a booty, so the dress itself just swallowed me up. If you are thinking of renting, I would considered getting a size, or even two sizes smaller than you usually would.

I wore this dress for a holiday ball, and it was ABSOLUTELY stunning! the purple hue of the dress was an perfect unsuspected holiday tone, and the slit up the leg gave just the right amount of sexy, while still being classy for the more mature crowd. I would rent it again this year for the same event if I could! Maybe bring a safety pin to just fasten the velvet belt a little stronger.

I LOVED the color of this dress! The length was short, but very flattering. The crossed fabric in the laid very flat, so if you are trying to hide some tummy this might not be the best dress. My only two complaints are that the fabric does appear almost polyester-like in person, so be wary if you are planning to wear this to a formal affair. Second, the fabric on the neckline starts above the armpits, and then is also high and straight across the back which made for an unusual shape.
