Bleck
I agree with the previous review; smocking around the waist adds bulk, causing me to look biggest around the middle. Unflattering, adds ten pounds, and soooo short (I'm 5'3"). Wore it for the day and felt unattractive and uncomfortable.

Short and sweet
I am petite and not very curvy, so my main difficulty is finding things that are form-fitting but in an understated, chic yet casual way. This dress really fit the bill! I got the size 0, and it was extremely tight--though not uncomfortable--in the waist. It was also short but not too short for me (I'm 5'3"). I would have bought this dress if there wasn't still excess fabric in the bust, which created unflattering folds, and the material were a little lighter and more "breathable." Otherwise, I loved it. Grab it fast if you're disappointed by how big some of the other dresses on RTR run!

Casual Valentine's Day beach outfit
Very cute, comfortable romper. I am on the shorter side (5'3") and the 00 worked really well. RTR, please stock more garments that would look good on petite women! I like how there is a built in belt in the back with the extra fabric. Helps to define the waist, loosen or tighten, etc. Not too long, overpowering, or matronly like some of my previous rentals. I docked a star because it's some work to get in and out of where you have to use the restroom. Beware to those who rent it for parties, pub crawls, or in my case, the beach where the beach restrooms aren't the cleanliest.

Cute but insubstantial
I own several Suno silk dresses in this exact cut & style (just a different print) in various sizes, so I knew to order up from my usual size. Suno tends to run small, and in this particular cut, the waistline is higher and tighter so the size 0 dress feels more like a baby doll or empire-waist dress. Going up a size from 0 to 2 means the waist feels more comfortable and the length is good for a petite gal like me, but I don't fill out the dress up top even with a massively padded bra. As others mentioned, the fabric is very thin, and even in SoCal with our temperate winters, I felt the urge to layer with a thicker wool cardigan, obscuring the lovely print. This dress can be dressed up or down, but I like that its casual and good for just about any occasion.

I did not wear this dress out.
This dress was part of my Unlimited subscription order. I've owned a few Tory Burch dresses in the past, and they run pretty true to size. However, this particular dress in the smallest available size (0) was very roomy in the waist and bust. The awkward calf length on my petite frame (5'3", 93 lbs) didn't do me any favors. In a few words: matronly and itchy. Perfect for an older woman. It's a pretty classy dress.

Cozy, casual look for SoCal Winter.
My initial reaction to the over sized "kimono" cardigan wasn't very positive; I thought, the sleeves are itchy; its overpowering, shapeless, blah, etc. But I woke up with a nasty cold, so the two cocktail dresses I got with my Unlimited order wouldn't do. I put this on and paired it with black coated leggings, a ribbed white long sleeve shirt (took away the slight itchiness), suede taupe lace-up booties, and a seventies style floppy hat. Suddenly, I felt really chic and yet totally comfortable. The sweater kept me warm enough to wear it alone, no jacket or coat necessary. I crossed paths with a man at Whole Foods, and he said, "Cute!" So yeah, if a complete stranger compliments ya, you know it's a winner.

Comfy, cute, and casual cognac skirt
This is not a high-waisted skirt. The XS sits on my hip bones and I can turn it around easily. That being said, there's a certain sexiness to such a low slung skirt. The color is perfect for fall. Minus one star because you can tell the leather has been put through the wringer, but some ladies may prefer the more beat up look.

Pretty dress, but couldn't wear because it was huge.
Bummer. I was so excited about this dress, but I couldn't wear it at all. Even though I went with the smallest available dress size (IT 38/US 0), the top half was laughably large on me. I felt like a little girl playing dress up. Women with large breasts may fare better. It was brand new, with tags on everything, and more glittery and "evening" than I expected. I wish there was a US 00 available. Size down!

Romantic, feminine everyday dress!
Ah. I'm a little bohemian and definitely girly at heart, so this ethereal Joie look delighted me more than anything I've rented thus far. When my husband saw me walking around, he actually said, "You look like a floating deity." I paired it with a bright lipstick, knee high boots, and a fur vest. Smashing, really. I knocked down a star because there was a little too much room in the waist, and it was a bit long (I'm only 5'3) so that I actually stepped on the hem a few times (eep!). But overall, Joie does not disappoint. Perfect for day or night. The slits on the side give it a little sex appeal.

Luxury top--good for work or weekday night out.
Thick, expensive, and well-constructed: This Derek Lam peplum top checks all the boxes. However, it was too roomy for me in the bust. I didn't fill it out too well and felt a bit like a little kid playing dress up. Size down!

I got the smallest size (0), and there was still too much material around the middle. Excess fabric + itchy floral material = Matronly Madame. Not a fan.

If you want to have your cake and eat it too, this shift dress makes it possible.
It's a sequined shift dress. Not good for day, and a little too flashy for date night. If I had a museum benefit dinner, I'd imagined this frock would fit the bill quite nicely. I'm in my early thirties and found this style too matronly. It just did nothing for my figure. Still, the length is good, and I can stuff my face and not worry about the dress feeling tight. This is a good cut if you're apple-shaped (I am a slim apple).
