The perfect pink semi-formal dress!
I wore this for a women's health charity event that had some formal outfits, some cocktail outfits, so I tried to go middle-of-the-road and this was PERFECT. The fabric, surprisingly, is really light and much more casual than I thought. There's no stretch but there's definitely room to move. I fit PERFECTLY in the 8R and it was pretty true to size. Also, I am a 34DD and the chest fit perfectly. (and flattered the heck out of me up top!) Also comes with pockets and is super bra friendly - what more could you ask for? The only thing that seemed somewhat odd was the hi/lo wasn't as high in the front as the picture indicates. Winter this summer color up with black and gold shoes/accessories.

Wore this for my friend's 29th birthday on a trolley around the city. This dress is PERFECT just like every other dress Herve has ever made. It hugs in all the right places, the design is SO flattering, and it shows off your boobs in a way that is completely show stopping. If you're looking to rock your curves in all the right aways and show off your assets get this dress. I'm normally a medium and I was able to squeeze into this, but generally Herve runs tight- but that's the point, right? Show it off. SUCH a great dress for the price point.

That slit is a TOTAL SHOW STOPPER
I definitely enjoyed this RTR. The slit was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and flowed amazingly all throughout the night. It was fun to hike up and show the leg off Angelina Jolie style. It made dancing much easier, and I can't say enough about how perfectly it kept its form. The rest of the dress, however, was kind of meh and boring. I tried to make sure every picture I took featured the slit because otherwise it was a little lackluster to me. The fit around the chest was a little tight and there is ZERO give so it's not going to give you that tailored look. I went up a size (usually a 6) to accommodate a 34DD chest. Otherwise the fit was pretty good, considering how structured it is. The neck buttons didn't fit the holes, so fortunately there's a clasp but it makes it look a little cheap/damaged when really, you just can't get the buttons through the holes. Not a huge deal but with my hair up/off to the side, there was a lot of people seeing the neck. I think the best way to sum this dress up is "what you see is what you get." An AMAZING slit detail that is super eye grabbing, but kind of boring everywhere else. That being said, at a wedding, you don't want to make TOO MUCH of a statement so it was appropriate.

Another Elizabeth & James winner!
Wore this little number for a rehearsal dinner and loved it! It was a little plain, but the color popped and I got tons of complements on how well the color went with my red hair, so that's a win! Definitely need a strapless bray with this one because of how it cuts in on the top, but it's so tight that it keeps all your goods in place. Elizabeth & James, I've realized, make just all-around high quality, fun dresses that run small, but do a lot to suck you in everywhere, smooth you out, and make you feel fabulous, even after a huge dinner. Highly recommend, but be sure to size up!

This dress was EVERYTHING.
By far my favorite RTR to date. This dress fit EXACTLY as I wanted it. It was comfortable, figure flattering, and totally stands out in a crowd. I got complements ALLLLLL night and they keep comin in on facebook. The feel and quality of this dress are also absolutely incredible. It didn't wrinkle at all, ZERO static, and the slits in front made it sexy when you're sitting or dancing. I wore 3" heels, am 5'6" and stepped on the dress every time I went up or down stairs. That sucked because the bathrooms at the wedding were up a flight, so needless to say, I took a couple spills haha. But I didn't mind what-so-ever. I probably could have gotten away with a 6P, but not the end of the world. Point is, STOP READING, START RENTING. You will be SO glad you did.

I was not able to wear this dress because it was EXTREMELY large. I am typically a 6, but ordered an 8 (only size available) and I was SWIMMING in it. I should have ordered a 2 and a 4 in this dress. Also, the overall quality was a little underwhelming.

EXCELLENT birthday dress!
This dress is SO MUCH FUN!!! The feathers are freaking beautiful, and as other reviewers pointed out, if you're comfortable getting lots of extra attention and leaving a trail of feathers wherever you go, this is the dress for you! There were some slight issues, in that because these feathers come off so easily, there were some small patches on the back and 1 on the front of missing feathers. It didn't look terrible at all, and I am chill so it didn't bother me, but it was definitely worn. I danced my tush off all night long and this dress kept up! My only beef (reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5) is that it has absolutely no give around the rib cage. It is VERY tight in there and made it hard to breathe when i was sitting down at dinner. This dress DEFINITELY RUNS SMALL. I'm typically a 6 and the 10 fit and was tight in the rib cage so just be aware, SIZE UP FOR SURE. Also, you can't really tell from the pictures, but the top half of the dress is actually a black lace, not solid. Still beautiful, just worth pointing out. Otherwise this is a FANTASTIC dress and I loved wearing it!

Best. Boob. Dress. Ever.
I wore this dress for a surprise party (I thought I was going out to dinner) for my birthday. I'm glad I looked at the other reviews to know that this wasn't just a basic boring dress as the model kind of makes it look; It hugs EVERY curve and is cut SUPER low so you can show off all the cleavage. I am a 34DD and this dress was extremely flattering and bra friendly. It never felt too tight and the hem (not pictured) was absolutely adorable. I ate and drank all night and this stretchy dress grew with my belly throughout the night. I got compliments on it endlessly. I typically wear a 6 but took the advice of reviewers and sized up and double sized up for my backup. I could have worn either, depending on if I was having a fat day or not, but I went with the 8 and it was PERFECT. But the 10 would have been fine, just a little roomier.

What up, hourglass?
I wore this dress for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend and both of us LOVED IT. It hugged every curve, smoothed where things needed to be smoothed, and felt like a million bucks. Elizabeth & James makes such high quality dresses, and I felt super pretty and never did it feel too tight during dinner, sitting down, or anything. The only issue I had was that there was some slight damage with the neck detail. A few of the beads were missing near the back. With my hair down, this wasn't a problem and I'm chill, so it's ok. But otherwise, this dress was perfection. Sizing, be sure to go up at least a size if not 2. I typically wear a 6 and the 10 was perfect.

The perfect dress for Prom at the Planetarium!
The pros: This dress (obviously) photographs INCREDIBLY. It moved SO WELL all night, I had very little static issues (never needed static guard or anything), and it is extremely high quality. Because of sizing restrictions, I ended up with an 8P even though I'm 5'6" but with flats it was hitting the ground EXACTLY as I wanted it to. In heels it just looked too short. The color is SO rich and I got tons of compliments all night (and now all over facebook, everyone keeps asking where I got the dress). The cons: So I wear a 34DD. This dress has the STRANGEST most particular chest area that I would imagine VERY FEW people fit into. This top is made of very stiff/zero flexibility/give fabric, so squeezing in made things difficult for sure, but the strangest part was the darting on either side. They built in some space for boobs on top, but the space sits REALLY high up (like my boobs are NOT low hanging by any means, but I had to physically lift them up INTO this section and they still didn't stay up there). I had a ton of boob spillage underneath the chest section which made the rib cage very tight in this dress. Also, It's not just that the chest placement is high or that it's for smaller chests, its got a PRETTY considerable amount of space up there- so I'd imagine that you really do have to have C cups that sit REALLY high up there in order for this dress to fit perfectly. If the dress were mine I would have tailored it and worn this dress for the rest of my life, but as a rental I squished in as best as I could. Nobody seemed to notice and thank god you cant tell in the pics, but just be aware- I tried a million bras and cups (even sports bras) and nothing worked. As for the rest of the fit, it felt snug all over the top. I'm typically a 6, so I'm glad I had the backup size. But it's beautiful and comfortable and fun, so it was all worth it!!

I was throwing my boyfriend a surprise fiesta birthday party, so I needed something that was going to WOW him and help me stand out, while remaining colorful/festive for the occasion. This dress was PERFECT. It hugged every curve, doesn't require spanx at all, has heavy/durable fabric, and SERIOUSLY the boobs were EPIC. I got so many compliments on this dress, both at the party and from people who saw pics on facebook. It's such a great go-to. The length was also perfect. It never rode up or had any malfunctions. I look forward to my next Herve rental!
