The dress I ordered didn't work so this was my overnighted backup. There wasn't a lot to choose from because it was a last minute 8-day rental (traveled to conference) but I was excited about this dress. I'm a 4 with a backup normally of 2 and the small felt like it was made for me. It's high quality material with its own shape, but it's cut to make yours look amazing. I did wear shapewear underneath to smooth things out and a normal bra. I dressed it up with a beaded clutch and lots of sparkly accessories and shoes but I could easily see this with more subtle accessories for a business dinner that isn't for an occasion. Modest but extremely sexy. The length isn't as flattering on me and my thicker legs and 5'5" body but I couldn't have cared less because everything else was so great. I will say I had trouble lifting my arms over my head. I could fix my hair and face but there was no dancing with my 6'3" husband. Much better suited for anything business related than a wedding.

I probably could have made this dress work because it's lovely, truly. It's modest in length and neckline with a nice surprise lace opening in the back. I'm a size 4 (occasionally a 2) and the 4 fit almost perfectly. My issue with this dress in particular is the tummy area, which was stretched out (I assume it wasn't like this new) and gave the appearance of a gut. I work really hard to keep my stomach as flat as humanly possible and seeing all of the extra material bunching right in an area I'm actually pretty proud of made me unreasonably sad. I have to imagine this dress would be spectacular on curvier women; it truly is a classy dress. I did not wear it and working to get a replacement.

I was super excited to rent this dress for a rehearsal dinner (cocktail attire). It was my first RTR and I read reviews and decided to get a M backup to my S. That was a mistake because the S was too big on the bottom and didn't flatter my figure at all. The dress, fabric and detailing are lovely, but the dress is longer than I thought (it hit almost to my knees and I'm 5'6). I liked this dress but it didn't feel special on me. Perhaps an XS would have worked better.

This dress photographs beautifully and it's true to size. It was a last-minute backup dress for me because the one I rented for a wedding just didn't work. It was a bit worn in that there was a snag in the mesh on one side (barely noticeable), but what really bothered me and kept the last star off my rating is that this dress was worn by gal/s who have more a tummy than I do, so the fabric pooched out rather than staying snug, but only in that area. It wasn't obvious from the way it hung on the hanger, but it was super obvious once I put it on. I don't have shapewear (yet!) so I just sucked in with all my might all night and kept pressing the fabric back. This dress is perfect for ladies who really want to show off their figure but perhaps the specific one I wore should be retired.

I rented this for the High Holidays. Good quality material and looked sharp with a bolero. I'd read reviews that said to size down and that is no joke. I wear a 4 but tried on the backup size 2 first--and it was too big. I had to belt it, but then it bunched up under the belt (you can't see from the photo because I pulled the bunched up area to the back). This is a very forgiving silhouette and I would highly recommend this dress for someone looking to hide any problem areas below the waist. If you are a "straight and narrow" and athletic body type this dress isn't for you. Perhaps if you size down twice and don't have a large chest (I'm a 34C and it fit fine on top; it was the bottom that was the issue).
