This is navy and not black. Hard to tell from pictures. It's a thin sweater but the pattern and style are flattering. Paired with navy pants and green shoe. Many compliments considering how simple this sweater is.

Great dress - long!
Arrived NWT, wore it a few times, complemented every time. It's long. If you have a short torso, this might not fall at the right spot. The length is there, if short, this might drag for you. I wore a fun belt with it to pull it together but it fit like a glove for my height and weight. There are no pockets in the skirt part, but not a big deal.id rent it again.
