Cozy, thick sweater
At first I didn’t think the sweater’s material was that breathable upon trying it on, but I think I was wrong. Because I wore it for multiple days in a row and now thinking about buying it. Got a few compliments while out! Length is perfect on my shorter frame/torso as someone who is 5’2”. XS fit me perfectly. I prefer boxy cuts in sweaters and wear a layer underneath on chilly/windy days to compensate for the roomy factor.

Great transitional season jacket
I love oversized jackets/coats on my 5’3” frame and constantly pull inspiration from Mary Kate and Ashley’s style over the past decade. This was perfect from the color to the zipper details and the cut. The tiniest color deviation from my neutral/black wardrobe. The one thing my mom and friends commented on is that the sleeves are huge. I don’t mind. But something to keep in mind in case you hate the feeling of extra material flapping around your arms. You can cuff the sleeves. The sleeves even have zippers that go what seems like 6” from the cuff. The front panel zippers go all the way up and down; each panel side has two pockets—an upper and lower pocket. I didn’t realize the zippers led to functional pockets. The pockets are awkwardly cut thus smaller than you expect when it’s time to fit things into them, but I can usually toss in my coin purse, hand sanitizer, iPhone Pro, mask, and AirPods just fine across all 4 compartments. The back cinches with inside pulls for definition. This is a heavy-weight/thick cotton, so I can wear it as an outer layer when it’s 50-65° F in NYC — with sweaters closer to 50°. Would I buy this full price? Definitely not. Way out of budget. But more doable with the winter holidays promo on top of RTR’s discounted price.

Good basic jacket
I moved to NYC from SF recently and didn’t want to bust out my Patagonia puff as temperatures dropped, so this was a classier solution for my errand runs. It was more padded and thereby warmer than the Barbour Woodhall Quilted Jacket. Great for throwing over a t-shirt for quick errands or commutes when it’s 40-55° F out. My mom could also fit the size 4. It was more fitted on her but she loved the cinched waist tabs inside the jacket a she prefers a more tailored, fitted look. I either wear a size 4 or 6 in Barbour jackets, and the 4 sufficed here.

Perfect for mother & daughter duo
I wear Barbour jackets in both US size 4 or 6. This was a 4 situation meaning it runs big. I am normally a 00 or 0 in tops/jackets for reference. My mom and I shared the jacket while she was visiting me during the crisp early December (35-50° F) in NYC. She is a size up from me in tops/sweaters and my height. The jacket fit perfectly over her oversized sweaters and turtlenecks s as she braced colder evenings just fine. The outer pockets are the double layer kind where you can put stuff in from the side or the top. Always a good touch. I like that it is a boxy for Barbour as it is more breathable. Way more breathable than their waxed cotton jackets. The collar is dramatic/large, so if you have super narrow shoulders, it might drown you out. I felt that way at times, but my mom said it looked good on me (and she would keep her opinions to herself if she thought otherwise, lol). Anyways, we now own this jacket since we can share it when I’m home over the holidays in mild California.

Awkward fit in the shoulders
The sweater was thick in a rigid way. The shoulders were disproportionately cut to the rest of the sweater. When I tried it on, it was wider than the model photos suggested which makes me wonder if it was washed incorrectly by someone or truly is this awkwardly tapered. I didn’t wear it because the shoulder fit was so off. Bummer.

Waist runs small
I’m surprised the waist was too small for me. I either fit XS or S. It must be down 1-2 sizes in the waistband specifically like other reviewers are suggesting. I mainly wore sweaters that could cover the unbuttoned state or but I could keep it buttoned while standing. Sometimes sitting. But best not push my body in this way. Loved the pants overall. Great fabric. Wish the waistband had give. I’m 5’3” and they didn’t drag on the ground when uncuffed thankfully! The silhouette and pockets made me feel like Kim Possible. My cartoon hero from childhood lol. But not a bad thing because I love pants in this cut. So comfy minus the waist.

Big fan, chic color
Flap closures seemed stiff but I like that it felt more secure in that sense. I’m pretty sure it was brand new so that may be expected for the short term. Loved the color for this fall/early winter and the two compartments that are tastefully designed. I usually dislike bags where you can see the division of compartments (honestly, tough to explain but may resonate with others, ha shrug). Almost kept it if I hadn’t been saving money on refurnishing my space but I do need more color in my bag collection. Will rent again.

Perfect fit
I already know I’m a 25 in this style. Seems TTS for me. Maybe like 0.5-1” of extra give compared to my many Everlane straight leg denim, butI believe that’s intentional with this line. It had the perfect amount of hold in the hips and waist but didn’t seem to get loose after days of wear. I also didn’t have that need to unbutton when bloating or change into loose clothes the minute when I got home. Super comfortable compared to some zero-stretch styles in my straight leg denim collection.

Runs large but soft at least
Lounge wear comfort which is great but the sleeves length, sleeves width, shirt length, and chest were too large. My XS seemed somewhere between a S-M. Probably M as I can usually get away with S blouses/thermal-like tops. Given how the neckline is cut, there was so much potential but in the end too loose. Definitely size down.
