I am 5’6” and I don’t know if the 5’-5’3” girlies would really have a better time with this one, it’s just so short, and I read all the reviews about the puffy crinoline and thought ah, it can’t be that bad surely people are just not used to a little extra volume but it will be fine for *me*. Learn from me and the other reviews that is *is* too short and too puffy. Avail yourself of our mistakes!

This pattern is so beautiful and I got so many compliments the day I wore this in Capri, but yes the straps are too long and kept slipping down and it felt generally an unflattering shape (too wide around the hips?). I didn’t end up wearing it again on my trip

Wore this to a wedding welcome drinks in Italy in July and it was just right. It does run long, I’m 5’6” and wore 1.5-2inch heels and I just got by, it was totally fine. Do your math, and user beware. Tying the straps a little higher up top helps a bit I think. I didn’t wear a bra, and despite being 100% synthetic, the fabric had lovely movement and feel. If you’re on the fence and worried about the reviews like I was, know for me it worked out!

The fabric, folds, and ruffles here are delightful and I don’t usually wear something so orange so it was a treat to get to do— as many have mentioned, the torso fits funny. Not to blame everything on the fit model, but something about the fit model! It’ll fit great around the bust and then then too wide around your torso, that’s just how it’s shaped. Didn’t mind it and still looked beautiful!

I wore this for a black tie wedding on the Amalfi coast and it definitely matched the villa princess castle energy. I’m 5’6” and thought the Long was perfect with my tall heels, but wondered if the M would’ve been more comfortable around my bust (it felt a bit snug). As others have mentioned, the sparkles can irritate your arms a bit, but I thought it was manageable/very tolerable. Beauty is pain, Princess! I should’ve known from my past saloni experiences that their dresses are always very small around the waist/hip/butt. I’m normally between a 0 and 2 in other brands and usually my issue is bust (34B), but that was actually fine here for both the 0 and the 2. A 4 would’ve fit better for my waist/hip/butt and I wish I’d gotten that instead. But otherwise it’s just as pretty as it looks in the picture and can easily work for so many different kinds of parties and events!

Let me just clarify that I loved this dress and loved wear in it! So many compliments as usual with my RTR picks. I felt so torn about sizing given all the reviews — I usually wear a 0 or 2 for gowns and this one is already meant to be billowy/oversized as it is. I ordered the XS and the S and ended up wearing the S. The XS fit perfectly everywhere except the shoulders— so narrow! So I went with the S to give myself more room, and I still felt like the shoulders could’ve been wider…. I also thought the material might be lighter weight given the look of it but it’s actually quite thick. The plus side of this is that I didn’t wear a bra and felt totally covered. Live your sophisticated Barbie dreams!!
