Amazing dress!
I ordered a 16, only 12 was available as a backup. 16 didn’t ship, tried on the 12 for shiggles and it was snug but definitely wearable and this was really the dress I wanted to wear. Must go strapless - racer back straps still showed. The zipper is tough at the gathered spots but it made it.

This was sent as a backup when my preferred dress was not available to ship. Thanks RTR for helping me out - another dress did work! I am a 14/16 top, 16/18 bottom, so usually a true 16 or a 14W fits me great. Based on other reviews, I ordered this as a 16 (not thinking it was really a 16W, because sometimes I think RTR marks any dress larger than a 12 with a W, so it is hard to tell what is a 16 and what is a 16W with any confidence). This dress was HUGE on me. way too big to wear. Also, very long - it does claim to be tea length, so I wasn't surprised it was longer than usual, but it really is a very long dress - I am 5'10 and it was lower-mid calf. Fabric is beautiful. I think if this were my size I would have enjoyed wearing it.

Gorgeous, but needs a belt
I had a different dress planned, but it was unavailable to ship, and RTR noticed I had favorited this dress for the same event, so they sent it along, with a few other backups. It saved the day! I never know when RTR says the size is a 16W or a 14W if it really is a W cut or if it is just plus sized and is really a 14. I typically wear a 14/16 top and 16/18 bottom, so flared size 16 fits fine, and sometimes 14s. 14W usually works, too, but can be loose. So when I see 16W, I worry it will be huge on me. This fit perfectly, so I think it is a true 16, not a 16W. Fabric is nice - heavy but not super heavy. Substantial. Pattern is lovely. My only "ugh" was that the skirt is attached outside the top with a raw edge, which maybe is the style, but I think looks terrible (see photo). Easily solved with a belt (though not the one I would have chosen if I had more time to plan, but it worked). I got a TON of compliments and I felt great all night. It was a smidge shorter than my preference, but it was fine. I just had to be careful not to bend over!

Not enough boob tape in the world.
Sorry for the lack of front photo, but I think the censors would not approve. I ordered a 16, with a 14 as backup. I usually wear a 14/16 on top and a 16/18 on the bottom, so given the flare, this seemed like a reasonable choice. Day before, turns out the 16 won't be available to ship. RTR was wonderful, sent me several backups, etc. Everything worked out. But in case you're interested in this dress specifically... This is the most ridiculously deep V I have ever encountered on a non-coutour dress. I have to assume if I had received the 16 that there would have been enough fabric to allow me to pin it, but with the 14, with everything zipped, it sat very wide open, and there is not enough boob tape in the world to fix what was going on. No way I could wear any bra, bc the V went even lower than a plunge bra would accommodate. Again, if I had the 16, this may not have been an issue. So, be careful about sizing down on this one! Fabric was GORGEOUS. I was so sad this dress didn't work out (but thankfully, another did).

I am 5'10, ~210-215lbs on the average day. I carry my weight in my tummy, for the most part. I tend to be a 14/16 on top and a 16/18 on the bottom. 36G for the bra (if you think you're a 36D at Victoria's Secret, you're not. Go get fitted like the adult you are). I got the 16Lwith the 14L as backup. Length was perfect for me - covered to the ankles, but my feet showing so I could walk and not trip. Could have been an inch longer, but not more. Put on the 16, thought I would wear it. Day of, I thought, you know, the top on this is a little roomy, let me try the 14. So glad I did! The 14 was perfect. Snug on my ribcage, but not loose on top, and the dress cut is forgiving for hips, tummy, etc. I could have gone without a bra, but that's not really my style, and you can wear a real bra with this. I pinned the cleavage a little, but otherwise, no modifications. LOVED IT. Tons of compliments. AND I am glad I didn't get the short gold version, because TWO women at the wedding were already wearing it.
