This dress drew compliments all day. Even better, I felt comfortable, warm, and confident. It is soft and not at all itchy. The knit is a great weight, substantial but breathable. I had not noticed the piping trim in the photos when I reserved it. That detail added an extra touch of class. To make the dress work-appropriate, undergarments are definitely needed. I wore a logo-free black jog bra (to function as a fitted cami) and black compression shorts. Reviewers who comment that the dress is cut to have a low vee in the front are correct. With a regular bra I would not consider it work appropriate. With a jog bra I had the coverage I needed without detracting from the flattering style. I wore the dress on a breezy day. The lower half was quick to fly open in the wind, but with the otherwise invisible compression shorts I wore I felt covered there, too, and, once inside, felt free to cross my legs while seated without worrying about flashing the people I was meeting with. I am long-limbed and short-waisted. I was delighted that the sleeves were just the right length for me. The dress hit a few inches above the knee. I wore it with black suede J. Crew CeCe flats, which worked great with the intarsia knit. I love this dress and would gladly wear it again.

This dress is fantastic. I wore it to a friend's wedding and reception. The wedding was outdoors on a sunny Spring day. I paired it with a light ivory shawl for sun protection and strappy sandals the same color as the dress. The dress was perfect for the occasion. The fit is as comfortable as can be - light, airy fabric, fully adjustable at waist and neckline/shoulders, plenty of room in the hips (I have generous 40" hips). I walked three miles in the dress and did not have to adjust a thing. Its unique, asymmetrical design details are gorgeous, surprising, and flattering. I wish I owned this dress. I would wear it at every reasonable opportunity. A few things to know in advance: the dress is semi-sheer, so it benefits from bra coverage, but straps will show through. I wore a tube bra, and that worked great. The ribbons take some time to adjust and secure properly. Give yourself time before your event and recruit a friend or partner to help you get it just right. I received so many compliments on this dress. It is just beautiful.

I wore this dress to a symphony performance. The dress is beautifully designed, well structured, and comfortable. The fabric is just gorgeous - eye catching and fun. The lining is as soft as can be. The straps have snaps sewn in at the shoulders to secure bra straps in place, making the dress no fuss. It runs large. If I rented again I would go a size down.

This style just wasn't for me. The slip and the lace outer shell both had a tendency to bunch up on my hips, requiring me to pull them back down every few minutes. The dress seemed a bit shopworn as well. I'll note that it does look beautiful in the many pictures others have submitted, and my husband's opinion of it was more positive than mine, so perhaps I am simply more leery of form-hugging styles.

This was a great dress for our new year's eve celebration. It was incredibly easy to wear, with no fuss at all. The vibrant coral color and unusual style stood out in a room full of lacy lbd's. It moved well for dancing. The dress has ample room at the top - more than I needed - and is a little more fitted around the hips. The ten pulled a bit at my hips, so I went with the 12. It was a bit loose at the waist, and in both the 10 and 12 I would say there was too much material above the waist, so that the dress did not provide the most flattering shape, but it was still very attractive. I loved the fabric of both the coral outer layer and the orange chess-board patterned lining and piping (the orange fabric is silky soft).

I think of a class president as pulled together, confident, organized, and in charge, so I hoped this dress might communicate some of those qualities. It may have been an issue of sizing - this was a backup selection, and only the large was available for my event date. It was loose and blousy on top and voluminous around the hips and bottom. With all that fabric above and below, the waist gets lost. The hem falls below the knee, which is a great length for a sheath or a structured cocktail dress, but with this shape it was about four inches too long. I felt more pulled out of shape than pulled together, and the dress did not project the blend of competence and verve I had hoped for, so I did not wear it.

This wrap bracelet is gorgeous. I wore it with Yigal Azrouel's Arcadia gown and fell in love, finding every excuse to wear it before I had to return it. After returning it to RTR, I hunted for it online, and was delighted when a girlfriend gave it to me as a gift. I have worn it dozens of times as a bracelet and as a belt. It is very versatile, adding edgy glamour to all kinds of outfits.

This is a very cool and funky dress of high quality fabric and construction. The fabric has a slight sheen. The print is gorgeous and the cut is flattering. This is a dress to wear when you want to feel energized and young and are ready to be the center of attention. A note on sizing: In Lela Rose I tend to do better with a 12. Unfortunately 12 was not available so I gave the 10 a try. It fit and looked great, but it was snug, and because the hem hits above the knee I worried that it would reveal a good deal of leg when I sat down. I chose not to wear the dress because my occasion called for something a bit more subdued.

I had hoped to wear this dress at a professional conference. The dove grey is lovely and the jacquard pattern is fun and funky. The look of the dress on the model is clean and conservative. This was not the case on me. The stretchy material reminded me of neoprene, and I was surprised to find that both the 10 and 12 hugged my form in such a way as to leave nothing to the imagination. It would not be in my personal or professional best interest to broadcast every inch of my shape to my colleagues, most of whom are men. For these reasons, the fabric and fit did not work for me, and I did not wear the dress. I think it might work better on a more petite, less curvy, and/or slimmer figure.

Love this dress! Super flattering, comfortable, with great movement. Wonderful colors. The dress is lined, so doesn't need a slip. A strapless bra is helpful for support. I wore the large (the medium was not available, so I cannot compare the different sizes). I paired it with a light brown cardigan for the church service and part of the evening, so I tied the belt in the front, to the side. I usually accessorize with abandon, but this dress did not need any additional sparkle. Navy round-toe stilettoes finished the look with elegance and simplicity. The dress was terrific for dancing. I received many compliments.

This dress looks fabulous from the front. I love the color blocking. It's comfortable and easy. Unfortunately, from the side and back the shape was very unflattering on my body, and made me look rather dumpy. I tried both the medium and the large and vetoed both. It seems to have flattered the figures of other reviewers, so it may simply be a mismatch to my shape, which includes a very curvy rear. This was my back up dress and I did not wear it. I was thrilled with the dress I did wear, which was a different BCBG MaxAzria dress (Colorblock Perfection).
