I love the fabric of this dress - it is a beautiful frosty blue with gorgeous gold metallic thread throughout. On the hanger it was stunning. On me - it gave me a pooch around my mid-section. My husband said it looked like there was too much material. Ultimately I think the dress made me look like a little kid. Just wasn't flattering. Did not wear it.

The dress is body conscious yet elegant and conservative - perfect for the political fund-raising gala I attended. I actually received a number of compliments from complete strangers. Was able to wear a black strapless bra and - thanks to slight ruching at the waistline - no spanx was needed. Only complaint is like a lot of Lela Rose dresses it was slightly short-waisted so I did need to pull it down every so often.

Like many others have said, the nude slip works like spanx to shrink and smooth everything. I had my doubts but it is REALLY flattering. The hem line and sleeves are on the long side which is perfect for someone my height. I was concerned the v-neck might be a little revealing for an industry awards event but there was sufficient coverage while still being sexy. I wore a black plunge-front strapless push up bra under the slip. Wish I owned this dress.

I contacted RTR via chat to help choose between the 4 and the 6. Based on other dresses I've worn and my measurements they suggested the 4. Good thing this was my "additional dress for $25" because there is no way I could have worn it - way too tight. I ended up wearing the Nicole Miller Kate Lace V Dress. Side-by-side there is no comparison - the Nicole Miller dress was much prettier and of higher quality.

Added a nice pop of sparkle. No rough edges to snag on a dress or wrap. Fit was fine - no worries about it coming off.

I fit my iPhone, 2 lip glosses, room key, ID, and some cash with room to spare. The closure was very secure so I wasn't worried about it opening unexpectedly. The rounded, elongated shape was compact and seemed more elegant than a typical purse.

These added just the right pop to accompany the LBD I rented. They were on the heavy side - after 7 hours it felt good to take them off. That said, I wish I owned them because of the great sparkle they have.

The dress fit perfectly although it was slightly short-waisted for me (I'm 5'11"). Since the fabric is fairly substantial, I did not need a bra or any special undergarments. As other reviewers have noted, the sleeves do slide down your arms at times - but I wore this dress for about 7 hours and it really wan't an issue. This was my first rental - I had the dress shipped directly to my hotel so I was a bit nervous. Everything went perfectly and I will definitely rent again!
