Is insanely tall inverted triangle a body shape?
I rented this for a party and was really excited about it. I'm an hourglass 14/16 and stand at 5'10", with a long torso. The bust on the 14 was huge and very long, the waist was very large, and the first hip section fit my hip. Was really bummed because the fabric would have been perfect for a 70's theme party. Overall a great idea with very poor execution.

Super cute, but a little too short waisted (the belt is attached so there's no faking it's long enough) and a little too covered up for my taste. Runs true to size to maybe a little large.

Beautiful, but arms run very tight
Would have loved this if it were sleeveless or had balloon sleeves, but, alas, the dress was not designed for women with functioning upper bodies.

Pretty tight on the hips
Very cute, and fits well on long-waisted people. However, the bottom of the dress fits quite small. Suggest going up a size.

Best for the extremely busty
I rented this for NYE and was so disappointed to find that the bust and waist were 4 sizes larger than the hips. The hips run TTS. My chest runs at 34DD and there was at least 4" of extra fabric on each side. Beautiful color, but definitely better suited to very busty women.

Got so many compliments on this at the Houston Zoo Ball. Definitely one of the best dresses there.
Honestly, if you're small-waisted or pear shaped, I would suggest getting this in your usual size and one size down. Overall, a beautiful dress that is understated and elegant.
