Elegant but comfortable
This dress fit well and looked very elegant. Originally when I ordered, I had read that the dress ran short, so I thought I could get away with the long (regular was not available) with 6 inch heels. The long was too long with 6 inch heels, but the length of the regular was perfect on me with the 6 inch heels (I'm 5'3 ish). The dress fit well everywhere except slightly big in the bust area where there is no shoulder strap. It was falling a little and I didn't want to ruin the dress with a safety pin.

Beautiful emerald green sequins and the way it swings when you dance!
I was between a 10 and 12. The 10 actually fit me better and pulled in my waist a bit more. The 12 was a bit loose across the top but otherwise fit nicely. I ended up wearing the 12 for 12 reasons- it was a smidge longer to cover my shoes and gave me a tiny bit of extra room so sitting would be more comfortable. His dress was perfect for a black tie mansion wedding. There is a small train at the back that made it a little difficult when walking down stairs or worrying about people stepping on it dancing. It didn't bother me much though. This dress is fabulous and makes you feel like a million bucks! The sequins are also very forgiving as they hide body imperfections. Overall amazing dress- I would rent again if it wasn't such a memorable dress!

I actually didn't end up using this. It's pretty large and didn't end up going with my outfit.
Large, sparkly... Would go well with an all black plain outfit for a night on the town. I didn't end up using it because it clashed with my dress, but it would go well with an LBD!

Added just the right statement
In the photo, this looks like it is going to be a flat necklace. It is not. It's 3-dimension triangles, so it was bigger than I thought it would be. However, it really makes a statement to an outfit and I loved it! Would definitely rent again.

Didn't end up wearing
I had ordered this for a summer wedding, but found out at the last minute that much of it was going to be outdoors. I decided that this tight-fitting, heavy material dress would not have been appropriate. The dress fit nicely, and it does suck alot in. This dress definitely has appeal, but if you're curvy like me, this dress is better for a girls night out rather than a wedding since it is so form-fitting. The dress was pretty long. I'm 5'2" so I expected it to be-- but it was about 3 inches past my knees. If I had worn it, I think I would've used hem tape to bring it up a few inches. The major con that I saw when I tried this on was that it was a bit hard to walk/move in because its so tight. Some people may not mind that but I just felt too restricted. Overall, this dress could look nice on the right person for the right venue- not an outdoor wedding.

The hardest part is sending it back...
I originally chose a different dress for the summer wedding I attended. When I got it and didn't like the fit of it, I immediately contacted RTR and I chose this dress instead. I took a risk in that I got the dress the day of the event. However, I was SO HAPPY I exchanged and got the dress. First of all, the material and color of the dress is beautiful. It's a light purple with darker purple circles. The fabric is a nice, heavy silk type, but PERFECT for a summer wedding. The fit was great. I especially loved the V-back of the dress. You can wear a regular bra with this dress, and it has POCKETS. What could be better? I wore this dress with the statement Tribal Necklace and used a gold DVF clutch purse. This is a dress I definitely did not want to return.

the color of this dress...
Overall, this dress is a beautiful color and fit. I wore it with the Kate Spade confetti necklace for an extra pop of color on top. The material is a nice, light chiffon, perfect for a summer wedding. The fit is true to size, but as some other people have said the zipper is REALLY hard to do by yourself, you really need a second person to zip it up because it sticks. The only con to this dress is that its REALLY long. I'm about 5'2" and I wore it with 4 inch heels, and it was still too long. I tried to use hem tape and a few safety pins to make it shorter but the hem tape doesnt stick to the chiffon very well. So really, unless you can get the petite length or you're tall enough, don't get this dress- it will be a pain!
