I could have gone down a size, but didn't need to My mom's: 5'4", 115lbs, 36B, 27" waist and the XSR fit her perfectly! I wanted to keep this dress, or at least wear it for myself! At my graduation, my mom stole the show in this incredibly elegant, yet fun and stylish dress! Pros: - flattering! - great cut and style - super impressive quality fabric! - doesn't wrinkle easily - the size is forgiving and can fit people with slight variations, works for both short and tall people - probably don't need a bra Cons: - somewhat heavy if you need for hot weather, but because it is lined so well, will likely not show sweat even if you're dripping - the middle seam can be difficult to get un-wrinkled if creases come upon arrival - didn't want to give it back! Summary: This dress could work for so many people, so many body types on so many occasions. It appears and feels very high end and is very flattering. It is heavy in thickness, but not on your body and won't show sweat even if you feel hot because of all the layers.

I LOVED this dress! It was a unique material, cut and color combo. It felt retro and modern at the same time. However, there were some issues. See below for details on fit and style. My details: 5' 8", 120lbs, 34C/D, 26" waist and the size 4 was too big My mom's: 5' 4", 115lbs, 36B, 27" waist, size 4 was too small Cons: - as you can see above, the specifics of your body can change the dress from fitting perfectly to not at all - the zipper is cheap and gets stuck easily. It took my mom (with 2 people helping her) 10 minutes to get into the dress and 10 minutes to get out of it because of the cheap zipper - Tightness in the ribcage does not work for people with broad torsos BUT it helps to support people with smaller ribcages and larger breasts, as it can be worn without a bra if it fits tightly enough - cut around stomach is not forgiving and not flattering if you are bloated or feel the need to suck in your stomach - straps need to be adjusted to be shortened on people who are thinner as extra fabric is meant for the thickness of one's shoulders Pros: - This dress is so gorgeous and flowy and fun to twirl in. It feels mature, yet vibrant; classy, yet edgy; modern yet timeless. It pretty much offers something for everyone. - fabric looks and feels luxurious. It's thick enough to hide sweat and provide support and comfort, but thin enough to not get overheated and not feel restricting. It has this almost ribbed texture, which is hard to visualize in photos, but it is so fun in person - the design and color insertion of the white is stunning! Summary: rent this dress for many an occasion for a wide range of ages, but be careful about what size you order and be prepared for zipper battle!

I rented this dress for my graduation and found it too sexy for a professional event. My details: 5' 8", 120lbs, 34C/D, 26" waist and the size 40 was probably the right fit, although slightly tight for someone with a bigger chest This dress was cool, but like my other dress, appeared cheaper in person than purchase price of dress. Also, I'm frustrated with how many expensive dresses on RTR, including this one, have cheap zippers. I couldn't wear this dress because the zipper got stuck in the down position and became too revealing. I would say this dress has limited use because it's too dressy for every day, but too casual for formal events. Perhaps a hot date night or a daytime fancier affair. Beware of it's tightness around the abdomen, which leaves no room for error. Also, be prepared to use the chest tightness as your bra, because it's hard to wear one with this cut.
