The dress itself is pretty and well-made, however, as multiple other reviews have said, it’s VERY tight and runs small even if you go 2 sizes up from your normal pre-pregnancy weight. In my case, I’m a 0/XS and went with a size 6 since it was the only size available (based on the reviews I would have gone with an 8). Luckily it worked out and I was able to wear it to my shower at 32 weeks pregnant, although it barely fit, was super tight and short even on me at 5’3. I don’t really see how this is a maternity dress. If you’re contemplating on renting, keep in mind the further along you are the smaller the fit will be. I recommend going at least 3 sizes up to be safe.

Cute, simple summer maternity dress. I didn’t find it particularly flattering for my body type, wore at 25 weeks pregnant. Fabric is light and straps tie to adjust, but qualify wise it felt a bit on the lower end.

I’ve tried two other Bumpsuit styles (one of which I own currently) and this one is by far the least comfortable or flattering style. To be fair I did rent an XS which is my pre-pregnancy size, so the fit might have been slightly less uncomfortable if I went with the S, but either way I don’t recommend this suit for two reasons: the straps are too thin and dig into your shoulders since they aren’t adjustable; the fit itself is not flattering due to the fabric bunching up in the groin area. Keep in mind you’ll also need to pull it off each time you use the restroom, which is a pain if you’re wearing something over it or out and about.

Lilly maxis can be hit or miss when you’re short and petite however I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I ordered my usual size XS and was able to wear it comfortably with flats at 24 weeks pregnant without having it trip me or drag on the ground like some other Lilly maxis I’ve tried. Colors are beautiful, love the tassels and design, and fabric is soft and airy. One thing to note if you’re petite and on the shorter side is that this is a rather flowy and not fitted dress so a bit of boxiness is expected. If you’re over 5’4 I don’t think that should be an issue. Overall I love this dress and highly recommend. Would have loved to purchase if it wasn’t so pricey.
