Here is the quick and dirty. There is an inner layer that is very fitted. If you're curvy, size up. The tulle is incredibly fragile. Mine came with so many rips & tears. Thankfully, I wore this in the evening and you couldn't see them all. I wish I would've had the time to look at it before putting it on. I would've definitely contacted RTR to send a replacement. I am 5'2 and it came to my ankles, which wasn't an issue for me. In fact, I liked it longer. However, if you're looking for a tea length for a short gal, this isn't it.

Fits like a glove, but surprisingly forgiving. Has a little band that you can't see in the stock photo that helps pull in your waist *even if you don't have one like me.* I'm built pretty athletic but am pretty bottom heavy. My boyfriend loved it and even the other adults (young and old) had compliments. The zipper is a bit fussy & the bottom of the zipper looked like it had some wear & tear. Would & most likely will rent this dress again. I have a long torso & short legs- perfect length. Was worried that the medium would either be too small or too big. FIT PERFECT. The top was a bit big but no one could tell. I see what other people mean by the low arm pits. Its an extra design flare that I enjoyed. Did not find it awkward at all. I think if you were less busty it may be a problem.
