This gown was great for the black tie optional wedding I just attended! The description says it’s black, but I swear it’s navy! I bought black shoes and a black shrug to accessorize and when the gown arrived I was surprised they didn’t work with the NAVY dress! I wore gold sandals and they looked great with it. Didn’t need a sweater/shrug layer because it was a warm night and the lining of the dress is very thick and warm. It’s kind of a double knit stiff fabric, about 1/8” thick. The lining gives the dress a nice structure, but it may be too warm for some. My last point is that it runs small. Thank goodness I ordered a 6 (my usual size 90% of the time) and 8. I could not even zip up the back of the 6, from the waist and up!! I measure 35.5” around the bust and there was no hope of closing the 6! The size 8 fit me well. I got many compliments!
