Perfect summer dress!

Fit was a little large in the neckline with a gap. Could have been addressed by wearing a bra, but I didn’t feel like it. It’s a beautiful June Sunday in Prospect Park and I’m here for it. Deep pockets that manage to not stick out like bunny ears. Subtle bubble. Truly love it.

Lightweight and wildly versatile
I’ve worn this 3x so far and each time it’s been a different vibe. No snaps for bra straps so I went with a strapless version. Some bras will show at square neckline, check your options. The bubble skirt is subtle, the pockets useful. Size down if between sizes.

Falling hard for these…
Incredibly comfortable thanks to the nicely subtle elastic in the rear of the waist. I think a 4P would have been the perfect size for me. The 4R was almost floor length, but fine even with Stan Smith’s. In all honesty, I would have preferred these to be lined and will wear them next time with opaque tights underneath to switch things up.

Perfect for late spring
Weighty white denim with brown contrasting stitching. Has some stretch but not much. Fit well enough that I skipped a bra. Pockets. Really versatile - dress up with espadrilles or wedges, of pair with Birks or sneakers. Would be too heavy for very hot weather. Great dress.

Yes, the print is beautiful and there are nice details like the trimmings on this cotton blouse, but I just didn’t like the fit. It’s beyond boxy and the potentially flattering square neckline just didn’t land right on my body. Felt very blousy in a matronly manner. Or maternity. No desire to hold this piece any longer.

Happy I sized up from my usual 4 to a 6
I might have been able to squeeze into a 4, but found these size 6 eyelet jeans to be extremely comfortable and a great length. I tend to be wide through the waist and these were perfect for my body type. Hips and thighs were roomy for me. Will add a bit of bulk to my carry on exclusively luggage, but will nonetheless pack these for 2 weeks in Ireland. Bringing a navy merino wool sweater and my navy suede Adidas sneakers to mix things up a tad. Not for hot weather, I’d say.

A slow burn kind of love for this shirtwaist dress
I was tepid on this when I wore it with Stan Smith’s and a dark blue cardigan, but, on second wear, I fell in love! Wore tonight with black capri length footless tights and black Doc Marten Mary Janes. Loved the fit and now find myself seriously considering packing this sweet dress for my upcoming family visit to Ireland. Flatttering, comfortable and versatile.

Fabulous frock!
There’s a definite vintage vibe to the cut and fabric of this dress. It would have been a perfect 5 if it had pockets! A little snug in ribcage but that’s common for me. No bra necessary, exposes cleavage prettily. Despite 3 layers of fabric (slip, tulle, burned velvet (?), there remained a surprising sheerness. I wore with footless tights and a cardigan on top because, although this sweet dress screams “spring!,” we’re still living in winter conditions in the northeast.

This dress, as a number of complimenters noted, is the perfect early spring dress. The fabric is very lightweight, and even a tad sheer, but I wore a vintage, eyelet trimmed chemise underneath it, left a few buttons (top and bottom) undone and leaned in. This dress feels great on and we all love pockets, right? Wore with classic Chuck Taylors and plan to wear with a short sleeved brown merino sweater for an added layer on cooler days. Will also look adorbs with brown booties and my whisper of pink moto jacket. Love. 💕 I might keep this a couple of cycles.

Warm sweater with a peekaboo surprise
Heavyweight and a bit shapeless in the torso, but still a solid piece. I wore over a literal slip with Frye engineer boots with a chunky necklace and liked the season transitioning look. Sleeves are almost mutton with a generous amount of fabric that tapers at the cuff. Would consider buying.

I forgot how great my legs are!
Ok, this is a romper, not a dress. I wore with a button down underneath because in upstate New York, sleeveless in February isn’t an option. The fit definitely doesn’t reveal curves and it requires a 3 minute lead time for bathroom breaks, but I felt pretty fab wearing this romper. Maje needs to step up their game in terms of notions like the plastic gold buttons feel cheap, in my opinion.

Definitely a change from the usual jeans
The first time I wore these, I was tepid on the fit. They felt a little tight in the waist and the length falls into a weird place between stylish and awkward. When I wore them a second time, I was much more enthusiastic and the fit in the waist felt comfortable. These are heavier weight and great for winter. Wear with booties to close the gap between hem and ankles on cold days, would be cute with a pair of Adidas or Keds in warmer climates.

Runs a little large but wildly comfortable
Wore for my retirement (!) party and felt like a million bucks. Pulls on overhead which means hair styling comes after getting dressed. Sequins snag long hair, so an updo is probably your best bet. I think an x-small might have fit me better in length, but I was perfectly happy in the small. It’s a sexy, classy dress that earns compliments effortlessly.

I loved the fabric and warmth of this dress but it did nothing for my athletic shape. Sleeves were a bit long which would make for problematic dining and there’s a weird horizontal line through the dress that, on my body, was too low for an empire waist and too high for my natural waist. You might do better with it than I did. One wearing and done for me.
