It's not the size that didn't work for me, it was the sheer size of the shoulder pads. Made it very difficult to take myself seriously.

Reports of the waistband's design flaws are NOT exaggerated
The M was a little big on me, but beyond that, the waistband is not substantial enough for how heavy the skirt was. I had to hold the skirt in order for it to not get pulled down while walking.
