I got this as an option for a black tie wedding coming up. I knew it wasn't my fave of my choices because a standard black dress just isn't my personality. That said, this is a pretty dress and fits well which is why I gave it 5 stars! It just didn't do anything for my athletic but square-like body. I am only 5'2" and the length was fine, which is very rare! I just felt even with all the slits and cut outs that it didn't have the right shape and in the lower abdomen area it doesn't like flat making me look extra bloated and you cant wear shapewear bc of the open back. Not my fave, but might be yours! Hope this helps.

I am glad I listened to the other reviews saying this runs small but it's not like its WAY off on sizing. It's pretty standard in my opinion and just runs small. I typically wear a small or medium and so I ordered both seeing as the sizing said the small was 4-6 and med was 8-10. I have a 27in ish waist and weigh somewhere in the 125-130lb range (dont own a scale ditch that negativity!) and both the small and med fit. The small was SNUG, like shapewear snug and not comfortable (looked good though!), so I am choosing to wear the medium to the wedding I got this for in a few weeks because it has a little breathing room. Overall, this dress is certainly made for more petite bodies (not that I have ever considered my big thigh bod petite) but def size up at least one! If you're between sizes teetering on the next size up, size up two! Hope this helps!
