Very fitted, runs small
I rented two dresses from Elizabeth and James as options for my bachelortte party. I know the brand runs really small from trying it on at department stores. I ended up wearing this which was my backup dress. It was cute but not the most flattering in the stomach area and there is no give at all to the fabric. I recommend the dress if you have a very flat stomach.

The brand runs just way too small.
Elizabeth and James runs VERY small. I know this from trying the brand on at department stores. So rather than getting a size 6, which is my normal size, I requested the 8 and 10, unfortunately the 10 was out. The 8 was VERY small. I could have worn it, but with the cut outs and being so tight, it was not cute on me at all. I wore my backup.

Dress was too big and not appropriate for the summer.
The dress is huge. I ordered a 6 or 8, generally I'm an 8 or 10 in designer clothes, but I went with smaller sizing because of my working out lately. I really thought I'd need the 8. Also customers complained it was tight in the arms. I have meaty arms and this was not the case at all. I could have gotten the 40 and it would have been good! Please note this dress is NOT for spring or summer. It's a heavy knit with thick metallic gold thread throughout. The photos do not reflect this! It would be a perfect Holiday dress. The dress is beautifully made and good quality. Just be sure to size down.
