I rented this as a backup, but didn't end up wearing it. The fit was great, true to size, and it was flattering overall. The sequins provide great camouflage for any little imperfections, while still showing off an hourglass figure. The reason I didn't wear it in the end was that on me, the color was a little garish. I'm brunette, not super tall—and the large, bright silver, spangly sequins (with some subtle blues and reds mixed in) were a bit much in the end. For brunettes, I'd maybe recommend the other, similar Mark & James dress—the "Rich and Famous" one in the bronze color. But I bet this one would look amazing on somebody taller, or maybe with different coloring!

This dress is cute and VERY flattering! The sequins provide enough texture that with some basic spanx, even a curvy figure looks slim and smooth. Win! A medium would have fit me better, but RTR was all out. I was luckily able to get away with the large, because it was generally a somewhat clingy/stretchy dress. The color/sparkle is festive without being too bright or too much. The sequins are a nice small size, which makes them understated—at least for sequins. Whatever that means. Anyway, I got a ton of compliments and would definitely rent this again for a holiday party.

Unfortunately, this dress wasn't what I expected. I think it might be better on a taller girl, or at least someone longer through the body. I'm short-waisted, and also pretty busty, so it ended up looking matronly on me. Also, the neckline is VERY low, so if you're busty, there's a lot of cleavage. It's a beautiful dress, but it hit me in all the wrong places. Oh, well!

This dress was a huge hit! It's very flattering for hourglass shapes, since it highlights/creates a small waist while showing off curves. I'm a 34D, and while I don't usually wear a strapless bra under dresses with structure/boning, in this case, I DID need to. The dress is not as supportive up top as it could be, probably because it's been worn by many girls at this point. I was a little worried that the dress would look too youthful in person, with all the sequins and the fuller skirt, but it ended up being very sophisticated after all—something about the sheer black chiffon and the beautiful draping. It was totally fun and sparkly, and although the neckline was low, with the full, flowing skirt, it wasn't too revealing and still felt appropriate at a wedding.

I LOOOOVED this dress. (So much so that I eventually bought it!) I'm busty (a D cup), not very tall, and an average weight. I found it to be extremely flattering. It's a great dress for an hourglass shape. I got tons of compliments on it. Highly recommended!
