This absolutely lovely dress delivers in every regard. The quality of the lace (and everything else!) is beautifully high, and it's a perfect weight for a cool-weather indoor event. The fabric (both lace and lining) has wonderful form-fitting stretch, and molds itself to your body. It feels substantial, and yet soft. I'm about 5'6", with measurements pretty close to 36-26-36; the 4R fit me like a glove, and the length was PERFECT with 1.5" heels, just touching the tops of my toes and sweeping along gorgeously when I walked. This dress is so comfortable to wear, and I sang a recital in it with no issues whatsoever in terms of the dress having enough give to allow me to breathe. The only thing about this dress that didn't feel as though it was made for me was the length of the torso - it was a touch long for me, an issue that I sometimes experience with a variety of clothing. But it still looked beautiful! It is quite low-cut in the front, so I wore a plunge bra that gave me good shape but didn't hold me up too high, and that seemed to work well. I added a sash of my own, which to my eye, the dress needed. I had no issue at all with having enough space for my bust, no matter which bra I tried it with, because the fabric has such graceful give. This one is beautiful, feminine, unique, and so worth renting!!!

This wonderful dress was simply perfect for a performance of Early French Baroque arias that I sang last weekend! The fit is superb, and the 4R worked perfectly; I rented the 2R as well, and in fact I could have worn that size, but the 4R gave me a bit more room for breathing and still looked beautiful. The cut fit my hourglass figure perfectly! The embroidery is GORGEOUS, and the quality of the fabric and construction is very high, making the dress stunning both up close and from a distance. I am 5'6", and the length was nearly perfect in 1.5" heels - the back of the dress dragged on the ground just slightly. The fabric is billed as having no stretch, but I did find that it relaxed ever so *slightly* once it warmed to my body. Rent this charming dress!!! It would be perfect for a formal event or wedding!

I rented this dress to go on a summer weekend trip, and even on a very hot day it was so comfortable! It's an absolutely beautiful print made of fine printed mesh, and the colors are beautiful and saturated, but still soft. I rented the smallest two sizes available, and as you can just see in the photo, the bodice area of the 42R was nicely form-fitting. I probably could have even sized down a couple of sizes with how stretchy the fabric was, in which case the length would have been a bit better (it fell below mid-calf for me in 42R). A total winner for sunmer dates, getaways, weddings and parties!

This dress is DIVINE. Wear it on a warm, breezy night, and expect to feel like a princess on a sophisticated Riviera holiday. It floats, it flutters, it's an elegant little coquette of a dress! The fabric is DREAMY to wear: high-quality, silky, and light. The print is so feminine, tasteful, and perfect. It's what Charlotte York would wear if she wanted to inspire a man to make things exclusive (it's a bit too ingenue for Carrie!). :) The FIT, however, is LARGE, just as other reviewers have said. I wore the smallest size, 0, and it was perfect - but with such an open back, if it had had any extra room, it would have been slipping off my shoulders constantly. I'm obsessed with this dress, and will rent it again as soon as the weather warms up. It looks equally fantastic with delicate heels, and slightly-dressy wedges. It's begging to be worn to parties, dates, and weddings!

I rented this dress for a photo shoot, and LOVED IT!!! The tapestry fabric is absolutely STUNNING, and looks very rich and shimmery and just beautiful. The bodice of the 4R barely accomodated my 30F bust, and maybe smashed it slightly - but I didn't care, because otherwise, the dress is just so beautiful and perfect. The cut is amazing, and the dress looks very Elizabethan/Baroque. The soft, lush/substantial woven fabric - so high-quality and detailed - does have a little give once it warms up, so I recommend trying to keep it on for a while before you make the call on whether the size you're wearing is right (probably safest to order your regular size and one size up, if you can). I can never find this dress anymore here on RtR (I rented it in Oct 2016), which may mean it's "retired"... and that would make me sad! If I ever see it pop up again, I will invent an excuse to rent it!!

I was dying to try Temperley, and was hoping, despite details & reviews, that this dress had just a bit more stretch & softness. It was not to be. The crocheted(?) fabric is a bit... I don't quite know how else to descibe it... crispy? The 4R just zipped on my 5'6", ~125lb, 30F figure, and it didn't have much give. I just felt like I wouldn't enjoy wearing it for that reason; and also because, while black and a bit gothy-feminine, it veered a bit too much toward the prairie vibe for my taste. Not a win for me, but probably on slightly-taller, more moderate-busted women, it would be much cuter. Just beware, again: minimal stretch.

This dress is so gorgeous and beautifully-made, and it's an absolute pleasure to wear. It's very Parisian-girl-in-late-autumn - LOVE it so much! But instead of being completely feminine, sophisticated, and luxe-Bohemian, on my 5'6" frame it fell almost to the toes of my 1"-heel booties, and just read as "conservative." :( I probably could have worn a size XXS, if it were available; the size XS fit pretty well, especially with a nicely-shaped bra, but there was bit of extra room in the torso area, and the proportions were just a bit long. If you're tall enough for the length to fall more mid-calf, this dress would be pure magic for a low-key yet sophisticated cool-weather event. Le sigh.

This dress, which I rented as an option for a recital, definitely didn't work for me. I'm wondering if it would've worked better in a Pettite size? Ultimately, the Regular size looked very... frumpy on my 5'6", 30F, slender- hourglass figure. It was too much fabric across the bust & shoulders, resulting in too much (and awkward) coverage, weirdly-fitting shoulder area, along with an awkwardly- placed waistline. Combined with the width of the voluminous skirt - I couldn't wait to take it off. NEXT! I just couldn't figure this dress out - but if a Pettite size is ever available and it's discounted, I may consider giving that a go. I think it may have been a scale and proportion problem, even though I'm *technically* slightly too tall to be Pettite... Fabric is pretty; but if it doesn't fit you, it looks more like you're wearing a curtain!! Research fit thoroughly, and/or talk to a RtR Stylist if possible, before renting.

I rented this dress for a DIY photo shoot. I could wear it both with and without a plunge bra; despite some boning in the bodice, I felt that my bust looked a bit better with the additional structure provided by the bra. The dress has a lot of stretch, so I think it would accomodate a wide range of figures. I MIGHT even have been able to size down. The length on my 5'6" frame was just to the floor in flats, and I'd prefer it to be a bit longer if I were to actually wear it for an event, as I'd want the elegance factor. I didn't love this dress, because I'm not the biggest fan of all-over lace; and I felt that the lace on this dress looked good quality, but not amazing. I also didn't like the fact that it was DEFINITELY boob-a-licious - with my 30F bustline, it was definitely a bit much for my taste. I think it would be just perfect on B/C-size ladies, though!!!

This dress in a Size 4 fit me like it was MADE ON MY BODY - which NEVER happens!!! I'm 5'6", ~125 lbs, 30F bust, 25 jeans, and nearly always XS/0-2 in non-formal dresses. I also loved the length: just above the floor on me with flats, which I love because i try to avoid wearing heels (car accident :( ). Also, the front keyhole style was definitely fetching, but not outrageous, even on my F-cup bustline. I would say that the fabric has virtually zero stretch. What didn't work well for me about this dress was the color - just too brassy and yellow- toned for my coloring; and also the fact that the fabric does indeed scratch your skin, particularly at the armholes. If you plan to rent this dress, just be prepared to endure that! I do think it would be GORGEOUS on women with darker complexions than mine (I'm a natural redhead with a neutral skintone (rare)) - especially women with an hourglass shape!

This dress simply didn't suit me, as a 5'6" woman with a (slender) hourglass figure: the proportions of width vs. length of the dress, vs. my height and curves, just weren't a win. The sizing seemed to run a bit small, as well, and the dress has pretty much no stretch. It's very pretty, with lots of delicate - but colorful! - embroidery details; it's an unapologetically romantic party dress that I think would look absolutely stunning on a 5'8" or taller, slender brunette or blonde! I would think a super-feminine, detailed necklace and some very pretty strappy heels would be just killer with this dress. It does have substantial structure in the bodice, so i think smaller-busted women than me (I'm 30F) could wear it quite comfortably without a bra. Somebody please rent this who can rock it!!!

This dress is perfectly-named, because it truly looks like a frothy, decorative, rose-garlanded confection. I wasn't sure I could pull it off as a 5'6" woman with a (slender) hourglass figure - it would definitely be easiest for a 5'10" 110-lb model!! BUT - I went for it (rented it for a recital that I performed), and it was CHARMING. The keys for me were to choose accessories very carefully (I wore more delicate pearl ones and a tiny-pearl-encrusted headband), rock soft and romantic hair, add a fine, lacy camisole under it (the open back and my bust size required intervention!), and a careful steaming of the crinoline before wearing - particularly around the hips. I wore the 38, which I've discovered is pretty much my European size; though the plunge in front and open back make the non-stretch fit a touch more flexible. Based on that, I'd say it runs pretty much true to size. The dress piled up slightly on the floor when I wore 1.5-inch heels. For a very formal gown, it was incredibly light and comfortable to wear! If you have a formal event where you can rock a bit of a fairy-tale princess vibe, RENT this delectable frock!

This dress is the BOMB-DIGGITY! Fabric is light but very high-quality, and contains a good amount of stretch, which makes it skim your curves ever so gracefully! I'm 5'6", and I wore the XS, which fit my body perfectly and fell to the bottom of my ankle bone. The vibe of this dress to me is very 1950s Parisian, and it's so beautifully made that it DOESN'T look charicatured, unlike many dresses that throw off a vintage vibe. I wore a knee-length black slip under it, because the skirt & underskirt are rather sheer; there's also a sheer band on the torso, but that didn't bother me because the fabric is beautiful. You could dress this dress up or down in a snap. Rent it, you can't lose!!!

STUNNER. In my opinion, this dress runs small. The 8 barely fit me, & I'm consistently an XS/25 jeans/0-2 in non-formalwear. It does have a good % of spandex/lycra/stretch, though, so plan to wear it for @ least an hour before stepping out, & it'll warm & meld to your body. SOOOO elegant, restrained, & yet smoldering!!! This is a gorgeous dress that's a pleasure to wear - but it's most beautiful quality is the way it moves! The fabric is light, but hangs with just enough weight for the ruffles to flow elegantly down your figure when you're standing still. Then, when you move, all those scrumptious ruffles flow and flutter like butterflies! It's a stunning effect. I received many compliments. The only tricky part of the dress is the bodice: if you're large-busted like me, it can look a bit amorphous across the front without a bra/the right bra. Aside from that, this dress is flawless: beautiful quality, superb details (an inner ribbon with a clip, to help the defined natural waist stay in the right place!), gorgeous movement, and a bit of give in the fabric to allow the dress to mold to your curves as it warms with wear. I also CANNOT SAY ENOUGH about RtR's service - absolutely extraordinary. When does one ever have the experience of feeling like a company bent over backwards to ensure an excellent customer experience? But that's certainly what they did for me.
