Rented this dress for a formal wedding held at an old train station. Wondered if the color would be appropriate for a summer wedding but with my melon colored nail polish and gold shoes, purse and accessories it worked out great. I wore the medium size and was slightly concerned about the fit around my ribs when I tried it on. I’m a size 36 bra but I do have broad shoulders. Once I had it on for the event and adjusted the straps, it did seem to fit a little better. The length is long as mentioned in the other reviews. I wore a two inch heel and with my height of 5”5” it touched the floor nicely. I did feel like I needed to hold it up to walk further distances though. Aside from having to figure a few things out about the dress, it is a great one. So many compliments and I had a blast wearing it!

I attended a black tie wedding on Memorial Day weekend and figured I should go all out for this formal event. Although I don’t know many fashion designers, I told someone I would be wearing a Badgley Mischka and they were impressed. Regarding the fit of the dress, I ordered a size 4 and 6 like the last time I used RTR. This time the size 4 was a little tight around the shoulders but the perfect length. The size six was strangely much longer even though they were both regular length. Since I was right on the border for height, I wasn’t sure which length to choose. The size 4 worked out great with the flats that I chose to wear. I wanted to note that by folding down my right bra strap, I was even able to wear a regular bra with this off the shoulder dress. Keep in mind is that this dress is a bit heavy with all the embellishments but what a fun dress to wear! Everyone kept complementing me on what a beautiful dress it was. Definitely worth renting!

When I read the reviews for this dress, other ladies had described this dress as fitting tight around the hips. I wear a size 4 pants so I guessed that either the size 4 or 6 would work for me. When I tried them both on the 4 did not fit at all so I'd agree with them but the other area to keep in mind was the chest. I am a size 36B and the bust and ribcage area were also pretty tight. The size 6 did work for the wedding but in general the dress was snug. I'd suggest maybe trying a size bigger and then another size bigger for your event. It seems other people would agree with the chest being tight because my size 4 dress was torn in the cleavage. The torn dress didn't fit me so it didn't really matter but having the extra size is a nice perk to make you feel more confident that you will have a dress that fits. Regardless of the damaged second dress, I did enjoy my RTR experience. I have another wedding coming up in May so I'll be ordering a dress for that event too. Something really funny about the wedding I attended is that another woman was wearing the maroon Nicole Miller dress I considered renting. Glad I chose the black one.
