This was my backup dress but the minute I put it on...... I fell in love. It definitely hugs every inch. I don't have any curves but this dress sure made it look like I did. Compliments all night. And for as snug as it fits (it's designed to), it was very comfortable to wear. I ate dinner, sat & moved around just fine. For a classy yet sexy look, this is a great option. I'm 5'5" & 107lbs, 32B & it fit great. The length hit right at the top of my arch in a 3.5" heel.

I rented this to wear to Jersey Boys, but ended up wearing the Studio 54 Halston to the show because our dressy dinner was immediately following the show without time to change. So I didn't get to wear this dress. But I did try it on. The XS fit perfectly. A bit longer than expected, but it was so cute on! I was crushed I didn't get to wear it. I'm looking for an excuse to rent it again so I can actually wear it! FYI it's not really black, it's more like 2 shades of navy. Very flattering. The sash really cinches in your waist and it is slimming. But for us short/average girls it does fall a bit longer or closer to the knees, depending on how much you blouse the top. Very striking dress and very comfortable also! Someone mentioned the quality of the material, but I thought the quality was very nice. Maybe I got a garment that had not been rented very often therefore had very little wear and tear. But I was happy with the quality, it was what I expected for a BCBG Runway garment.

The dress is gorgeous. I'd say it runs a tad big. I'm usually a 2 but ordered the 4 because the 2 was unavailable and I was a little worried about the length. The 4 worked ok. The sash/belt wasn't included when I received the dress, but it was fine without it. I didn't have any trouble with the wrap part of the skirt revealing too much as other reviews mentioned, but I did wear opaque tights with it. I used dress tape at the bust, worked fine to contain "the girls' otherwise you would have an issue. But that's certainly not uncommon with designer clothes. Ultimately I would recommend this dress to anyone. It is very flattering! The drape is perfect, I think it would fall nicely on shapely body types although I haven't a curve one (curse the boy shape!), it did give me an illusion of a booty. :) I wore it will an edgier necklace, but works with edgy or feminine pieces.
