Hard pass.
This was fantastically absurdly inansely over the top and I had to rent it immediately. It is just as WTF in person, and I wanted to wear it even more just to work on a Tuesday, but you just can't do that. You could only ever wear this in a place where you drive or are always going to be in a car or are just planning to stand still and be a trophy in denim because the denim is so so so so heavy that the movement of the pieces that hang feel like you're wearing soaking wet bath towels hanging off your skirt. They're heavy, they swing like massive elephant trunks and if the skirt is even remotely too big, the weight of the pieces pulls the skirt off your human body. I wish it worked, I wanted it to work, I'd still rent it if I were going some place in a car to then stand in a room--because also sitting down would not be a reason to wear this number.

Yeah, this was a great dress. I wore it with Doc Marten combat boots, and it was the perfect styling for it in these colder months. Really flattering and ultra feminine. Loved this.

Let's just say, the very first thing that Laura from Legal said to me the day I wore it was: Kate, I want to rip that top off of you. And she had a point--it was so dang cute. I has a really structured peplum situation, and the back is open but crossed so not really open, and the color is on point...so many good things about it for such a seemingly simple top. Def rent this number.

No, this isn't cute. It's not the sequins in the middle of the day for no reason thing--that part is great. Also, the length of the top is *perfect*. It's the purple "tank top" design + the higher puffed sleeves makes you look like your boobs are suuuuuuper saggy. I took it off immediately.

Look, this skirt is crazy cute. Fit like ma glove. Super cute and flattering. But I couldn't walk in it. At all. It's cut so insanely slim and it has no slit. It's not like, eh it was hard to walk in. No. I couldn't walk. I had to carry it like the Victorian era just to move. It was insane. If I wasn't lifting it up over my knees--which is absolutely not the point, and literally so uncute and embarrassing all day--I walked like a geisha. It was awful. As much as want to take my bra off when I get home, on this day, I could not wait to get the skirt off so my legs could exhale. The skirt is way too long for someone with short legs to wear it, let alone be able to walk in it. So it's just us long legged people, and there is exactly zero chance a model with legs walked so much as out of a dressing room in this comfortably, let alone in front of a design team or down a runway. Do not think you won't mind--you absolutely will and it'll be way too late because you already left the house.

Here's the thing....
...I did not personally love the dress, but like I told my coworker, no one else knew that, and it was really pretty, so I rocked it, and it got a ton of compliments. I will say, the slit--which you'd think/hope is an important part of the dress--is so underwhelming and anticlimactic. It's not a flattering slit height--it needed to be way higher up the leg because where it falls is almost unflattering and matronly. And I'm tall, and it even hit me at a rough place. I wouldn't rent it again, but that's just a personal style thing--it was otherwise great and different from everyone else's current denim dresses.

I was surprised by how much I loved this. I wore it with Nike Dunk wedges and it was the perfect styling for it--otherwise, it could read a little bland. It's a great fabric, and the cut is ultra flattering, but it needs...something.

Y'all, this is a PIECE, it's not a dress. It weighs about 348763 pounds, it's like 34098675 yards of this insanely gorgeous like black matelasse fabric and it has a beautiful open back with three ultra thin ties. I had numerous people stop to tell me how incredible it was. It's just so incredible. I would own this dress even if I never wore it again just to know I owned it. Except it so expensive so I can't afford it but I will absolutely rent it again.

Ugh, I loved this top. I wore it with the Levis Ultra Wide Leg jeans and it was just enough skin to be fine for the office, but also exactly what I wanted to wear when I got my hair cut later and had to parade through a salon of rich brats who I knew would be looking at my fit. And I slayed in this. Rent it.

So, I would probs not rent or wear this again, but that's just because it wasn't really my style. But it was still beautiful, and the print is really gentle and feminine, I'd only wear it with a slim jean because it's got some legit volume, and in hindsight, I wish I'd rented it in the summer because I bet with cutoffs, it's super cute. This dress was so fun. It absolutely looks like an upholstered couch from Vegas in the 80s, but that's the gag. It's a little tacky, and a little pearlescent, and too much fabric, and too much volume, and juuuuuuuuuuuust a little too short, and sooooo flirty and absolutely adorable and so fun to wear all day. Rent this one!

I wore it to work and I was accidentally and joyfully much hotter than I thought I'd be. Like, I had people stopping me on the street and talking about how cute the dress was as I'd pass them. If I were a rich lady, I'd've bought this dress.

Unfortunately, this dress didn't work, and I wasn't able to wear it. There was no version of tying the halter that was flattering to my bust, and the volume and structure of the skirting wasn't flattering either. It was a bummer, because it's so cute and the fabric is a gorgeous weight.

Ah. Dorable.
This was the best dress. It's absurdly big in its footprint--it's got yardage of ruffles and huge puffed sleeves (the picture does not do it justice, and steam it first for impact). It screams, like, vintage Laura Ashley from the early 90s. I got so many compliments, I felt very extra in the best way; you can't be a wallflower or in a bad mood in this number. The fabric is thick and has structure, but also a bit of stretch--this dress cannot be worn if it's too big, you lose the "It" factor. S'cute!

Repeat Rent.
I don't repeat outfits in real life, let alone when I rent them and can pick anything, but I rented this dress again. I LOVE this dress. The fabric, the fit, the cut, the color, the bows...it's the BEST party dress. You can eat and dance and sweat and ...... I purposefully do not take pictures in the dress, in fact, because I want to be able to repeat it anywhere and not have it not be seen before. I love this dress.

The dress is sooooo pretty, the pencil pleats are perfect, but it's not flattering at all. It really does just...hang there. I have a small c-cup chest, and I felt like my boobs were HUGE in this because the dress just hangs off of them, and the pleats make them look jiggly--sorry, but it's true. It's so pretty tho and absolutely baby/bridal showery--but not date-night, you know?

This is a super pretty and classy dress, but it's not as flattering as the picture. I recco not tying the ribbons into bows--makes it too wide, and the ribbons are long enough to just cross and fall loosely. If you wanna be ultra chic and err on the side of classy and more-conservative, this is it. The color is dreamy and it looks expensive and "smart" as my grandmother would say...going for a Boss Babe--or your kid's preschool--interview, or meeting your future mother-in-law...all perfect scenarios....

It fit like a dream, no complaints there. But I did not wear it because it's actually unwearable. It's completely see-through, no matter your undergarment--completely. But more importantly, it's a totally strange design. There is no cape, it's just two side flaps because the fabric is all sewn down. So when it wants to billow like a cape, it doesn't, the flaps just open to the side instead. And since it is NOT billowing like a cape, the back view is very...unattractive. I took this off as fast as I put it on, this one is a miss.

It's just snug everywhere. Hold your stomach in all day kinda snug--the wrap-dress element isn't real, it's a dress with a faux wrap--so if it doesn't fit, you can't adjust it. Also, the denim is SO thick that zipper is impossible to use through the thick seams. I didn't wear it.
