I usually wear a 6 and wore a 2 in this dress. I have wider shoulders and waist and narrow hips/small butt for reference. I found this dress to be surprisingly forgiving in terms of hiding my holiday tummy and the material is similar to a neoprene/scuba - but a little thinner with a light amount of stretch.

This dress is stunning but I didn't get to wear it, as it was FAR too small. I would likely have needed to order two sizes up for it to fit well. Definitely give it a try, but size up!
