Awesome denim staple
I actually love these jeans. I didn’t think I’d go for a light wash, but the checkerboard pattern makes the dimension really interesting. I liked them a little oversized, a little baggy. Might have to pick these up at the end of the season…

This coat reminded me of the sleeping bag you had in college, and when your husband wants to go camping 15 years later you pull it out of storage and you’re like, “oh, hmph, this is bland…” My senior mom thought it was nice, but my husband and brother snort-laughed every time they saw me shuffling around in it. Did not keep long.

Great Versatile Dress
I was receiving an award at a daytime ceremony in a male-dominated space, I really struggled to find something I felt was appropriate but still fun and classy. There were no reviews so this was a risk, but I really loved this dress! So many beautiful colors in a not-too-overwhelming pattern, which makes it easy to accessorize. I’m always worried about things being too short, but this was perfect just-past-fingertips on my 5’9” body. Loved this choice.

The Most Unflattering Marshmallow
Perhaps this coat was completely untouched by human hands before I received it. This may explain why it was the absolute puffiest of puffy. It's giving Randy from A Christmas Story puffy. I couldn't even let my family see me in this before I was urgently stuffing it back in the bag.

Interesting Cut in Average Material
I rented this for my daughter’s first holy communion. This dress looked cool and fun but the material is a thin cotton that just made me feel like it wasn’t fancy enough to suit the dress style. Or maybe I just wanted something a little fancier. I added a fascinator and a high edgy shoe to elevate my look.

Extra Elevated Leather
I like Samantha Sipo’s leather jackets, I’ve rented a few over the years. This one came along on a February trip to London. It was very comfortable over a t-shirt, and a silk dress; and just short of snug over a fitted sweater dress. I am someone who is always cold, so I worried it wouldn’t be warm enough for London’s blustery 40 degree days, but particularly over the sweater dress, I was surprisingly warm. Maybe a little chilly in the dress and t shirt. Don’t expect to layer this over something very thick. It’s also cropped, and not comfortable when fully zipped. A good classic to have in the closet during cooler months.

Why I have RTR
On no planet would I be the type of person to spend a thousand dollars on electric blue parachute pants, so I rent them instead. These pants were SO fun, SO wearable, SO versatile, even if they are electric blue parachute pants. I don't go anywhere fun enough to make a statement outfit out of them, but they certainly made me the coolest mom in the neighborhood for a couple of weeks. So cool I was tempted to ask my tailor to copy them, but the more I looked at the quality and detail, the more I realized why they are thousand dollar parachute pants.

For Tiny Young Women Only
Rented this as an option to wear to the Nutcracker with my daughter, but even if I had been able to zip it up all the way, this dress had no business on my body. I looked like I was dressing up for a doll competition. Be a young, lithe woman looking to get a little sweet and silly in this dress, not a 42 year old parent looking to get festive.

The material is incredible, but even knowing this was going to be oversized, it just came off sloppy. Huge in the shoulders, baggy in the back, it was not the "nice coat to wear over my nice dress" look that I was hoping for. I actually felt kind of embarrassed in it.

What cut is this?!
I rented this in an XL because I don't mind an oversized look and sometimes need a little more room in a romper. I was swimming in this piece, but what truly made it remarkable was the length in the shorts was non-existent. My actual cheeks were hanging out. There is no possible way I could wear this in public.

I know this brand runs OVERSIZE, and I was not paying attention when I chose my size. Although, I'm not sure that sizing down 2-3 sizes would have helped. I don't understand the point of making this shirt so large and then calling it a large. It was so big I couldn't keep it on my body.

Fun Spring Dress!
I rented it and then figured I'd find somewhere to wear it. :) It went to a chilly Mother's Day brunch on the water and a record-hot NYC street festival. The color is perfection and makes it fun to pair with edgier accessories. The fabric is not super duper breathable so I was definitely sweating a bit on a 90 degree day. This dress stands out!

Death By Poncho Drowning
This poncho is open on the sides and has a single button in the front. Even the medium just felt...huge. It was the perfect piece to have with me when the temperatures were cooler than expected, because it was so roomy I could even layer it over my leather jacket, but this is more of an "eh, I'll rent it" vs a "must have" rental.

Great Casual Easter Look
I didn't want to wear a dress for Easter and focused on jumpsuits. I love Banjanan so I felt confident renting this. I ordered an XL instead of L for "eating room," but overall I think this was the right choice to have a little more room. The material is very thin. I worried about it being too sheer, so watch your undergarments!

It's Red Valentino, so of course the fit, cut and quality are excellent. I rented it to wear to the Nutcracker with my daughter but COVID cancelled our plans, so I ended up wearing it to host an event at my business. It's an homage to retro without being too twee, comfortable length on my tall body, and nice enough to make me look just slightly fancier than usual. I know Co runs big, and it was my fault for accidentally ordering an XL, but the sizing of this shirt just didn't make sense. Even if I had ordered a size or two smaller, it's hard to imagine the sleeve holes still wouldn't have been large enough to put my head through. Made it work for a Saturday with the kids but would have been nice to wear this a couple times without risk of drowning in it.

I tend to size up in pants because the good Lord was handing out extra hips and booty on the day she made me, but this was a very bad idea. Pants were HUGE everywhere, from waist, to thigh, to calf. Stay true to size.

Great item - need more stock!
It is super hard to snag ski gear via RTR Unlimited because the stock is so low. I couldn't get a "matching" set but grabbed pieces as they became available. This Perfect Moment jacket was, well, perfect for a day of snow tubing with my kids. Very warm, very comfortable, lots of pockets to stash things, easy to move around in and chase my little kids. Snag if you can!

Boxy and warm
I didn't realize I rented a size smaller than I would normally wear, which explains why it felt a bit shrunken and boxy on me, but it was a decent fit. I would have rather had the large but it wasn't too noticeable. It's sort of fleece-lined, and very warm. No need to layer too heavily.

Winery Wedding
I struggled to find something I liked for a Catskills winery wedding. This was pretty safe but it was flattering and appropriate. Kate Spade dresses seem to be running smaller and smaller lately. I wore a 12 in the black bow dress this time last year right after having a baby; I'm down over 20 lbs and this dress didn't feel much better in size than what I wore a year ago. It has pockets, I know some women don't consider a dress to be worth wearing unless it has pockets.

Where's the rest of it?!
Tried this as an option for a wedding, but it was unwearable. While the overall fit was good, and the style was cute, there is absolutely no lining in the layers of lace below the waist. The lining ended at the bottom of my buttocks and the bottom layers were just sheer lace. I don't understand how it's possible for anyone to wear this dress. At 5'9" I was completely and totally exposed. Sent back without wearing. Only option would be to later over leggings - not even tights or hose would work.

I'm using my unlimited membership to try different dresses for an upcoming winery wedding. This just didn't suit the atmosphere. At once too fancy and not fancy enough. Nha Khan dresses are ideal for short-torso'd ladies but I felt like I was wearing a doll's dress. More suited for high school and college events IMO.

Colors didn't quite pop
I love Zac Posen handbags, but this one just didn't sing for me. The yellow is much more buttery than bright, and the floral detail is a removable chain. No matter where I placed it, it always migrated to the back of the bag, and what's the point if you can't really see and enjoy the nice detail?

This skirt has an elastic waist and apparently renders it size-less - I rented a smaller size than I would normally wear and was positively swimming in it. Just too much skirt to be flattering or stylish IMO.

Almost too cutesy.
Rented this for a parents' night out at a Michelin Star restaurant. Is there ever such a thing as "true to size" when it comes to Kate Spade? I've worn everything from 8-14 in the last few months, though it's hard to measure as I'm losing baby weight. This fit great. I loved the little details - the ruffles, the ric-rac. However, I wish I had chosen edgier accessories to counter the floral tweeness of the dress. I definitely styled it wrong. But overall I liked the dress a lot and got a lot of compliments.

A nice summer dress.
Snagged this for a quick weekend getaway to DC. The fabric is not a natural fiber so I was worried it would be really sweaty, but it worked out fine. Even wore it to the pool with my kids when I realized I'd forgotten my swimsuit. Be prepared to show some leg with that high split; and the color is way more cornflower than navy. Overall, cute dress.
